Chapter 118 He Attended the Party to Inquire About Juniper

The next day, Grace went to the Montague Group.

She handed something to Celeste and asked her to pass it on. Celeste hesitated and said, "Why not talk to Mr. Montague? He's been thinking about you."

Grace smiled and shook her head. "We're divorced. No need."

As Grace walked away, Celeste thought, 'Grace has really moved on.'

Celeste went to the top floor and gave the item to Henry.

Henry gently touched the box and asked, "Did she leave any message?"

Celeste shook her head. "No, she didn't."

Henry sighed, "You can go now."

After Celeste left, Henry caressed the box. Post-divorce, he tried to be kind to Grace, but she rejected everything. She wanted a clean break, but he still held on.

Grace left a teardrop in his heart.

He thought if he had known he'd miss her so much, he would've chosen her over the project. But life doesn't have ifs; they were already divorced!

Henry leaned back in his chair, shielding his eyes from the glaring light.

Grace didn't dwell on the past; she worked hard and lived her life.

In half a month, it would be Oliver's court date. Grace's store was nearly renovated, and Juniper found three Michelin-starred chefs for her. After trying them out, Grace thought they were excellent.

Everything was moving in a good direction.

On Saturday night, Amara hosted a party at her home. Given her close relationship with Grace, she personally invited her to be the first to taste the cuisine. Grace attended and found the food outstanding.

Amara, looking wealthy and elegant in a new outfit, told Grace, "It's the signature dish from Serenity Epicurean Retreat in Vesper City! I invited them for the guests to try."

She patted Grace's hand and whispered, "Mr. Morgan from Serenity Epicurean Retreat will be here tonight! He's looking to expand and find a partner. I'll introduce you."

Grace knew about Serenity Epicurean Retreat. It was a publicly traded company worth over $30 billion, mainly in the food industry. Connecting with them would be great.

Grace sincerely thanked Amara. "I'll repay you later!"

Amara smiled, "I enjoy being around smart people like you. The party is starting soon; go touch up your makeup."

Grace nodded and was led to the makeup room by the Young family's servant.

In the hall, the crystal lights were luxurious and dazzling.

Amara twirled her hair, looking thoughtful. Supporting Grace was partly due to their relationship and partly for her own plans. With her children abroad and an unreliable husband, she needed a backup plan.

Grace was someone Amara had high hopes for.

At seven, the dinner party started on time.

Amara, smiling, introduced Grace to Brent Morgan from Vesper City. Skilled in socializing, she said, "Mr. Morgan, this is Ms. Grace Windsor. She's recently started a business, and her store is quite large!"

Brent, in his forties, looked elegant and had a tall, slender build.

Brent was very courteous, shaking hands with Grace and smiling. "Mrs. Young has mentioned you, Ms. Windsor. And now, seeing you in person,  I must agree - you are stunning. This trip was worth it!"

Grace graciously accepted the compliment.

Seeing they got along well, Amara smiled and excused herself to greet other guests.

Grace watched her leave. As a waiter passed by, Brent took two glasses of champagne and handed one to Grace, unable to take his eyes off her.

Grace was wearing a black dress tonight, a fitted sweater, and a velvet long skirt that reached her ankles. Her golden hair was tied up, exuding charm.

Brent couldn't help but say, "I haven't seen a woman as beautiful and charming as you in a long time!"

Grace smiled. "Mr. Morgan, you're too kind!"

Although Brent was considering expanding to Evergreen City, it wasn't something that could be done overnight. He asked Grace, "Ms. Windsor, would you be interested in developing in Vesper City? I can provide the funding."

Grace was slightly taken aback; she hadn't expected Brent to ask that.

She thought for a moment and smiled. "My family is all in Evergreen City, so I probably won't be leaving for now."

Brent felt regret. Nearing forty, his wife had passed away in an accident a few years ago, and he had been raising his daughter alone since then. He had considered remarrying but hadn't met the right person.

Tonight, Brent fell in love with Grace at first sight.

Brent asked directly, "May I ask, Ms. Windsor, are you married?"

Grace, being a mature woman, knew Brent's intentions from his repeated personal questions. Brent was indeed very charming, but she wasn't considering that now.

Grace held her champagne, remained silent for a while, and then said, "I had a marriage, but I haven't moved on from it yet."

Brent, being smart, understood the rejection. He felt regret but remained courteous.

At that moment, a voice came from across the room. "Grace!"

Grace looked over and saw Frank standing about ten feet away, looking lonely and different from before.

Brent raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Windsor, your ex-husband?"

Grace quickly said, "Just a friend!"

Brent raised his champagne and said considerately, "I'll leave you two; we'll talk later."

Grace nodded.

After Brent left, Frank walked up to her. He looked at Grace quietly for a long time, then took out an invitation from his pocket. "I knew you'd be here tonight, so I brought this over! I'm getting married on the 2nd of next month, and you're welcome to attend."

Grace took the invitation and looked at its contents, feeling a sharp pain in her heart.

After a long time, she choked up slightly, "I won't go! Congratulations in advance."

"Is it because of Henry?" Frank inquired.

"No," Grace answered.

"Then it's because of Juniper. How is she doing lately?" he asked.

After going around in circles, Frank finally asked about Juniper. Grace looked up at him and said softly, "Because of the past with you, because she was personally dealt with by Thalia, her future path is destined to be difficult! She can't hear and needs a hearing aid. Even if she's young, beautiful, and has a good figure, her chances of finding a suitable partner are slim!"

Frank said hoarsely, "I'm sorry."

Talking about those things, Grace still couldn't let go. "But she will slowly recover, and she will live well."

Frank didn't say anything more. He lit a cigarette and smoked it quietly. Then he said, "That's good! As long as she's okay."

Frank soon left, his figure disappearing into the crowd. It seemed he attended the party just to inquire about Juniper.
