Chapter 409 Naming

Octavius was at a loss.

He was devastated. "You're really gonna leave me over this? Calliope, finding a perfect husband after a divorce isn't easy. And making a name for yourself in Evergreen City? That's even tougher. You're being way too naive!"

But Calliope had made up her mind.Tears shimmered in her eyes, and her voice was filled with sorrow and emotion. "What you just said—that's exactly how I used to feel! Honestly, until today, it never even crossed my mind to leave you. I admired you, I loved you; in my eyes, you were everything. When I learned about your countless affairs, it hurt me deeply, but I kept telling myself it was just a phase, that you'd come back to me when it was over.

"I truly believed I could endure it forever.

"But it wasn't until I saw the way Mr. and Mrs. Windsor are together that I finally saw things clearly. Octavius, we're just coexisting—settling for each other simply because we haven't found anything better. I've noticed the way you look at Mrs. Windsor. I never said anything because I know she would never be interested in you. She's experienced the best, and she wouldn't settle for anything less."

Octavius's face darkened.

His wife actually belittled him like this. He wanted to argue back, but found that he had no way to refute her.

Calliope fell silent.

In the dim light of the car, her face was more serene than ever.

When they got home, she packed her belongings into the guest room, deciding to sleep separately from Octavius. She also took a portion of the money he kept there. She wasn't foolish; after dedicating ten years of her youth, she wasn't leaving empty-handed. She only took a third.

Seated on the couch, Octavius watched his wife move in and out, as though she were preparing for the end. His feelings were complicated. He hadn't loved her much before, but now that she was leaving, he felt a sense of loss.

But he didn't stop her, thinking there were plenty of women out there.

Late at night, in the VIP hospital room.

Claire had rushed over, bringing carefully prepared soup for Sarah, feeding her like she was her own daughter.

Oliver was playing with the baby nearby.

Looking at his strong, handsome son, he said sincerely, "Naming this kid is easy. Let's call him Grogbert Windsor! It's a unique name!"

Sarah almost choked.

She shot her husband a look of utter disapproval. "That name is awful!"

Oliver pondered for a moment. "How about Snodgrass Windsor?"

Sarah was so angry she ignored him.

Claire, spooning Sarah her supplements, stifled a laugh. "Sir, if you give this one such a name, he'll never forgive you when he grows up! That name is even plainer than the kids back in our village."

Oliver pinched his son's cheek. "Come on, isn't it a good name?"

The baby started crying.

Sarah glared at him and asked him to hand the baby over. Despite using one hand, Oliver skillfully passed the baby to her. Sarah unbuttoned her shirt to nurse. She had taken good care of herself during this pregnancy, and the baby greedily drank the sweet milk.

Oliver didn't dare look too long and sat back on the couch.

Even though Sarah had just given birth, she looked fresh and radiant. Under the light, she gazed at their son with a soft and gentle voice. "Let's name him Elliot Windsor."

"That's quite artistic."

Oliver repeated the name, walked over, and touched his son's head. "His nickname can be Grogbert!"

Sarah was furious. "Oliver!"

Oliver chuckled quietly, looking at Sarah under the light, finding her more beautiful than ever. Claire, sensing the moment, retreated to the small room and closed the door.

The ward was hushed, broken only by the rhythmic sound of Elliot nursing. Oliver, unable to ignore the sight of Sarah's bare breast, felt a wave of desire and shifted awkwardly in his chair.

Sarah noticed and, her voice soft and a little teasing, murmured, "If you really can't take it, just go to the bathroom for a bit. It's not healthy to keep bottling up those urges."

Since Oliver moved to Harmony City, he had been visiting Sarah every two weeks. But ever since she got pregnant, they hadn't been intimate for almost six months.

Sarah was understanding.

But Oliver didn't mind. He stared at her face and said, "It's fine! It'll be over soon."

He missed her so much that he couldn't help but touch her face.

Sarah leaned into his shoulder, feeling the same longing.

Their brief separation made their reunion sweeter.

They didn't exchange sweet nothings but discussed the Moore family's situation and the dynamics in Harmony City. Finally, Sarah leaned on his shoulder and softly said, "We can't use Octavius anymore."

Oliver couldn't agree more. His features were sharp and striking, and though a few fine lines had appeared at the corners of his eyes and brows with age, they didn't make him look old—instead, they added a touch of mature masculinity.

He agreed with Sarah. "Now that the Moore family has fallen, those connections aren't useful to us anymore. You said we owe Calliope a favor, so let's support Percival to keep Octavius in check and make sure he doesn't cause us any trouble."

Sarah nodded softly.

After discussing business, they finally had time for each other.

In the soft light, Oliver held his wife's shoulder and kissed her gently.

As their passion ignited, he didn't want to stop. He looked at Elliot's head and whispered, "After a month, I'll get the surgery, and we can try for a daughter."

Sarah disagreed.

She whispered, "Let's wait two more years until Elliot is older."

Oliver said, "Sarah, I'm 42 years old."

Sarah couldn't help but laugh. She looked up at his handsome nose and said softly, "Whose fault is it that you're old?"

"Yours, for being born too late."

Oliver's eyes were deep, filled with tenderness.

Just as they were lost in each other, Oliver's phone rang. It was Zoey.

He answered.

Zoey's tone was brief. "Mr. Windsor, Azalea gave birth. She had a daughter with Nicholas! The baby's cord blood has been sent to Isaac's hospital."

Oliver focused on the key point. "A daughter?"
