Chapter 259 Are You Stalking Me?

Henry watched her quietly, his dark eyes hinting at danger. Grace figured if she said one more word, he'd probably have to start all over again.

Henry's face stayed blank as he punished her a few times.

Grace clung to his neck, not wanting him to see her so vulnerable. After a long silence, Henry whispered in her ear, "I want to go again."

He wasn't a total beast, though he used to be.

Back then, he'd satisfy his own needs first without a second thought. But now, he really loved Grace and was genuinely trying to win her over. Relationships needed mutual consent.

Half-hearted compliance wasn't the same as coercion.

Even though Henry let her go, he still stroked her for a while. When there was a knock on the door, he finally released her, his suit pants noticeably tight.

Henry gave her a flirty look.

He walked over, opened the door, and pushed the food cart inside. Grace smelled the food. She didn't bother to wash up or change, but her stockings were shredded and unwearable.

Henry looked a bit embarrassed. "I'll have someone send over a new pair later."

Grace didn't object. She hadn't eaten much since last night and was feeling pretty hungry now.

During the meal, she stayed silent.

Henry, on the other hand, was attentive and gentle. Even though Grace didn't respond, he remained patient. Grace couldn't help but think that men really changed when they were trying to win a woman over.

Half an hour later, she put down her knife and fork, feeling full.

Henry looked up at her and said softly, "I'll take you home later."

Grace shook her head. "Take me to Juniper's apartment. I'm worried and want to check on her."

Henry smiled warmly. He didn't say anything and, after finishing the meal, took her downstairs to check out. Grace sat on the couch waiting for him and took the opportunity to send a message to Juniper.

With the check-out completed swiftly, Henry led her to the nearby parking lot to retrieve their car.

Once in the car, Henry gently said, "Buckle up. I'll take you there, and I have a meeting this afternoon. How about I pick you up tonight?"

Grace didn't want to be too clingy with him and turned her face away, saying, "I'll just take a cab back."

Henry's gaze deepened. "Using me and then acting like it never happened?"

Grace couldn't be bothered to respond.

The black Bentley rolled out of the parking lot, window halfway down. In the car next to them, Felix sat stone-faced, watching Henry and Grace drive off.

They'd been at it all night, and Felix had been outside the hotel the whole time.

When they came out, Grace looked cold, but between a man and a woman, once a woman had slept with a guy, if her body accepted it, her heart usually followed. It was just about a woman's pride!

In Grace's world, the only one coming and going was Henry.

"Why can't you like me?" Felix muttered, a cigarette dangling from his long fingers, resting it outside the car window. He tilted his head back slightly, trying to keep his composure, to stop his eyes from welling up, to hide his vulnerability.

He didn't want to admit it, but he liked Grace so much he barely recognized himself anymore.

But from start to finish, Grace was Henry's wife, and he was just a pathetic outsider.

The phone in the glove compartment started ringing.

Felix ignored it.

But the caller was persistent, and the phone kept ringing. Finally, he leaned over and picked it up. It was his fiancée calling.

A gentle voice came from the other end, "Felix, I want to make some alterations to the wedding dress tomorrow. Will you come with me?"

Felix leaned back in his seat, his face blank. He knew the woman liked him, but it was just a marriage of convenience. Why took it seriously?

But he gave her enough respect.

In a hoarse voice, he said, "Sure. Send the time to my secretary. I'll go with you tomorrow."

The woman was in a great mood and eagerly talked about some wedding details. Felix listened quietly and patiently, but his mind was elsewhere.

'It is just a marriage of convenience,' Felix muttered to himself.

Henry parked the car in front of Juniper's apartment building.

When Grace opened the car door, he turned to look at her, his hand gently stroking the steering wheel, creating an indescribably pleasing picture.

He asked her, "Are you really not coming out tonight?"

Grace's response was to slam the car door shut.

Henry found it amusing.

When a man pursued a woman, sometimes it was about the sense of achievement. If she went home with him too easily, it took away a lot of the excitement. Henry was just a regular guy; he never hid the fact that he had some not-so-innocent thoughts about sex.

Grace went straight upstairs.

Juniper's apartment was in a prime location, very spacious, with a total of 2,600 square feet. It was just Juniper and Brent's daughter, Julia, living there.

The nanny was a part-timer and didn't live there.

When Juniper opened the door, Grace noticed her eyes were a bit swollen.

She looked at Juniper for a moment, and Juniper knew she understood.

"Yeah, I saw Frank last night," Juniper candidly said.

She stepped aside to let Grace in and made two cups of coffee. They sat silently at the small bar for a long time before Juniper continued, "Nothing happened."

Grace gently touched her eye and asked softly, "Then why did you cry?"

Juniper felt a bit embarrassed. She lowered her head and drank the coffee she didn't really like. After drinking half of it, she said, "Grace, I didn't like this before. But now I drink it because Brent loved it. This is Brent's favorite. Every time he had some free time, he would make a cup of coffee at home. He said it was his hobby, but I knew he liked to have a drink with friends."

She paused for a moment and then continued, "However, after we got married, he rarely went out for social events. He was considerate and always stayed with me. Now I also like to make a cup of coffee. This flavor makes me miss Brent!"

"Grace, you know, when you have someone in your heart, there's no room for anyone else. Yes, I once thought Frank was the most significant part of my life, but now I feel that companionship is the most meaningful. Brent used to accompany me, and now I accompany him and Julia as she grows up," Juniper said, her eyes brimming with tears.

Grace was also moved. She didn't mention Frank again, even though she knew that in Juniper's heart, there was still a place for Frank, whether it was love or hate.

Grace then asked about Julia, and Juniper smiled softly. "She's as wonderful as Brent! In a couple of years, I plan to send her abroad for studies. When she comes back, she'll have to take over the family business. But until she's 30, I'll still manage it for her. Grace, you know, most men nowadays are unreliable," Juniper spoke with a gentle calmness.

Grace watched her in silence, feeling that Juniper had transformed into a strong woman like Amara. She felt happy for her.

Speaking of Amara, Juniper even suggested they hang out together next time.

Grace knew this was because Amara had a good relationship with Brent, and Juniper wanted to connect more. She wanted to hear others talk about Brent; she didn't want Brent to disappear without a trace in this world.

Leaving Juniper's apartment, Grace felt a bit sad. She regretted Brent's passing and hated the unfairness of fate, but she couldn't change reality.

In the evening, Grace headed to the Serene Petal Dining company building. She had some work piled up that needed her attention. After a while, she checked the time and realized it was already 7 PM.

Outside the window, the city's neon lights were flickering on.

Grace packed up and was about to leave when the desk phone rang. Without thinking much, she picked it up and answered gently, "Hello! This is Grace."

On the other end, she heard a familiar voice—it was Henry.

As night fell, Henry's voice sounded especially gentle in the darkness, "Still busy? Haven't left work yet?"

Grace looked at the phone and then said, "Are you stalking me? You jerk!"

Henry wasn't angry. He still spoke gently, "I just asked Ivan. It's not stalking. Grace, you don't have to be so sensitive."

The word "sensitive" was said with extreme ambiguity.

Grace rubbed her forehead and said in a low voice, "Henry, if you have something to say, just say it. I don't have the energy to beat around the bush with you."

Henry could hear her exhaustion and felt a bit of heartache.

He softly asked, "Do you want me to come pick you up?"

Grace refused, "No need! My driver is downstairs."

Henry's voice became even more tender and considerate. "Then go home first. There will be a surprise."

Grace should have hung up the phone right then, but she didn't.

She didn't speak, just quietly held the phone, and so did Henry on the other end.

On the phone, all she could hear was their light breathing, just like last night when they were wrapped up in each other, softly whispering into each other's ears, making their hearts race.

The air was charged with unspoken emotions.

Finally, Grace spoke, "I'm off work. If you want to take the kids back to the villa, just call ahead."

Henry didn't answer immediately. After a while, he asked in a low voice, "Grace, how did you feel last night?"

This time, Grace hung up directly. She felt she shouldn't have given Henry a chance to speak; he never said anything good.

But no matter how indifferent she acted, what happened last night couldn't be erased.

Whenever Grace had a moment to herself, she thought of that big bed and Henry's strong possession. Besides the pain, she also felt pleasure.

Grace gently shook her head, not daring to think about it anymore.

Half an hour later, she took a car back to the villa.

As soon as she got out of the car, Clara came over with a cane, hesitating before she said, "Grace, you should go inside and take a look!"
