Chapter 344 Oliver, Go to Hell

Sarah kept asking, "What's real?"

Oliver stayed silent.

Without an answer, Sarah, teetering on the edge of a breakdown, suddenly found the strength to sit up. She couldn't see him, but she knew he was there. She grabbed stuff from the nightstand and chucked it into the air, aiming at Oliver.

Right then, she wished he would just die.

For years, he'd lied to her and put her through hell. Even in her darkest moments, she only wanted relief; she never thought about wanting him dead. But now, she was losing it and wanted him gone for good.

Sarah thought it, and she said it too.

She screamed, "Oliver, go to hell."

A streak of crimson blood trickled down Oliver's forehead, caused by something Sarah had thrown.

Oliver raised his hand and gently wiped it away. He stared at Sarah's small face and softly said, "Do you really want me dead? I'm your husband, the one willing to give you my liver! Sarah, do you really hate me that much?"

"Yes!" Sarah said firmly.

Oliver's Adam's apple bobbed. After a moment, he tilted his head back slightly and said, "Do you think I care? Sarah, I don't give a damn. Someone like me doesn't care what a woman thinks."

He squatted down and started picking up the shattered porcelain pieces.

Oliver picked them up one by one, his hands full of fragments that couldn't be put back together, just like his relationship with Sarah, which was messed up from the start.

But even if it was wrong, he didn't want to let go.

Oliver's tone was cold, "You can hate me all you want, but if you don't want Dylan to go to jail, you'd better cooperate with the treatment. After the surgery, I'll give you the documents back."

In reality, Sarah had burned those documents. She burned the real ones.

Sarah always said their marriage was built on lies, so he would deceive her one more time.

Whether she loved him or not didn't matter anymore. He just wanted her to live.

He wanted her to survive, stay by his side, and grow old with him.

Oliver was like that; promises were corny and laughable to him. What mattered was what he could hold in his hands.

Sarah finally realized she couldn't win against Oliver. Staying by his side, she didn't even have the right to die.

Early in the morning, Alyssa woke up slowly.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the handsome and dignified man sitting on the opposite couch. He was impeccably dressed, casually playing with Nicole.

Nicole wasn't scared in his arms. Her soft, pretty face occasionally showed a smile, and her rosy little mouth curved into a grin.

Alyssa was startled. She spoke with a tense voice, "Mr. Windsor, why are you here? Please leave quickly. I'm afraid Lester will come back and see you and get suspicious."

"Lester," Oliver repeated the name with a light laugh.

He lifted the necklace around Nicole's neck and said casually, "Don't worry! I had the doctor send him away. He won't be back for at least half an hour."

Alyssa stayed tense.

Even though her marriage to Lester was arranged by Oliver, she hadn't interacted much with him. But in their few encounters, she could sense his deep scheming and his hostility towards Lester. So she feared his presence, afraid he would harm Lester.

Oliver toyed with the necklace.

He asked indifferently, "Your child's name is Nicole?"

Alyssa nodded, then pleaded, "Mr. Windsor, we agreed that after I married Lester, our deal would be over, and we wouldn't see each other again."

Oliver looked up at her. Alyssa trembled all over.

Oliver's expression was cold. He looked at Alyssa and said in a chilly tone, "I also told you to keep your husband in check and not let him wander around."

Alyssa suddenly understood something.

She stared at the necklace, guessing who had given it. She was terrified. Ignoring her postpartum condition, she got out of bed to kneel before Oliver because she knew how ruthless this man could be.

She begged Oliver to spare Lester, "Lester wouldn't dare! Even if they met, it would just be old friends reuniting. Lester would never have such thoughts. Mr. Windsor, Lester and I love each other very much, and we have a lovely child. Don't you think so? I beg you, don't harm Lester."

Oliver was heartless, showing no expression. After Alyssa had kowtowed about ten times, he sneered, "Do you love him so much?"

Alyssa stopped and said with a trembling voice, "Yes! I love him! Lester is a good man."

Oliver was silent for a moment. He handed the child back to Alyssa, stood up, brushed off his pants lightly, and said nonchalantly, "The child is quite cute."

After he left, Lester returned.

Alyssa, holding Nicole, tearfully said to Lester, "Lester, I'm so scared. Can we leave the hospital?"

Lester gazed at her, slowly closed the door, and asked softly, "Didn't you just give birth? The doctor said you need to stay here for eight days for the incision to fully heal."

Alyssa was still anxious. She tearfully pleaded with Lester to take her home. "Lester, I'm fine! Let's go home today! My mom said the air in the countryside is good. Let's find a house there and live for a few years. When Nicole starts school, we can come back to the city. Lester, I've never asked you for anything. Please, can you agree to this?"
