Chapter 60 Henry's Almost Confession

Henry was about to speak when the operating room door swung open.

The doctor came out, sighing in relief. "After the gastric lavage, the patient is out of danger! Mr. Montague, our hospital will fully cooperate with the police investigation. Rest assured!"

Henry's face stayed neutral. He turned to Celeste and said, "Arrange to transfer Elodie to the Montague Group hospital at dawn."

Celeste, looking exhausted, nodded.

Rebecca, dazed, said, "Mr. Montague, aren't you going to stay with Elodie? She just got saved; she needs you!"

Celeste scoffed, "Mr. Montague isn't a doctor!"

Rebecca fell silent.

Henry then looked at Lucas and smiled. "I left in such a hurry, I didn't get to comfort Grace! She's probably sulking under the covers. Don't worry, Lucas; I'll go home and be with her now."

Checking his watch, he added, "There are still seven hours until work. Plenty of time to make up with my wife! Couples argue and makeup quickly. Lucas, you should get married soon to experience it."

Henry's words had a subtle hint that Lucas caught. As he watched Henry, a faint smile appeared on Lucas's face. Henry's care for Grace had gone beyond mere romance, becoming something deeper.

Those words were all about a man's possessiveness over a woman.

Back at the villa at 1 AM, Henry found the place dark. He got out of the car and looked up at the second-floor windows, all dark. Grace hadn't left a light on for him.

Henry finished his cigarette, grabbed his coat, and headed upstairs.Without turning on a light, he entered the master bedroom. He kicked off his shoes and slid under the covers beside Grace.

As he wrapped his arms around her, pressing his cheek to hers, Grace trembled slightly. The tension was thick; he knew she wasn't asleep or in a good mood.

In the dark, he whispered, "Why aren't you sleeping?"

Grace's cheek rested on the pillow. After a long pause, she softly replied, "I was almost asleep."

Henry chuckled. His hand slipped under the covers, teasing her like before. Grace struggled slightly, but he held her tighter, his voice hoarse as he whispered, "Did I wake you?"

His tone was gentle, like a loving husband. Grace no longer loved him, but at that moment, she felt like crying.

In the darkness, her eyes grew moist. She was glad the lights were off; otherwise, he would see her at her most vulnerable.

She stayed silent, and Henry didn't push her. He just held her, gently stroking her, maybe out of habit or just to comfort her. Grace endured it all without a word.

Henry slid under the covers, still in his shirt and belt, carrying a faint scent of hospital disinfectant. Grace, in her delicate silk nightgown, couldn't ignore where he'd just been. Despite trying to stay indifferent, she couldn't help but say, "Henry, please go wash up."

Henry gently turned her to face him, and suddenly, she found herself beneath him.

He stared at her and asked quietly, "When you took the condom tonight, it wasn't because your period wasn't over; you just thought I was dirty, didn't you?"

Grace, overwhelmed, turned her face into the pillow, her voice trembling. "Stop, Henry. Just stop talking."

Henry took her hand and placed it on his chest. Leaning in, he kissed her tenderly until tears welled in her eyes. Softly, he said, "Grace, trust me. It's all clean. I haven't been with Kimberly, Elodie, or any other woman."

Grace was stunned. Tears fell, making her feel even more humiliated.

After three years of marriage, she had given up on him. Now, hearing him say he hadn't touched anyone else, her heart quietly awakened, beating faster.

She lay helplessly beneath Henry, listening to his near-confession. He said it was his first time with her and that over the years, no matter how much he needed it on business trips, he had never been with another woman or fooled around at social events.

As he spoke, his words grew rougher, saying he had only ever held her.

Henry wasn't lying. He had only ever been with Grace. All his experience came from her, all the positions he knew were developed with her, and all his techniques were only used on her.

Henry rarely talked about sex, but when he did in the quiet of the night, it was seductive and sexy. It was nothing like the usually serious Henry, who always seemed indifferent.

A man of Henry's charm could easily captivate any woman he desired. Grace's cheeks flushed slightly, a sign of his effect on her.

Sensing her warmth, Henry chuckled softly and reached for the bedside lamp. The room lit up, revealing Grace with her clothes askew and hair cascading across the pillow. At that moment, Henry was struck by her beauty.

Now, he understood why some men still had sex with their wives during their periods. It wasn't that other men were all gentlemen; they just hadn't been stimulated enough. With enough stimulation, most would turn into bastards.

Henry suppressed his physical needs. He held her neck, leaned down, and kissed her, whispering impulsively, "I really want to fuck you to death."

These words revealed his preference; he always liked it rough.
