Chapter 307 Sarah Returns to Evergreen City

Sarah couldn't stop Oliver. He still opened the door, holding her slim waist, walking under the dazzling crystal chandelier. The light hit her skin, making the sweat glisten.

Sarah's long, wet hair hung down to her waist, swaying gently like that of a beautiful water nymph.

Oliver kept moving, and she looked distracted. When they got to the bedroom, he put her on the edge of the bed, and things got rough. Even if she didn't go along, he always knew how to drive her wild.

Soon, the sheets were a mess, and in the fancy room, all you could hear were the bed creaking and Sarah's hoarse, weak moans. She begged him over and over, but he wouldn't relent. Staring at her, he wanted her to give in.

Oliver had the strength; he could torment her all night.

In the end, Sarah couldn't take it anymore. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her thin body against him. As she did this, tears burst from her eyes.

After a while, Oliver was finally satisfied. He didn't care about her, casually grabbed a tissue to wipe himself, and then went back to the study.

Sarah was already fragile, and with Oliver's 6-foot tall, strong build, two hours of sex with him nearly drained the life out of her. She slowly curled her body into a protective posture.

Sarah's face was pressed against the sheets, and tears kept falling from the corners of her eyes, darkening the color of the sheets and quickly soaking a small patch.

When she went to the bathroom to wash, she stood naked in front of the mirror, looking at the marks of humiliation all over her body. This time, Oliver was rougher than ever before, using all the tricks he had previously been reluctant to use on her.

The bathroom was filled with steam, blurring Sarah's vision.

Sarah stayed in the bathroom for a full hour, washing her body over and over again, but Oliver's scent seemed to be etched into her bones, impossible to wash away. When she walked out of the bathroom, she sat dazedly in front of the vanity.

People said girls loved beauty, but she had no motivation to take care of her appearance. She felt like a walking corpse, just going through the motions to survive.

The bedroom door creaked open. Olivia quietly walked in and discreetly handed Sarah a small crimson pill. She whispered, "Mr. Windsor doesn't know. Take it, and be more careful from now on."

As she spoke, Olivia wiped away her tears, "Having Jacob is enough. You can't have another child. Think about it, women really have it tough."

Sarah took the pill and swallowed it without a second thought. Olivia didn't dare stay long and quietly went downstairs.

The next morning, the Windsor Group's private jet touched down at Evergreen City International Airport.

Zoey was there to pick them up. When she saw Sarah, she was taken aback for a moment, then respectfully said, "Mrs. Windsor!"

Sarah didn't respond.

Oliver put his arm around her shoulder and spoke softly, "Not in the mood to talk?"

His affectionate tone threw Zoey for a loop. She thought, 'Weren't they divorced? Why do they seem so close again? Must be because of the kid!'

They all piled into the car.

After about an hour, they arrived at a villa district in the heart of the city, filled with high-end private villas, each over 20,000 square feet.

Olivia got out of the car and, despite having seen a lot, couldn't help but exclaim, "This place is huge! In pricey Evergreen City, a villa like this must cost a fortune!"

Zoey smiled modestly and said, "More than $30 million!"

Olivia glanced at Oliver, feeling conflicted. She wondered if this place was a home or just a hideout for his mistress. She always cared about Sarah and supported her, so she couldn't help but worry.

Oliver was unusually considerate. He took Sarah and Jacob upstairs, opening the master bedroom on the second floor. Besides their room, there was also a nursery, allowing them to take care of the child while maintaining some privacy.

Jacob was still young, so after they entered, Oliver closed the windows and turned up the heat. Turning around, he saw Sarah holding Jacob.

Sarah holding Jacob felt like a lifetime ago. She had returned to Evergreen City, and Jacob was in her arms.

Oliver watched by the window for a while, then walked up behind her, embracing both her and Jacob.

At this moment, he felt a sense of warmth, maybe because she had submitted, maybe because his anger had subsided, or maybe because his desire had been satisfied. In any case, he became more agreeable and wanted to make this moment last forever.

Oliver was impulsive, almost blurting out, "Sarah, let's remarry!"

Sarah's body stiffened. She hadn't expected Oliver to make such a request. She looked down at Jacob in her arms. His face, just after waking up, was innocent and adorable. He looked at her with big eyes. Even though he wasn't familiar with her, he didn't cry. Instead, he smiled, showing a few small white teeth, looking extremely cute.

Sarah smiled gently, but when she spoke to Oliver, she was very cold, "Isn't it good the way it is now?"

Her rejection made Oliver feel instantly deflated.
