Chapter 195 Juniper Was Getting Married and He Couldn't Take It

Grace leaned in, dropping her voice. "Brent's a solid catch."

Juniper was about to chime in when she spotted a couple at the café entrance. It was Frank and Thalia. She knew them both.

Thalia's belly was flat, but she was holding her lower abdomen and supporting her waist, clearly trying to look pregnant.

'Are they having a kid?' Juniper's eyes started to tear up.

How could she forget the child she once carried after all these years? How could she forget losing that child so tragically, especially now that Frank and Thalia have a kid! Juniper couldn't just brush it off.

Grace noticed Frank and Thalia too. She gently squeezed Juniper's hand, silently comforting her.

Thalia strutted in, and it seemed Frank had been treating her well lately; her old habits were back in full swing.

Thalia shot a look at Juniper, still bitter that Frank had Juniper in his heart, and sneered, "What a coincidence, Ms. Davis, we meet again!"

Juniper glared at Thalia, wishing she could tear her apart.

Grace stayed cool. She looked at Thalia and smirked, "Fancy seeing you here! Looks like Mrs. Cavendish has been doing well."

Thalia's face tightened. Things had been rough with Frank lately, and she didn't expect Grace to mock her, but she didn't want to mess with Grace. After all, Grace was now Henry's favorite. All she wanted was to make Juniper squirm.

Thalia gently stroked her lower abdomen. "This child is just a blessing."

She looked at Juniper. "When the baby arrives, I'll definitely send an invite to Ms. Davis to celebrate. It's not every day you get to share such joy!"

"Enough!" Frank cut in. "Thalia, don't push it!"

Thalia was annoyed, but seeing Frank wasn't too mad, she felt smug again. She thought the baby had finally brought Frank back to her, and with time, he'd forget about that witch Juniper.

Just then, Brent showed up and caught part of the convo. He knew enough about Juniper and Frank's history.

He placed his hand on Juniper's shoulder and looked at Thalia. "If Mrs. Cavendish sends an invite, Juniper and I will definitely be there to share in Mrs. Cavendish's joy."

Thalia glanced at Brent's hand, wondering, 'Is Juniper getting close to Brent? Could there be something between them?' She cursed Juniper in her head.

Brent guessed her thoughts and said seriously, "Juniper is my fiancée! We're getting married at the end of the year, and I'll send invites to Mr. and Mrs. Cavendish. We hope you'll come!"

After Brent finished, he looked at Juniper tenderly.

Under his comfort, all of Juniper's anger melted away, leaving only peace. So this is what it feels like to be loved and protected.

Brent not only cherished her, but he also had the power to protect her.

Juniper felt like crying. She called his name emotionally, "Brent!"

In front of everyone, Brent leaned in and kissed her on the lips, comforting her like a child, "Your eyes are red, like a rabbit. Does getting married make you this happy?"

Juniper's voice trembled. "Yes, I'm very happy!"

Juniper had been with Frank for years, hoping he'd marry her. But in the end, all she got from Frank was pain. Today, she finally got everything she longed for from Brent.

Even though she wasn't perfect, even though she was so flawed, Brent was willing to love her!

Juniper gently hugged Brent. She knew in her heart that being with him wasn't just because he was wealthy and handsome, but because he had something that moved her. Their love might not be a wild storm, but it was like a gentle stream, enough to carry them through life together.

Frank watched with a blank stare, his heart aching like hell.

He'd given up on Juniper a long time ago. He barely fought for her because he knew he couldn't win, couldn't give her the future she deserved. He always knew she'd end up with someone else, but now that it was happening, it still stung.

Frank turned and walked away. Thalia was stunned for a second before chasing after him. "Frank!"

She found him in the fire escape.

Frank stood at the end of the corridor, smoking. When Thalia reached him, she saw his eyes were bloodshot.

Thalia was shaking with anger. "She's getting married, and you're sad, aren't you? Frank, you've been apart for years, why are you still hung up on her? You've slept with so many women, why is she the only one you think about? What kind of spell does she have on you? Is she that good in bed?"

A slap landed on her face!

Thalia looked at Frank in disbelief. After a long pause, she nearly broke down. "You hit me for her? Frank, I'm pregnant!"

"The kid in your belly ain't mine!" Frank's voice was ice cold.

Thalia was stunned. She murmured, "Are you crazy? Frank, what are you saying?"

Frank lowered his eyes, looking at the cigarette between his long fingers, and smiled indifferently. "I had a vasectomy three years ago! So, Mrs. Cavendish, you can't be pregnant with my child. I was gonna wait until you gave birth, but now there's no need. It's not a Cavendish family child. You decide whether to keep it or not."

Frank was ruthless, leaving no room for negotiation.

Thalia's whole body trembled, her face full of tears. "Frank, how could you be so cruel? So heartless! You knew the child wasn't yours, yet you let me believe it all this time, waiting for the day I gave birth, didn't you?"

Frank took a deep drag on his cigarette.

He looked handsome and charming, but his words were calm and cruel. "I want to see you suffer the pain of losing the child now. It will be a torment worse than death."

After saying that, he brushed past her and left.

Thalia stood frozen. She had thought a child could tie him down, that he would be a loving husband. But it was all his revenge for what she did to Juniper back then.

Now that Juniper was getting married, he couldn't take it!

Thalia laughed, mocking herself and Frank. They were both pitiful people abandoned by others.

Thalia was a tough person. She had an abortion that very day. When she returned to the Cavendish Mansion that night, her belly was empty, and Frank didn't come home all night. She knew he was heartbroken over Juniper.

Back at the café, Brent held Juniper and apologized to Grace, "I'll take her home first! Grace, let's catch up another day."

With Brent by her side, Grace felt reassured. She smiled softly and replied, "I'll trust her with you then!"

Brent and Juniper hurriedly left.

Grace watched them go, feeling both emotional and happy for Juniper, grateful that she had met Brent.

She sat down, finished a glass of water, and decided to buy some children's clothes for Taylor.

But when she passed a men's clothing store, she stopped and decided to pick out a couple of shirts and matching ties for Henry.

She knew very well that her relationship with Henry was getting increasingly intimate, which wasn't what she wanted.

They lived like an ordinary couple, sharing their bodies, supposedly for Taylor's sake, It was only natural that feelings would eventually blossom between them over time.

However, she believed that eventually, those feelings would fade. She would move on, and so would Henry.

Grace felt complicated. When she got into the car, she didn't start it immediately but sat quietly for a while.

Then there was a tap at the car window.

She snapped back to reality and turned to see a familiar face. It was Neil.
