Chapter 338 Go Check on My Little Bunny
Sarah looked up, still a bit out of it, and saw Oliver standing there. He was good-looking, dressed to the nines, and his perfectly styled hair screamed wealth and maturity.
As she checked him out, he glanced at her, then took off his suit jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "Your dress is torn," he said.
He was tall, and the suit practically swallowed her small frame.
She caught a faint whiff of tobacco on it, a pleasant, manly scent. At 21, Sarah had never been with a guy or in a relationship, and she felt totally lost.
Oliver picked up the injured Daniela and gave a quick command, "Follow me." Then he got out of the car.
Sarah scrambled to keep up.
Oliver's car was parked by the curb, a sleek black stretch Lincoln that screamed luxury. Besides him, there was a driver and a stunning woman in the front seat.
Daniela was laid out in the back.
Sarah sat next to Oliver, facing the driver. Oliver tapped the front lightly and said, "To the nearest hospital."
"Yes, Mr. Windsor," the driver nodded and hit the gas.
Sarah was still in a fog. When she snapped out of it, she was half-kneeling on the carpet, holding Daniela's hand and tearfully urging her to hang on.
Oliver leaned back in his seat, his white shirt stained with blood, but it didn't take away from his good looks.
He pulled out a cigarette but didn't light it, just tapped it gently as he looked down at the confused Sarah.
She was even more innocent than he thought, like a harmless little bunny.
She knelt there, her butt sticking up. If she had a little white tail, it would be adorable.
Her skin was flawless. As she knelt, her legs were exposed, making any guy want to touch them. Oliver, being a normal guy, checked her out. His eyes were full of desire.
He leaned in, his hand on her shoulder, his voice a bit rough. "She'll be fine. We're almost at the hospital."
Sarah flinched, looking up at Oliver with her big, innocent eyes. Even someone as tough as Oliver felt a pang in his heart.
But he quickly shook it off.
He smiled lightly, almost forgetting she was Sarah, Dylan's sister.
Sarah whispered, "Thank you."
Oliver reached out his hand to her. She hesitated, then took it, and he helped her back to her seat. Even though she was sitting next to him like before, her heart was now racing.
Oliver, on the other hand, stayed calm. He took a tissue and wiped the blood from his hands, then said a few words to the beautiful woman in the front.
Sarah kept her eyes on Daniela.
Suddenly, Oliver took her hand, looked down at her, and said softly, "My name is Oliver Windsor."
Sarah looked up, panicked. After a moment, she stammered, "My name is Sarah Miller."
"Sarah," Oliver repeated, smiling faintly, then let go of her hand.
Sarah felt relieved, but the hand he had held stayed warm. She awkwardly curled her fingers, a move that didn’t escape Oliver. He chuckled.
Later, they got to the hospital.
Oliver was super reliable, and Daniela got immediate treatment. When she woke up, a nurse jokingly told her that a very handsome man had carried her in.
Daniela seemed calm, but her cheeks were flushed.
The next day, Oliver visited again, still with the beautiful woman.
Sarah happened to be there. When she saw him, she stood up awkwardly and whispered, "Mr. Windsor."
Oliver's eyes drifted over her legs.
Today, Sarah's dress was shorter than yesterday's, showing off her legs below the knees—straight, long, and with flawless skin, like a character straight out of a comic book.
Oliver's eyes were deep, but he stayed cool, focusing on the injured Daniela instead. Daniela, who was from out of town and not well-off, naturally developed a crush on such a handsome and high-status guy who had also saved her life.
She tried to win Oliver's favor, being both shy and enthusiastic, and she was really good at flattering him.
Oliver was patient, smiling occasionally. He even thoughtfully arranged for a professional caregiver for Daniela and fronted $30,000 for her medical bills, securing the best VIP room for her.
The whole time, Oliver didn't say a word to Sarah.
He acted like he was really into Daniela. Sarah, being just 21, felt a bit let down. She tried hard to act normal, worried others might notice her feelings.
But she was still so naive. Her thoughts were an open book to Oliver. To him, she was just someone he could mess with, unable to resist.
He stayed for about half an hour before leaving, with Daniela looking all reluctant.
After Oliver left, Daniela covered her face, her tone full of excitement. She even grabbed Sarah's hand and asked, "Do you think Mr. Windsor likes me? I think he's really handsome! I'd marry him right now if I could. Sarah, did you see how long his legs are? When he looks at you, it makes your heart race. I've never seen such a perfect man!"
Sarah's face was pale, and she forced a smile, "Maybe."
She spent several nights trying to get over her feelings for Oliver. She thought that maybe he really did like girls like Daniela, and if they ended up together, she would give them her blessing.
Later, whenever she visited the hospital, she would often run into Oliver. He would occasionally chat, making Daniela very happy, her cheeks flushed.
Gradually, Sarah stopped visiting.
She didn't return Oliver's suit in person, worried it might cause a misunderstanding. She found out who he was—CEO of the Windsor Group—and sent it back via courier.
Windsor Group, CEO's office.
Oliver leaned back in his chair, resting his chin on his hand, quietly looking at the package on his desk, which contained his suit.
Sarah was mad and refused to see him. How interesting!
Zoey, standing nearby, spoke softly, "Mr. Windsor, the damage from the last car accident is estimated at around $4 million. The person in charge at the bus company called. What do you think...?"
Oliver took a cigarette from his pack and lit it.
He took a few puffs, then glanced at Zoey. "Write him a check for $8 million to shut him up! Tell him if there's any leak, he should watch his back."
Zoey nodded. Then she remembered something and added, "By the way, Mr. Windsor, today is Daniela's discharge day. Are you going to pick her up?"
Oliver looked up, exhaling smoke, and smiled, "If I go again, Sarah will be really mad."
Zoey smiled, "It seems Daniela has a crush on you."
Oliver stubbed out his cigarette, smiling, "There are plenty of women who like me. If it weren't for Sarah, I would never have crossed paths with someone like that."
Zoey understood that Oliver wasn't interested in Daniela.
She asked, "Mr. Windsor, where are you going now?"
Oliver's gaze fell on the package, and he chuckled, "I'm going to check on my little bunny."
