Chapter 16 Just a Moment, and It's About to Be Ruined

the Montague Group.

Celeste knocked on the door and walked in after getting the okay.

Henry was on the phone with Aurora, talking about exactly what Celeste needed to report.

"Henry, are you seriously letting Grace go out in public like this? Who is Frank? And that Juniper, with her terrible reputation, Grace can't be seen with her! Henry, you need to control your wife," Aurora said.

Henry's tone was cool. "Mom, Grace is divorcing me. How am I supposed to control her?"

Aurora was all about the Montague family's reputation. Despite her long rant, Henry didn't care, and she hung up angrily.

Henry put down his phone and looked at Celeste. "Grace went to Frank's place?"

Celeste was about to speak when she noticed a velvet box next to Henry. She knew it held Grace's wedding ring. It looked like it had been opened and looked at a lot.

Henry still wore his silver wedding band. Even though he didn't love Grace, he kept the ring on to remind other women he was married.

Celeste's fingers curled slightly. After a moment, she replied with a faint smile, "Yes! Juniper introduced her. That model with the bad reputation. I don't know how Mrs. Montague knows her."

Henry didn't care about Juniper or Frank.

He thought of Lucas, the way Lucas looked at Grace, like a man wanting to possess a beautiful woman. That kind of greed, that kind of loving gaze, was obvious. The childhood neighbor story was just a cover!

Henry leaned back, flipping through some documents, his tone casual. "Schedule tonight's meeting with Felix Rodriguez at the Azure Palace Hotel."

Celeste was surprised. Henry usually had meetings at business hotels.

Was this exception because of Grace?

Celeste was silent for a long time, and Henry looked up at her. "Is there a problem?"

She quickly bowed her head, answering, "Mr. Montague, I'll arrange it right away."

At 8 PM, on the 56th floor of the Azure Palace Hotel.

Felix Rodriguez's group had already arrived, including Frank, sitting around playing cards.

Most of the men had young girls next to them. They were either young actresses or models!

This clique was known as the most influential second-generation rich kids in Evergreen City.

Henry was among the elite, and several people stood up to show respect when he arrived.

When Henry sat down, Frank personally poured him a drink, teasing, "You're a rare guest here, but there's an even rarer person, Henry, you won't believe it!"

Henry guessed it might be Lucas.

Just as frustration began to simmer within him, Grace walked in. Setting up her violin as usual, she prepared to play. Suddenly, her eyes met Henry's, and she froze.

In the luxurious hall, the lighting was dim.

Henry leaned on an English-style sofa, exuding an air of nobility, coldly staring at Grace.

His gaze was like when he watched her on the big bed in the bedroom, watching her fall into desire alone as he tormented her. Even though Grace had filed for divorce, she couldn't help but tremble when their eyes met.

Grace's hands trembled slightly as she played, but the music was still beautiful.

Henry was somewhat taken aback. While he didn't know much about music, Grace's rendition was exceptional. Not only was it beautiful, but it also felt familiar, like he had heard it somewhere before!

Henry was sure he hadn't heard Grace play the violin before or after their marriage.

Where was it then?

As he was thinking, the piece ended, and applause erupted around.

Felix didn't expect to run into Grace either.

Felix had some grudges with Grace. Back then, his sister Esme Rodriguez had also pursued Henry, but Grace beat her to it, losing the Montague family as a marriage prospect. How could Felix be happy?

Felix, aiming to make things tough for Grace, turned and smiled slyly. "Henry, look who's here—Grace!"

Henry idly toyed with his lighter, staying silent. Felix took this as a sign that Henry didn't care about Grace. So, he called out to her, "Grace!"

Grace glanced over, sensing Felix's bad intentions, but she had to keep up appearances, especially with Frank in the room.

She walked over, and Felix poured her three glasses of red wine.

He spoke politely, "Grace, I didn't expect to see you here! When you married Henry, Esme was immature and threw a fit. Today, I'm apologizing on her behalf!"

Felix, a seasoned drinker, could handle three glasses of red wine like it was nothing.

After taking a sip, he fixed his gaze on Grace. "Grace, as Mrs. Montague, you wouldn't look down on me and refuse this, would you?"

Frank sat there, a finger resting on his chin. Grace was supposed to be under his watch, and he should have stepped in. But with Henry staying silent, Frank saw no reason to interfere. He was curious to see Henry's reaction.

He glanced at Henry, who was still playing with his lighter, his blue eyes downcast, showing no emotion. It looked like he didn't want to get involved.

Frank thought, it seems Henry and Grace are really going to divorce. He was about to say something to mediate.

Grace, however, picked up a glass of red wine. She quietly looked at Felix and softly asked, "If I drink these three glasses, will you promise not to make things difficult for me in the future, no matter what?"

Felix squinted slightly. He had planned to make things hard for Grace after she divorced Henry.

He didn't expect Grace to be this smart.

But three glasses of wine would be enough to make her suffer!

Felix chuckled, "Alright, I promise. If you drink these three glasses, our past grievances are over. Even if you divorce Henry, I won't make things difficult for you."

Grace knew Felix well enough to trust he wouldn't go back on his word.

She looked down at the red wine in her hand.

Her alcohol tolerance was poor; one glass would knock her out, but she had no choice. The Windsor family was on the brink of collapse; she couldn't afford another enemy.

Grace tilted her head back and drank a whole glass of red wine.

After drinking, her cheeks flushed a faint pink, spreading to the back of her ears. Her brows and eyes gained a bit of womanly charm she usually didn't have, a look between a girl and a woman, which was quite alluring.

Felix felt a slight stir in his heart, not knowing what this feeling was.

Grace finished two glasses, and Frank spoke up, "Felix, that's enough!"

But Felix didn't relent, still wanting to vent his anger.

Grace was already struggling, but she still picked up the third glass, her slender fingers trembling slightly as she held it.

Just as she was about to drink, Henry spoke in a calm voice, "That's enough!"

Everyone was surprised.

Henry stood up from the sofa, grabbed Grace's slender wrist with one hand, and took the glass of red wine from her with the other. He looked at Felix, displeased, "I'll drink the last glass for my wife!"

He tilted his head back and drank the red wine, then left with Grace.

The room fell silent. No one was foolish; everyone could see that Felix had offended Henry!

After a while, Frank patted Felix on the back, remarking, "Misjudged, didn't you? Even I didn't expect Henry to step in! But think about it, if he truly didn't care, he would have divorced when the Windsor family fell. They've been holding on for over a year now!"

Felix leaned back in his chair, covering his eyes with his hand. He felt very uneasy; it was something he hadn't anticipated.
