Chapter 366 The more She Had Loved Him, the More She Hated Him Now

Sarah slid her sunglasses back on, flashed a small smile, and strolled towards the villa entrance.

The afternoon sun was perfect, but Zoey felt a shiver run down her spine. She watched Sarah's slim, straight figure and finally blurted out, "Do you still have any feelings for Mr. Windsor?"

Sarah paused for a moment but didn't turn around. After a brief silence, she gave Zoey a clear answer, "No!"

With that, she walked out of the villa gate.

A sleek black limo was parked at the entrance, and the tall driver had already opened the door for her.

Sarah got in and sat up straight.

The limo cruised down the road, with sunlight occasionally streaming through the windows, creating a dappled effect. It reminded her of their first date years ago. She and Oliver, sitting in the car.

She remembered how her heart raced when he held her hand that day.

In just a few years, they had grown apart. The more she had loved him, the more she hated him now.

Sarah had just returned to the apartment when the servant told her, "Mr. Windsor wants to see you in the study."

Sarah dropped her handbag and headed towards the study.

The study door was open, and the room, decorated in brown and dark green tones, had a calm and grand vibe. Oliver, in a crisp white shirt with his hair slicked back, stood out against the dark furniture with his handsome face.

He was leaning on the couch reading documents, a box of cigars on the table untouched.

Hearing Sarah's footsteps, he reached out towards the door without looking up, "How did it look over there?"

Sarah sat beside him, took off her silk lace gloves, and smiled lightly, "Very nice! The place is big enough, and the decor is just my style. But I still prefer life in Evergreen City."

Oliver took her hand and gently massaged it. After a moment, he said, "At most, half a year, and we'll move back!"

Sarah didn't say anything more. She then brought up the wedding of a wealthy man's son, her expression thoughtful, "I have a dress, but in half a month, my belly might start to show. It won't look good if it's too tight. I need to order a new one that fits well and doesn't squeeze the baby."

Talking about the baby in her belly made Oliver's heart soften. He pulled Sarah into his arms and kissed her for a long time.

He said gently, "I'll go with you then."

Sarah leaned on his shoulder and softly refused, "Olivia or Zoey can go with me. You work so hard; spend some time with Jacob. This time Jacob came over, he almost didn't recognize you."

No man could resist a woman's tenderness. Oliver was no exception. He smiled and agreed. With just the two of them in the study, he wanted to be intimate with her. He couldn't forget how she lay in his arms last night.

Sarah softly complained of being tired, but she let him touch her belly. Her eyes were particularly bright, and she imitated a baby, calling him daddy and pestering him to name the baby.

Oliver was completely captivated. He lightly nibbled on Sarah's cute nose, "I've already thought of it! Let's name her Diana Windsor."

Today, Sarah was particularly clingy, wrapping her slender arms around his neck, whispering sweet nothings but not letting him go any further.

Oliver enjoyed it, but he could barely hold back.

A week later, they moved into the villa.

Oliver was all about investing locally, so his business was booming, and he was hardly ever home during the day.

The afternoon sun was just right. Sarah woke up from a nap. The kids were still asleep, so she casually flipped through a magazine in the living room. A knock at the door interrupted her. The servant said, "Mrs. Windsor, Zoey brought someone over and wants to see you."

Sarah's fingers tightened around the magazine.

She put it down and called out, "Tell them I'll meet them in the garden."

In the garden, a driver named Ray Wright was sitting nervously. He was from Ellie's side.

Zoey had told Ray that today he would meet Oliver's wife. As long as he did what Sarah asked, he'd get a big payday. His kids were studying abroad, and he needed the cash.

About ten minutes later, Sarah walked in.

As soon as she entered, the servant brought a bowl of stew with a smile, "I was afraid it wouldn't be soft enough, so I stewed it for two more minutes. Mrs. Windsor, please have some."

Sarah took small sips and finished it, then handed the bowl back to the servant.

Ray had been watching and noticed that this place was even more luxurious than Ellie's. Sarah was also younger and more beautiful than Ellie! He couldn't help but trust Sarah more and nervously said, "Mrs. Windsor, if you have something for me to do, just tell me."

Sarah lightly placed a newspaper on the table.

Ray was terrified.

At that moment, a thick stack of money was placed on top of the newspaper.

Sarah said nonchalantly, "Put this newspaper on Ms. Johnson's dining table. On the day of the wedding, drive her along the designated route, and this money will be yours!"

Ray was sweating bullets and stammered, "Mrs. Windsor, what are you planning to do?"

Sarah smiled faintly, "You don't need to know!"

Ray needed the money, so despite his fear, he agreed.

At dinner, Ellie saw the newspaper. She stared at the news. Anger welled up inside her, and she grabbed the newspaper, tearing it in half.

Why could Sarah be with Oliver openly, and she couldn't? Just because of that marriage certificate? But she was the one who had been with Oliver through the hard times, the woman who had struggled with him to build his business.

Why did she have to live on the edge? She couldn't even see him because he refused to see her.

Just because that bitch Sarah was carrying his child and was more noble than her? She couldn't accept it. She wanted to walk up to him and tell the world that she was Oliver's true love.

Ellie called Oliver, but he didn't answer.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and she sneered, "It's because of Sarah again. What's so great about her? She can have children, so what? When technology advances, I can have children too! Oliver, I can give you children too!"

Feeling upset, she opened a bottle of strong liquor and drank it down, glass after glass. The alcohol burned her throat and caused a searing pain in her stomach.

Unable to bear the pain, Ellie couldn't help but call Oliver again.

The phone connected, but all Ellie could hear were sounds of lovemaking. Oliver was teasing Sarah in a husky voice. Sarah moaned in response, her voice incredibly seductive. Later, Oliver's breathing got heavier and more intense, and at the peak, he let out a deep, guttural roar. That was when Ellie realized that a man deeply in love could cry out like that.

In the dead of night, Ellie's phone slipped from her hand, and tears streamed down her face.
