Chapter 125 On the Third Day of Marriage, Frank Had a Vasectomy

Grace stared at Lucas until her eyes hurt, then abruptly turned away.

When she turned, she was already Mrs. Montague.

Grace walked into the fancy hall, heading straight for the elevator without looking back, afraid she'd regret it.

The banquet hall, packed with celebrities, could fit a hundred tables.

Frank wasn't there, but Vincent and Frank's parents showed up, giving Thalia enough face.

Thalia, though annoyed, forced a smile and drank heavily.

Just then, the doors opened, and the sound of high heels echoed. Everyone turned to look.

Grace, in a little black Chanel dress and high heels, walked straight to Vincent at the main table, pushing aside any waiters in her way.

In front of everyone, she confronted the Cavendish family. "Juniper and Frank were together before he got engaged to Thalia! Thalia beat her until she lost her hearing. You killed Juniper's baby and even tried to kill her! Mr. Vincent Cavendish, aren't you afraid of karma?"

Vincent, unfazed, tapped his cane and replied, "Your word alone doesn't prove there was a child or that it was Frank's. We need proof."

The crowd echoed his doubts.

"Frank wouldn't be that dumb!"

"Juniper was never decent!"

"Who knows whose kid it was!"

These folks, entangled with the Cavendish family, were all eager to trash Juniper.

Grace sneered and pulled out a piece of paper. "When the baby was lost, I had the doctor take a sample and did a DNA test with Frank. Here's the paternity test."

The Cavendish family's faces changed.

Vincent kept tapping his cane, eyes full of anger.

Grace placed the paper in front of Vincent, her voice soft. "I printed a hundred thousand copies of this test and scattered them all over Evergreen City!"

"I also paid to publish it in the newspaper! By now, everyone knows Juniper was pregnant with Frank's child and miscarried on his wedding day. Mr. Vincent Cavendish, what do you think people will say?"

Vincent laughed. "You're ruthless! Aren't you afraid of ruining your friend's reputation?"

Grace sneered. "Thanks to you, her reputation was already ruined! Now I'm just dragging Frank down with her! Given Frank's future, I think you'd want to clear things up for Juniper!"

Thalia couldn't hold back anymore.

Thalia snapped, "Grace, who do you think you are? What right do you have to defend Juniper?"

Henry's voice cut in. "She's my wife! Does she have the right?"

Henry wiped his hands with a napkin and smiled at Vincent. "Sorry, Mr. Vincent Cavendish! I think there's a misunderstanding between our families!"

He continued, "Juniper is my mother's newly adopted goddaughter, not the cheap woman Thalia claims, nor as disgraceful as you say! I knew and supported her relationship with Frank, but love can't be forced. Since Frank chose Thalia, I had nothing more to say! But now Juniper's been hit, miscarried, and is in a coma, and she's being accused of being after money. Mr. Vincent Cavendish, I've thought it over, and it seems the Montague Group's finances are fine, and there's no need to sell out Juniper for money."

Everyone was stunned.

In no time, Juniper went from being disgraced to the goddaughter of the Montague Group.

Vincent was the first to react. He figured Henry had struck a deal with Grace, making the Cavendish family the scapegoat.

Vincent didn't dare cross Henry.

Even together, the Cavendish and Green families couldn't match Henry. Despite his youth, Henry was already a top dog in Evergreen City, known for being tough.

So Vincent asked Grace what she wanted.

Grace knew this was as far as she could push it, and all Juniper could get was compensation.

She calmly said, "I have two conditions. First, the Cavendish family arranges a medical team for Juniper and publicly acknowledges she was pregnant with Frank's child. She wasn't his mistress; they were dating. Second, compensate Juniper again."

Frank's mom, Patricia Nelson, wasn't having it. "Didn't she already get $8 million? What more does she want?"

Grace shot back, "Would you be willing to get pregnant, miscarry, and lose your hearing for $8 million?"

Patricia was indignant. "How can you compare me to her?"

Just then, a low, hoarse voice came from the entrance. "I'll compensate her with this Azure Palace Hotel!"

Frank stood at the door, scarred, arm in a sling, looking defeated.

Thalia was livid. "Frank, are you nuts? This hotel is worth at least $150 million!"

Frank looked at Thalia and softly said, "She carried my child, and I'm willing! Why can't you give me a child?"

Thalia's face went pale. She had no comeback. Frank had only touched her once, in the hospital bathroom, and never again. How could she possibly get pregnant?

Thalia was humiliated, tears welling up.

Frank ignored her and looked at Grace, speaking softly. "Thank you for what you've done for her. She was kind to you before, and it paid off."

He had always been cynical, but now there was a hint of moisture in his eyes.

It wasn't that he didn't love her; he just had too many constraints. By the time he realized he was willing to risk everything for her, it was too late.

That day, Frank underwent a vasectomy.

Lying on the operating table, he wondered why his family was so cruel to Juniper and to him.

He had already accepted the arrangement and married Thalia, whom he didn't love. Why did they still have to kill his and Juniper's child?

If that was the case, then let the Cavendish family line end.

Grace left, and Henry drove her in a Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Inside the car, it was eerily quiet with just the two of them.

Henry leaned back, staring straight ahead. After a long while, he turned slightly and asked softly, "Why aren't you talking? Do you regret it?"

Grace lowered her eyes, almost whispering, "No, Henry, I don't regret it."

Henry's blue eyes were deep. "Why don't you dare look at me?"

She lifted her eyes to look at him and was momentarily stunned because Henry's gaze was too profound, filled with something she couldn't understand.

Henry raised his hand to gently touch her face, his voice low. "Then tell me, you love me."

Grace couldn't say it. How could she? She returned to his side for Juniper, not because she loved him. He should know this, so why force her to say something against her heart?

She closed her eyes slightly, her voice fragile. "Henry, actually we..."

Henry's voice remained gentle. "We are just good for sleeping together now, right? Only suitable for being sex partners, right? You sleep with me until I get tired of you, then off you go to Lucas, is that it?"

Grace's voice trembled. "I didn't think that way."

Henry pulled her over, making her sit on his lap.

He wouldn't let her escape. His forehead pressed tightly against hers, their noses touching. Their breaths mingled, the warm air igniting the desires of a man and a woman.

Grace trembled slightly from his heat, wanting to get down.

Henry held her waist, pressing his lips against hers and murmuring, "Kiss me. Prove you love me."
