Chapter 79 He Interrogated Her Like a Jealous Husband

Henry flew to Harmony City and got to the Sunrise Hotel at nine at night.

The neon lights were dazzling. Harmony City's night was calm and magical.

Henry stepped out of the black limo and saw Grace and Lucas walking together.

On this chilly early winter evening, Grace wore a fancy camel cashmere coat, her golden hair framing her face elegantly. Her face was serene, and her expression even carried a hint of joy, especially when she spoke to Lucas, her gaze focused. She looked happy talking to Lucas, but her glance at Henry was icy.

Henry, looking composed, stood in the hotel courtyard and checked his watch.

He saw the photo at six, and now it was nine, meaning Grace had been with Lucas for three hours, acting like a couple.

As Henry walked over, Grace's smile faded when she saw him.

Henry greeted Lucas with a light tone. "Lucas, what a coincidence! Sometimes chance meetings are better than planned ones."

Lucas hesitated, then shook Henry's hand with a slight smile. "We'll see if it's really a coincidence."

Both men had their own thoughts.

Henry looked at Grace, his voice soft like a caring partner. "I haven't eaten yet! Want to join me for dinner?"

Without waiting for her answer, he grabbed her wrist and told Lucas, "Let's catch up tomorrow, Lucas. It's late!"

Lucas, sensing Henry's intentions, stayed neutral. As Henry led Grace away, Lucas called out seriously, "If you care for her, don't make her cry."

Henry looked at Grace, her cheeks rosy from the cold, making her even more attractive. Without a word, he put his arm around her shoulder, a silent gesture of warmth.

Feeling jealous, he held her a bit too tightly. Grace mocked lightly, "Henry, don't act like you're catching me cheating! Lucas and I just ran into each other."

"Even by chance, it seems like quite a fate," Henry replied.

As soon as they entered the suite, Henry pressed Grace against the door. He took off her coat, revealing a black dress that clung to her skin, making her look stunning.

Grace, tired from the day, didn't want to deal with his sarcasm. Leaning against the door, she softened her voice. "Weren't you hungry? I'll order food."

Henry still held her down. Under the crystal light, his handsome face was far from pleasant. He leaned in close and asked softly, "Grace, do you like him even a little?"

The tension was thick. A jealous husband asking this showed he cared, but Grace's silence said otherwise. Unable to bear it, Henry kissed her gently.

He tasted the flavor of red wine in her mouth. Looking up, his eyes locked on hers. "Did you drink with him?"

Grace took his phone, unlocked it with his fingerprint, and found a photo of her and Lucas at the restaurant.

She sneered, "Still following me? You're such a jerk." She lightly slapped him, not hard, with unclear meaning.

Henry didn't deny it. He clasped her hand, intertwining their fingers. When Grace moved, he pressed her back, their eyes locked. He kissed her again, tasting the red wine. It was unclear who lost their heart.

After a long time, he finally stopped, whispering against her lips, "Don't like him."

Grace pushed him away, her tone icy. "I'll order food for you! What's with this childish talk about likes and dislikes?"

But Henry didn't back down. He pulled her close again, their lips meeting in a heated kiss. After years of marriage, Grace saw a wild side of Henry she hadn't seen before. When he finally let go, her legs were shaky from the intensity. She felt ashamed thinking about what had just happened.

Henry was a bastard! His refined exterior was just a facade; deep down, he was no different from those lecherous men, maybe even wilder.

Grace wasn't moved. She had loved Henry deeply, admired his dignity, wealth, and occasional tenderness. These were irresistible to a young girl in love.

But three years of hurt had cooled her heart. She didn't believe Henry loved her.

If he truly loved her, he wouldn't have acted like that at the door. His so-called affection seemed to revolve around physical gratification, finding satisfaction in her presence. It all boiled down to possessiveness!

When he had his fill, he would inevitably pull away. In that moment, she would be able to safeguard her heart despite everything.

Henry was actually quite busy. He had a project that needed his personal attention.

Meanwhile, Grace was causing trouble. Despite chasing her to Harmony City, Henry couldn't abandon his tasks at the office. He had an evening meeting with the company's top brass that ended at one in the morning.

Grace had gone to bed. Henry, exhausted, put on a bathrobe, took a shower, and joined her. He instinctively held her hand, noticing she was awake but pretending otherwise. Too tired for more intimacy, he thought back to their earlier moment, appreciating Grace's surrender of control.

The night grew deeper. Henry held her tighter, whispering in her ear, "Mrs. Montague, good night."

He closed his eyes, ready to sleep. Much later, in a daze, he seemed to hear Grace's voice, saying something like, "Too late!"

As morning light filtered into the room, Henry woke up. His eyes met Grace's, who was casually propped against the headboard, her gaze soft and calm. A surge of warmth enveloped Henry, compelling him to draw her in for a tender kiss. He was somewhat of a germaphobe, but he never minded Grace, which led to what happened last night.

Grace turned her face slightly, speaking softly, "Henry, you don't need to keep following me! After the New Year, I'll be touring worldwide. Are you going to follow me everywhere? It's pointless! Besides, I have my limits."

These words stung. Henry felt disappointed. He said nothing, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom to wash up and change.

Just as Grace prepared to get up, her phone rang. It was a real estate agency from Evergreen City. She had asked them to find out about the new owner of 'Tranquil Heights'.

The person said, "Ms. Windsor, I found out that the buyer is a wealthy man from our city, who bought it for a young girl. Tranquil Heights opened this morning. I'll find out more and get back to you soon."

Feeling a rush of happiness, Grace thanked the real estate agent before ending the call. When she looked up, she found Henry's gaze fixed on her.
