Chapter 305 Sarah, Let's Make A Deal

Sarah woke up in bed, her hands still tied up with those silk restraints, unable to move.

The clear nutrient solution dripped into her through a thin tube. Even if she starved for a month, as long as she was hooked up to that IV, she wouldn't die—just suffer more.

Oliver was ruthless. How could she have been so naive to think starving herself would make him let her go? She really overestimated herself and him. He wasn't human; he was a monster!

Lying there, Sarah's eyes were empty. She didn't want to starve anymore, but she had no appetite either. She was just done with life and herself.

Tears filled her eyes because she saw no way out.

Oliver wanted to talk to her when she woke up, but seeing her tears made him shut down again.

Albert, an old friend, knew Oliver had a nasty temper. Normally, he wouldn't deal with him, but Oliver had money. A house call for $30,000? No doctor could say no to that.

Albert felt really bad for Sarah. He tried to speak gently, "You're still young; you need to take care of yourself! Mrs. Windsor, if you take care of yourself, there's always hope for the future."

Sarah blinked lightly at his words.

Oliver's voice was cold, "I didn't hire a psychologist."

Albert wasn't scared. He shot back, "I think Mrs. Windsor has serious psychological issues, and so do you, Mr. Windsor! If you're sick, you need treatment!"

Oliver's expression turned icy, and the room felt like it dropped a few degrees.

Albert didn't push it. After the treatment, he quickly grabbed his medical bag and left.

Once everyone was gone, Oliver looked at Sarah. She showed no sign of giving in, just staring blankly at the ceiling, silently resisting.

That night, she spent two hours in the bathroom, scrubbing her body until it was red, almost peeling off a layer of skin. But she still felt filthy because Oliver had touched her.

They were stuck in this cold war for a week. Albert came every day, but Sarah still wouldn't eat or talk to Oliver. Whenever he touched her, she'd shrink into a corner, muttering about feeling dirty.

Oliver's eyes darkened. He stared at the trembling Sarah, frowning slightly, "If it matters to you, I won't see other women anymore."

Sarah still didn't respond.

Oliver was running out of patience. He was young, successful, and had never bent over backward for a woman. Only with Sarah had he shown any patience at all.

Just as he was about to lose it, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He stepped outside to take the call. It was Zoey. After the New Year, the company was back in full swing, and some big decisions needed Oliver, the CEO. But he had been holed up at Dawnstar.

Zoey sounded anxious, "Mr. Windsor, if we don't push that project forward, the other party might look for new partners, and we'll be in a tough spot."

Oliver thought for a moment and replied calmly, "Got it. I'll be back tomorrow." Then he hung up.

As he gripped the bedroom door handle, his face was unreadable. He decided he would take Sarah back to the States.

Oliver walked back into the master bedroom. Sarah still wouldn't look at him, lost in her own world. Maybe in that world, she was free from his control, free from this luxurious prison. For almost two years, she had been like a bird in a cage, kept by him.

Sarah couldn't understand. He had already taken his revenge, her youth, and the love in her heart. What more could he possibly want?

Oliver stood by the dresser, placing his phone on the counter. He looked at Sarah and spoke calmly, "Sarah, let's make a deal."

Hearing his words, Sarah's body tensed up.

Oliver continued, "Come back to Evergreen City with me. I'll buy you a big house. You can continue your studies or open a high-end gallery. I won't lock you up anymore. Jacob will be raised by your side. He'll have a complete childhood, with both of us as his parents."

Sarah blinked lightly. She turned to look at him, taking in his serious demeanor and handsome face. It was this striking appearance that had made her throw caution to the wind.

Sarah laughed, tears streaming down her face. Her voice was hoarse, "Your offer sounds tempting! But Oliver, how is this any different from now? I'm still just a pet you keep. One day, when you're unhappy or remember the hatred between our families, all of this will be taken away! I'll still have nothing."

Her expression grew colder as she continued, "I won't go back! I won't be your mistress or one of your many women. I won't lose my dignity waiting for your charity, and I won't let Jacob grow up in an abnormal family."
