Chapter 328 Sarah, Can This Save Her Life?
Sarah gazed out the window.
Oliver was standing there, looking all gloomy, locking eyes with her.
Sarah whispered to Olivia, "You don't need to feel bad. It's not your fault. If someone really wants to do something, no one can stop them. Even if you stop them today, you can't stop them tomorrow!"
Olivia stomped her foot, fuming, "Ellie is so ruthless! She deserves at least twenty years in prison."
Sarah glanced at Oliver.
She rarely asked him for anything, but now she softly said, "Oliver, I don't care how complicated your feelings are for her, but this time Jacob almost died because of her. You owe me and Jacob an explanation!"
After a long pause, Oliver finally spoke, his voice hoarse, "Don't worry! I'll give you an explanation."
Sarah didn't say anything more.
At that moment, Jacob briefly woke up. He didn't have the strength to speak, just held Sarah's hand.
Sarah hugged his small body, comforting him, telling him not to be afraid, and softly sang a lullaby to him.
The moonlight was hazy. Sarah was so gentle in comforting Jacob, so focused on looking at him, thinking in her heart, 'I hope you grow up safe and sound. I don't have much time left, but in my remaining days, I'll clear the obstacles from your path. No one will hurt or scare you again.'
The phone rang abruptly. Oliver stood by the window, answering Zoey's call. Zoey had been busy all night, her voice hoarse. She said, "Mr. Windsor, we found Ellie!"
Oliver's voice tightened, "Send me the address!"
He hung up the phone, and Facebook pinged with a message from Zoey with the location.
Oliver glanced at it, put away his phone, and looked up to meet Sarah's eyes. She spoke softly, "Don't forget what you promised me."
After speaking, she looked at Jacob again.
Oliver's throat tightened, "Don't worry, I haven't forgotten."
He walked out of the ward.
Zoey was waiting outside. She followed Oliver, saying, "I think she did it on purpose. She deliberately exposed her whereabouts, wanting you to find her."
Zoey continued, "I've already called the police. Mr. Windsor, after you talk to her, the police will take her away to face justice."
Oliver said nothing. When he got into the car, he thought he would give Sarah an explanation.
They arrived at the five-star hotel.
Zoey suggested going in together, but Oliver calmly refused. He opened the hotel suite door alone.
Ellie was waiting for him, wearing a silk nightgown, her sexy body sprawled on the dark couch, looking vibrant and alluring. She still called him as she used to, "Oliver, there you are."
Oliver stood at the door, coldly scrutinizing her. Then, he slowly walked over, grabbed her long hair, and slapped her hard.
Ellie's cheek immediately swelled, and blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.
But she wasn't afraid. Instead, she laughed, moving closer to him, her voice light, "Hit me again! If you're still angry, hit me again! Aren't you here to kill me today?"
After Ellie spoke, Oliver slapped her twice more. Her head was slammed against the wall.
Ellie slumped there, taking a long time to recover.
Oliver grabbed her hair, slamming her head again, and angrily questioned, "Weren't we just a casual fling? Didn't I pay you? Didn't we part on good terms? You kidnapped my son, tried to kill him. He's just a child. If anything happened to him, I swear I'll kill you!"
Ellie laughed, "Oliver, are you really worried about your son, or are you just scared Sarah will leave you? Are you afraid of losing your home and ending up like me, with nothing?"
She went on, "And what did you say earlier? Part on good terms? Why should we part on good terms? Do you know how I got the Infinite Dreams Innovations project? That night you left first, went to sweet-talk Sarah, while I was drugged and dragged into a hotel room by three men. I got pregnant! An ectopic pregnancy!"
Ellie laughed, tears streaming down her face, "I don't even know who the father was! When I had the abortion, the doctor told me that the assault had severely damaged my uterus. I can never have children again! Do you know how scared I was? I didn't dare tell you. I continued to accompany you to social events, drinking with clients. I thought you had some genuine feelings for me. I dreamed of becoming your wife."
"But just when I was about to have everything, you took it all away! Just because Sarah saw our intimate video, you wanted to leave me with nothing! What about my youth, the child I carried, my broken body, Oliver, who do I settle accounts with?"
Ellie scattered the surgery papers everywhere.
She laughed with her head tilted back, tears in her eyes.
She was ruthless. She wanted to kill Sarah's son, but these were all because of Oliver's betrayal.
Oliver's hand slowly loosened, and he stepped back, dejected.
About half an hour later, he walked out of the hotel suite, his expression dark and unreadable.
Zoey was waiting at the door, ready to act.
But Oliver raised his hand, looking at Zoey calmly, "Tell the folks downstairs that the whole thing with Jacob was a misunderstanding. Write a check for the police to grab some coffee, as my way of apologizing."
Zoey was stunned. She guessed Oliver's intention, that he wanted to let Ellie go.
Zoey couldn't help but say, "Mr. Windsor, what about Mrs. Windsor..."
Oliver looked at the rising sun, his voice tinged with fatigue, "I'll explain to her myself."
He didn't return to the hospital immediately. He sat in the car, smoking more than half a pack of cigarettes, the smoke filling the air.
In his ears, Sarah's words echoed, "Give me an explanation."
It was almost noon when he returned to the villa, went to the study on the second floor, opened the safe, and took out a formal document. Then he drove to the hospital.
When he opened the door to the ward, Jacob was still asleep, and Sarah sat quietly on the couch.
Sarah hadn't rested; she had been waiting for Oliver to return, waiting for his explanation.
He entered, and Sarah looked up at him, her voice hoarse, "Where's Ellie? Is she in prison?"
Oliver didn't answer. He came to her, slowly knelt in front of her, touched her knee, and softly said, "How about sending her abroad? She won't come back and won't harm Jacob again!"
Sarah's eyes widened in shock. She stared at him, her voice shrill, "Oliver, is this your explanation?"
Sarah laughed bitterly, slapping him, "Send her abroad? To continue being your mistress? Oliver, you let a woman who almost killed your son stay by your side as your mistress. Am I ignorant, or is this too outrageous? Oliver, you are such a jerk!"
She was so agitated, her whole body trembling, even convulsing.
Oliver hugged her tightly.
Sarah pushed him away, stumbling towards the door, "You want to let her go, but I won't! I'm going to call the police right now! I want her to pay the price."
"Sarah!" Oliver called her, pulling her back.
Sarah slapped him again, cursing, "Bastard! Beast!"
Oliver took it silently. After a while, he gently placed the document on the table. The bright object stung Sarah's eyes because she recognized it.
It was the original evidence from Dylan. She guessed Oliver's intention.
Sure enough, Oliver's voice was soft, "Sarah, can this save her life?"
