Chapter 754 Molly Is Pregnant 2

The moment Taylor finished speaking, the entire Windsor family froze.

Sarah was the first to stir. She leaned forward, voice tight with concern. "Is Molly all right?"

Taylor smiled. "Don't worry. Molly's fine. Just a little overwhelmed. The baby was… unexpected. Elliot is with her right now."

Before Sarah could respond, Oliver muttered under his breath, "Now that's the best kind of surprise."

He knew Elliot and Molly were deeply in love, but what parent doesn't dream of grandchildren? And with looks like theirs, the child was bound to be beautiful. Just the thought of it made Oliver's heart race.

In his mind, he was already certain: it would be a little girl.

A little girl who would look just like Molly.

A few minutes later, Elliot emerged from the room with Molly in his arms. She had been given some glucose and was fully conscious now, though she would need to rest for several days once they got home. The doctor had advised her to postpone all work during the first trimester.

The baby might have been a surprise, but Molly already loved it fiercely.

One hand rested gently on her still-flat belly; the other curled around Elliot's neck. Her heart was brimming with happiness.

In her darkest days, she had imagined what happiness might feel like, but never this kind of happiness—so complete, so overwhelming, it felt almost unreal.

She looked up and found Elliot's gaze on her, warm and unshakable. His voice was low and rough when he said, "Molly, we're having a baby."

They had been married for some time now. Elliot could be boyish on occasion, but most of the time he was steady—steadier with each passing year.

Sometimes Molly thought he had married young, giving her the very best years of his life. On nights when she woke and found herself in his arms, she would think about how her happiness had been bought at the cost of her mother's unhappiness.

Elliot disagreed.

He said it was because she was worth it—worth the wait, worth his change of heart.

Molly said nothing.

Around them stood Elliot's family—her family now—smiling, blessing them with their presence. Molly thought that if there was anything greater than the happiness she felt in this moment, it was the happiness of knowing they were bringing a child into this world.

Her cheeks carried a soft glow, the kind that only love could give. She tilted her head back, looked into Elliot's eyes, and whispered, "Elliot, I love you."

He blinked, then bent down without hesitation to kiss her.

He didn't say the words back, but the depth in his eyes was enough to drown in.

Life was long. One Molly was enough.

Life was short. He would love her until there was nothing left to wish for.

When the kiss ended, Elliot murmured, "I'm so happy."

Happy that the woman in his arms was Molly—the same girl who had once stolen his breath away.

For parents, nothing brings more joy than seeing their children happy. Oliver and Sarah's faces were alight with pride. Even Jacob, usually reserved, glanced at Serafina with a tenderness that spoke of old memories.

Diana clung to Sarah's arm, utterly moved. Elliot and Molly were truly in love.

And then she remembered what she'd once believed: that love took courage.

Late that night, Diana was still lost in thought when something caught her eye.

At the far end of the corridor, a familiar figure was pushing a wheelchair toward the elevator. In the next instant, they were gone.

Dwayne?

She stood there staring, until Oliver gave her a nudge. "Come on, let's go home. Let Elliot take care of Molly."

Diana nodded, but as they walked away, she couldn't resist glancing back. The hallway was empty.

Dwayne had already left.

She hesitated for a moment, a question lingering in her mind: Was he with her?
