Chapter 261 Like A Husband Catching His Wife Cheating

It was a chill weekend, early summer vibes all around.

Grace, thanks to Amara's invite, headed to a restaurant to meet some guy for dinner.

She walked up to the table and froze. She never thought the guy Amara was setting her up with would be Landon, the big-shot business partner she was trying to win over. And, to make things even crazier, Landon was Cynthia's brother.

Feeling a bit uneasy, Grace walked over and apologized to Landon, "I'm sorry, Mr. Wright, I didn't expect it to be you! Let me cover this meal as a gesture of apology."

But Landon was super polite.

He stood up, pulled out a chair for Grace, and said in a cheerful voice, "Ms. Windsor, you're too kind! Actually, I asked Mrs. Young to help with the introduction. Even though we know each other, the times we've met have been too formal to discuss personal stuff."

Grace got the hint—he was interested in her.

After sitting down, she took a small sip of the pre-dinner wine and, after some thought, decided to be upfront with Landon. "Mr. Wright, even if I might lose that business deal, I have to say, there's no possibility between us."

Landon asked seriously, "Is it because of Henry?"

Landon had done his homework; they weren't together. Plus, his pursuit of Grace was well thought out. He wasn't a young guy; he had taken his time to decide he wanted someone like her.

Grace was beautiful and very charming, and he liked her a lot.

Grace shook her head. "That's just part of the reason. Mr. Wright, please believe I have my own reasons."

Landon stared at her for a long time, making sure she wasn't joking or playing hard to get. He felt regretful but kept his cool. "In that case, Ms. Windsor, please do me the honor of having dinner with me. We can discuss the details of our collaboration."

Grace didn't play coy; she liked dealing with smart people. Once things were clear, they were just business partners.

The dinner turned out to be quite pleasant.

Grace didn't know that the manager of this restaurant was Sierra. After leaving the Montague Group, she had bounced around several companies and didn't do well, eventually becoming the duty manager here.

Sierra didn't expect to see Grace, let alone see her on a date with a man. She took photos of their pleasant conversation and Landon's affectionate looks, and eventually found a way to send them to Henry.

When it was time to leave, Grace intended to drive herself.

Landon stopped her, saying, "Grace, you've had some wine. Let my driver take you."

Grace felt it was inappropriate and declined.

Landon genuinely liked and respected her. He took a step back and said, "I'm going to take a walk to sober up."

Grace still felt uneasy, but Landon was insistent. He said gracefully, "Consider this my last act of courtesy. Next time we meet, let's forget about this and focus on business... with a bit of personal friendship."

Grace thought he was a good person, and in business, it was inappropriate to reject others' kindness too harshly. So she thanked Landon and got into the car.

But before the car could start, a hand opened the door, followed by Henry's cold voice, "Get out."

Grace was stunned and looked outside.

In the night, Henry's expression was not pleasant; he looked very much like a husband catching his wife cheating.

At this moment, Grace was in a dilemma. Getting out would embarrass Landon, but staying would directly embarrass Henry. After weighing her options, she decided not to challenge Henry's limits.

Grace got out of the car and said goodbye to Landon.

Landon was sensible and didn't say much or try to keep her. He didn't want to make things difficult for Grace. He even explained to Henry, "Ms. Windsor didn't say yes to me, Mr. Montague, so please don't get the wrong idea."

Henry, with a cold face, gave a reserved nod. Then he took Grace and got into his black Bentley.

Once in the car, Grace stayed silent, clearly pissed off.

Henry, gripping the steering wheel, spoke in a low, hoarse voice, but with a hint of suppressed emotion and even a touch of gentleness, "Was that a blind date?"

Henry was stating a fact.

Tonight, Grace was indeed on a blind date, but she didn't expect to meet someone she knew, and the date turned out to be Landon.

Of course, she didn't want to show weakness in front of Henry.

Grace leaned against the car window, her voice tinged with coldness, "So what if I was? Henry, we have no relationship; you have no right to control me!"

He didn't speak, just quietly watched her.

After a long time, Grace wanted to get out of the car, but a faint sound indicated Henry had locked the car doors.

She looked over at him. His profile was still inscrutable, staring at her, saying, "Didn't we agree last time that if we had sexual needs, we could call each other? Did you forget?"

Grace was both embarrassed and angry. Even though they had been married and had countless intimate moments, she still couldn't accept him saying it so bluntly.

She bit her lip and said defiantly, "I don't want it tonight!"

Henry leaned in closer, so close he could smell the faint scent of wine on her. He stared at her for a long time and asked slowly, "Is it that you don't want to, or you don't want to with me?"

Grace turned her face away, pretending to be indifferent. "Neither!"

"But I do!" Henry finished speaking, then sat up straight, stepped on the gas, and drove out of the parking lot.

His legs were agile, not like a man who had been disabled for two years.

Probably guessing Grace's thoughts, Henry looked at the road ahead and said expressionlessly, "It's the power of love."

Grace felt that Henry was different from before. In the past, he never said such shameless words.

She thought Henry would take her to a hotel, given that he was angry and clearly wanted to have sex. But she didn't expect Henry to drive back to the villa, the house where they had lived as a married couple.

The black Bentley drove through the gate.

When the car stopped, Grace was quite resistant. She turned and said, "Henry, I don't want to stay here."

Henry looked at her, his blue eyes flickering with desire.

After a while, he said in a low, gentle voice, "Hotels are fun, but staying too often isn't hygienic."

Grace thought, 'You're quite considerate.'

Henry opened the car door, then walked around to her side and gently pulled her out. Probably because the ground was slippery from rain and she was wearing high heels, she didn't stand steady and fell straight into his arms.

His coat was cool, but his neck was burning hot.

Grace tried to stand up straight.

Henry's hand lightly held her waist. He looked down at her and asked softly, "Did you dress up so nicely to meet someone else?"

Tonight she wore a black dress with gold chain straps, her hair cascading down her back, sexy and attractive.

Henry rarely saw her dressed like this. He was jealous and even wanted to punch Landon right now.

Grace couldn't be bothered with him. She gently pushed him away and said, "I'm single now. What's wrong with dressing like this?"

Henry didn't answer. He directly picked her up, carried her through the entrance, and walked straight to the second floor.

The housemaids, seeing this, pretended not to notice. After all, they had been through it all. Knowing the young couple was in love, they all disappeared, leaving the whole house to the two of them.
