Chapter 210 Grace, You Know Too Little About Him
Thalia slipped into a silk nightgown, her curvy body wrapped up tight. She leaned against the headboard, lit a cigarette, and got straight to the point. "Frank, I have needs too as a woman. You haven't touched me in years. I had to find my own way. I've only been with one guy, compared to your wild nights out, I'm practically a saint."
While Frank was busy fiddling with his phone, he heard her words and chuckled, saying, "Well, at least I didn't bring anyone back home!""Well, at least I didn't bring anyone home!"
Thalia was about to snap back when Frank suddenly pulled out a stack of photos from his pocket, tossing them onto the bed one by one.
He sneered at her. "Check out these spicy pics of yours! Each one with a different guy. If it weren't for these, I wouldn't have known Mrs. Cavendish had such a wild side."
Thalia picked up the photos, her face going pale as she looked through them.
When she finally snapped out of it, she started begging. "Frank, I was just so lonely! Don't let my dad see these, he'd kill me."
Frank had been making her life hell for years, never showing any mercy. Thalia was scared he wouldn't let it go, so she crawled to the foot of the bed, hugging his leg, trying to seduce him into making up.
Her face pressed against his thigh, her voice soft. "Frank, let's make up, okay? Forget the past, let's start over. I'll be a good Mrs. Cavendish, no more other guys! Just love me!"
"I will never love you!" Frank shoved her away, cold as ice. "Let's get a divorce!"
Thalia was shocked.
For years, no matter how bad things got, no matter what she did, even when she was pregnant with another man's kid, Frank never mentioned divorce. But now he did.
Thalia quickly figured out why.
She laughed, tears streaming down her face. "It's Juniper, isn't it? You're kicking me out because she's a rich widow now and you want her back, right? Frank, you're dreaming! You think Juniper will forgive you? She's loaded now, she can have any guy she wants!"
Frank sneered, "What happens between her and me is none of your business!"
His voice turned icy as he continued, "Don't think I'm trying to control you with these photos! Thalia, listen up, if you don't sign the papers in a week, I'll ruin the whole Green family."
Thalia was shaking. "Frank, you're too cruel!"
The Green family was already in shambles because of him. He still wasn't satisfied!
Frank picked up one of the racy photos, brushing it against her face, his smile even colder. "You realized too late! You should never have messed with her!"
Thalia wanted to curse Juniper, but a slap landed hard on her face!
Frank leaned in close, speaking softly, "You still think it's the same as before?! If I hear you trash-talking her again, I'll kick you to the curb. Anyone with $20 can have you!"
"Frank!" Thalia lay on the bed, trembling, regretting she ever provoked this devil.
Frank dragged her down and threw her on the floor.
He loosened his tie, gave her one last look, and then bolted downstairs. After a bit, his voice echoed from the stairwell. "I'm tearing this place down and putting up a park. Pack your stuff and be out by tonight!"
Halfway down the stairs, Frank felt a bit dazed.
Turned out, he hadn't divorced her before because his hate had become the thing keeping him going. But now, Juniper was coming back.
Frank closed his eyes for a moment; Juniper was coming back.
Meanwhile, in the restaurant bathroom, Grace was still feeling down after talking to Frank about Brent.
It wasn't just about Juniper; she was tight with Brent too. He was generous and kind to his friends. When she heard about his plane crash, she was in shock for a long time, refusing to believe it.
Grace felt a lump in her throat, her eyes welling up with tears.
Just then, Owen called, saying he was in the parking lot. He casually asked about the meeting.
Grace said softly, "We just talked a bit. I don't think he's over Juniper, but I made it clear to him. We'll talk more when we meet."
They exchanged a few more words and hung up.
Grace washed her face and, while drying it with a tissue, she caught a glimpse of someone in the mirror—Sierra!
Sierra was decked out in a designer suit, looking all high and mighty. After getting fired by Henry, she went to a rival company and became a PR manager. After a few years, she was no longer the naive girl she used to be.
In the mirror, Sierra glared at Grace with resentment.
Sierra's voice was dripping with sarcasm. "Mrs. Montague. Oh wait, I shouldn't call you that anymore! You and Mr. Montague are divorced. Was that your new boyfriend on the phone? You really know how to keep those top-notch guys wrapped around your finger, and you enjoy their attention without a care."
Grace had no love for Sierra. In fact, she harbored disdain for anyone associated with the Williams family.
Facing Sierra's sarcasm, she smiled faintly. "Ms. Williams, still can't let go? If you're not happy, you're barking up the wrong tree. You should be going after Esme; she's Henry's girlfriend now, and Henry and I have moved on, each with our own lives."
"Moved on? Each with our own lives?" Sierra gritted her teeth, spitting out the words.
Seeing Grace's calm demeanor, she suddenly laughed, tears streaming down her face. She even said in a voice filled with grief and indignation, "Grace, you don't deserve Mr. Montague's love!"
Grace lowered her eyes, gently wiping her hands.
'Really? Did I ever have Henry's love?' she thought.
Last night, Henry told her their agreement was just a joke, that they never loved each other, he just felt guilty towards her.
Grace didn't want to argue with Sierra anymore.
But clearly, Sierra wasn't done. She shouted behind Grace, refusing to let it go, "Do you really think Mr. Montague will love someone else? Do you really think he will leave his child to be with someone else? Grace, you know too little about him, your love for him is too shallow, what right do you have to receive his love?"
"You don't deserve it! Not at all!" Sierra added, all yelling.
Grace's body froze, she slowly turned around. "What do you mean?"
