Chapter 395 Oliver, Let's Separate!

Sarah remained silent.

Oliver, feeling guilty, walked in and gently closed the bedroom door. He asked softly, "You're awake?"

Sarah stared at him intently. After a moment, she spoke calmly, "Just like you, I haven't slept."

There was no point in pretending anymore.

Oliver walked over to the sofa and sat down. He took out an expensive jewelry box and said to Sarah, "Come over and see if you like it. If not, I'll personally take you to pick something else another day."

Sarah stood in the morning light, her tone carried a hint of mockery, "Oliver, why are you still pretending to be so affectionate? When I moved to Skylandia with Claire and the kids, I gave you and Ellie a chance. You were the one who came after us, who talked about starting over. But is this your idea of a new beginning—having Ellie basically living with you? Look, I'm not even mad about the affair, but it cannot be with Ellie."

She laid it out clearly.

Oliver frowned. He leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his hands forming a pyramid shape.

He looked noble and handsome, gazing up at her. After a moment, he said hoarsely, "I didn't sleep with her."

To his surprised, a stack of photos landed in front of him.

There were domestic, cozy ones, and some more passionate.

A few were taken just last night.

In the apartment, at the dining table by the floor-to-ceiling windows, he and Ellie were having dinner, looking like an ordinary couple.

There was also a set of passionate photos.

Ellie was sitting on his lap, kissing him intimately.

She was constantly caressing the her body.

He looked at Ellie with clear eyes. Sarah knew all too well that whenever Oliver wanted to sleep with a woman, he would show that explicit look.

Oliver looked through the photos one by one.

He tossed them onto the coffee table and asked lightly, "Did Ellie have someone take these? Sarah, I didn't sleep with her. This is all there is."

But Sarah wasn't moved. She smiled faintly and coldly. "Really? Oliver, do you think at this point I still care whether you actually slept with her? Even if you didn't, it's probably because you find her lacking, not out of any sense of morality!"

"I had these photos taken," she continued, "Oliver, when you brought me back from Skylandia, I accepted my fate! We could have been a couple living separate lives, but you wanted too much. I know you think I don't love you, but have you forgotten the time in Marigoldia when I stabbed you? That was my true feeling towards you. There's no love left between us!"

"Back then, you forced me to get pregnant in the Detention Center, you slapped me for Ellie... all these things, Oliver, do you think there's any room left for feelings between us? If there is, then either you're delusional, or I'm a fool." Whenever she recalled these thing, she was in great pain.

"I am not that foolish! Let's get a divorce, Oliver!" She finally said it.

Oliver remained in his previous posture. He scoffed lightly, "Do you think in Evergreen City, if I don't want a divorce... you can get one?"

"We can separate first, then file for divorce. I'm planning to move out today. Claire and the kids will come with me." she said firmly.

Oliver's blue eyes deepened.

After a moment, he stood up and approached her step by step, trapping her between the single sofa and himself. He leaned in like a lover whispering in her ear, "Separate? You mean not living with me, not sleeping with me, right? So who are you planning to sleep with for the next few decades?"

His words were crude and harsh.

Despite his refined and handsome exterior, it was just a facade for the business world. He had spent years in prison and knew all sorts of unsavory things.

At this moment, his true nature was exposed. "You're just upset about Ellie, aren't you? You never believe me, so I'll show you the truth."

Sarah tried to escape, but Oliver easily dragged her back by one slender leg. He stood by the bed, looking down at her with cold eyes, verbally humiliating her. "Isn't that what you're upset about? Sarah, you're really being hypocritical now."

Sarah's hair was disheveled, giving her a fragile beauty. Suddenly, she laughed.

When she laughed, a small tooth would show, which used to be very cute. But now, she had taken on a woman's charm. At some point, she had grown into a mature woman.

Sarah turned her body.

She reached out with delicate fingers, gently tracing his handsome features, deliberately repeating his words.

"Upset?"

"Hypocritical?"

"Oliver, you can't honestly believe I'll never move on from you, can you? Sure, I was young and naive once—every woman has that phase. But once I woke up, I realized all that lovey-dovey nonsense is meaningless. I used to think I'd never find anyone else after you, but after you kept disrespecting me, I figured it out: there are men everywhere. You and Ellie deserve each other—sorry, I mean, you're soulmates! So go ahead, be together."

Oliver's face darkened.

He had never known Sarah to be so sharp-tongued.

Sarah didn't spare his dignity.

She buried her face in the white pillow, her voice tinged with a woman's sensuality. "I know you won't agree to separate! But you have to."

"The project you recently signed, the one backed by the government, is very important to you. You need this project to build good relations with the higher-ups. If the president of the Windsor Group gets caught in a scandal now, do you think they'll avoid you? All the effort and money you've invested will be wasted, won't it?"

Oliver squinted. "I underestimated you!"

At that moment, Sarah recalled how, when they first got married, he always made her call him "honey," especially in bed. She used to foolishly comply, and now the memory still pained her.

Her voice was bitter. "Living with someone like you, even a fool would wise up."

Oliver stared at her.

Sarah knew he had compromised; he couldn't bear to lose his career.

As she expected, Oliver leaned against the headboard, lit a cigarette, and smoked slowly, his blue eyes fixed on her with a scrutinizing look.

After a long time, he put out the cigarette.

He said, "You can move out, but you can't see other men, or I'll cut him up! You know my temper, I mean what I say. When you come to your senses, you can move back. Also, I want to see Jacob, and you can't stop me."

Sarah didn't respond.

She hadn't expected it to go so smoothly; it seemed she had hit his weak spot.

She just smiled faintly.

At 9 a.m., she left with Claire and the kids.

When Claire dragged out several large suitcases from the closet, Oliver couldn't hold back. "When did you pack?"

Claire answered honestly. "The day Ms. Johnson returned, Mrs. Windsor told me to pack, saying we'd need it someday! Mr. Windsor, I thought you were different from other men, but it turns out rich men are all the same."

Sarah spoke softly. "Claire, go outside first!"

Claire grumbled as she left.

In the living room, only the couple remained...
