Chapter 45: She Finally Became Mrs. Montague Again
Henry looked down at Grace from his higher spot, noticing her nostrils flaring slightly as she gave in to the waves of pleasure.
If he did it right, she'd wrap her arms around his shoulders, breathing softly against his neck. Only in these moments did her usually cold face come alive. It was like the old Grace was back! He leaned in to kiss her, feeling a rush of excitement.
It had been a while since Henry had been intimate, and after three intense rounds, he finally felt relief. The air was thick with sweat as they quietly embraced, letting the passion simmer down. Grace shifted slightly, sitting up as she gathered her thoughts.
Henry tightened his grip on her waist, his voice raspy. "What's wrong?"
"I'm going to take my pill."
Grace ran her fingers through her long hair and said calmly, "You didn't use a condom earlier, so I need to take my pill."
Henry was a bit surprised. They had agreed not to have kids, but hearing her say it so casually made him a bit unhappy.
He sat up, too. "It's not like you'll get pregnant from just one time."
Grace put on her robe. After taking her pill with some water, she said softly, "It's better to be safe! Besides, didn't you say you wanted to have fun for a few more years? Getting pregnant now would be a hassle."
Henry leaned back against the headboard, watching Grace. She had changed so much. She was calm and composed, almost regal.
He couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark, "Since you've taken the pill, why not go for another round? Just to be safe."
Henry thought Grace would refuse. However, she gently put down the glass, walked to his side of the bed, and softly placed her hand on his thigh, leaning in to kiss him. She even took the initiative to touch him.
Desire flared in Henry's eyes. The next second, Grace was beneath him, the blanket pulled away. Her blonde hair spread across her back, her posture compromising.
She looked just like she did last time at the Celestial Waters Hotel, in an awkward position. At first, Grace struggled a bit, but soon she stopped resisting, lying softly on the bed, letting Henry have his way.
This time, Henry truly enjoyed himself. He always preferred it a bit rough.
That night, maybe because it had been so long since they shared a bed, neither of them slept well.
Henry had a dream. He dreamt that Grace divorced him and married Lucas. When he woke up and reached out, the space beside him was empty.
"Grace!" Henry called out.
He heard a faint noise from the walk-in closet and walked straight in.
In the walk-in closet, the light was warm yellow.
Grace was preparing his work clothes, including a crisp white shirt, a neatly pressed suit, and all the accessories laid out for Henry to wear.
Henry watched Grace as she picked out his watch. She was wearing a light pink silk robe tied at the waist, showing off her slender figure. Her long hair was in a loose bun, revealing a bit of soft skin on her neck.
Hearing footsteps, Grace knew it was Henry and asked softly, "How about this Audemars Piguet?"
Without a word, Henry wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his cheek against hers. They looked like newlyweds deeply in love. Grace melted into his embrace, enjoying the warmth.
Henry kissed the soft spot behind her ear, his voice warm and hoarse, murmuring, "Mrs. Montague, I love it when you pick out my clothes."
At dawn, Henry was full of energy. Grace's gentle touch stirred his desire for more intimacy.
Grace, still sore from the night before, gently refused, "I have things to do today. I can't keep you company."
Henry didn't let go right away. He pressed her against the closet door, his hand slipping into her robe, teasing her. "What could be more important than me?"
Grace knew his tricks. She tilted her head, enduring his teasing, occasionally letting out a soft moan.
After a while, her eyes were misty, and her voice was too. "Henry, I told you not to try to control me! Where I go and what I do is my business."
Henry let go and snorted lightly, "Seems like Mrs. Montague has big plans!"
As he got dressed, his impressive physique was on display. Tall and slender, with well-defined muscles, his build was athletic, not overly bulky.
He stripped down to his black underwear, making Grace turn her face slightly. A faint blush added a touch of charm.
Henry loved seeing her like this. He gently touched her face, chuckling, "Last night, you seemed to enjoy it quite a bit!"
Maybe it was because he had enjoyed himself, or maybe it was because of Grace's compliance, but Henry was in a great mood. Celeste noticed it clearly.
At the office door, Celeste hesitated for a moment and said, "Mr. Montague, Mrs. Aurora Montague came in early this morning! She's been waiting for you for a while!"
Henry's good mood vanished instantly. With a resigned air, he pushed the door open and saw his mother, Aurora, comfortably seated on the sofa, sipping her coffee.
Henry gripped the door handle, smiling faintly. "Mom, what brings you to the office? Did you have another fight with Seraphina?"
Compared to Henry's relaxed demeanor, Aurora was clearly more tense. She glanced at Celeste, signaling her to leave.
When Celeste hesitated, Henry turned his head. "Leave us!"
Once they were alone, Aurora began questioning Henry, "I know you and Grace have been having issues lately. I understand you want her back; after all, the Montague family needs a daughter-in-law. But what I don't understand is why you gave her 2% of the Montague Group's shares?"
Henry sat down, smiling faintly. "Your information is really up-to-date!"
Aurora spoke sternly, "No woman in the Montague family has ever owned shares in the Montague Group! Henry, it's fine to be good to your wife, but don't spoil her too much!"
Henry replied nonchalantly, "It's okay to pamper my wife a little."
Aurora fixed her gaze on Henry, her eyes piercing. After a pause, she let out a chilly laugh, "Henry, don't think you can fool me. This sudden attention to Grace—it's all because of Lucas, isn't it? You discovered their secret talks, and now you fear that once you divorce Grace, she might run straight into Lucas's arms! The mere thought must be unbearable for you, isn't it?"
"So you want to keep her no matter the cost. Henry, have you lost your mind?" Aurora asked.
In the spacious office, it was just the two of them—mother and son—shedding the mask of civility. Aurora's usual grace faded, leaving her looking like an ordinary woman.
Henry had seen it all before. He quietly watched Aurora, also laughing coldly, "Isn't it you who taught me to achieve my goals by any means necessary?"
Aurora stormed out in anger, leaving Henry standing alone by the floor-to-ceiling window, his gaze fixed on the sprawling Evergreen City before him.
Henry's mood darkened as he brooded over the person responsible for his turmoil. A scowl was etched on his face, and Aurora's piercing revelation laid bare his heart's deepest shadows.
All day, everyone at the Montague Group was on edge, afraid of provoking Henry.
At five in the afternoon, Henry decided to leave work early.
