Chapter 753 Molly Is Pregnant 1
By late October, when autumn burned brightest, nearly a year had passed.
Molly's latest film, Endless Echoes, had become a box office hit and earned her a nomination for Best Actress. On the night of the awards, the entire Windsor family turned out to cheer her on.
Serafina, worried she might be feeling the pressure, kept reassuring her. "It's fine if you don't win this time. There's always next year."
Molly was touched. Serafina had only just finished her postnatal recovery, yet here she was, dressed up and smiling in the audience.
Molly glanced at Elliot and murmured, "Serafina, I already have the greatest prize in my life."
Even quiet, composed Serafina laughed at that. "You've definitely become livelier since being with Elliot. Jacob thinks it's wonderful — he's always praising him for taking such good care of you."
Molly ducked her head, embarrassed, and the two women leaned in to whisper to each other.
Diana appeared beside them, pressing a wrapped candy into Molly's hand. "You're always dieting for your roles. Have one now — just in case you win and your blood sugar crashes."
It was a piece of milk toffee. Molly unwrapped it and let the sweetness melt on her tongue.
Diana grinned. "I'm telling you, it's definitely you. None of the other nominees are half as stunning."
Elliot shot Diana a sidelong look. "This isn't about looks. If it were, there'd be no contest."
Diana clutched her chest theatrically, struck by the force of their affection.
The announcement for Best Actor came next. The winner was Blake, though he wasn't in the country. The director of his film accepted on his behalf and, during the speech, made a point of mentioning Molly. Within minutes, clips of the moment were everywhere, reigniting the Blake-and-Molly shippers — all 1.02 million of them.
Elliot had never tried to shut them down. He just gave a wry smile and let it slide. Respecting Molly's career — that was his rule.
Then came the Best Actress category. Molly's heart raced. She told herself she wasn't fixated on winning, but she still hoped for it — hoped to be worthy of Elliot, and of the family she had married into.
The host scanned the room, then smiled. "And the award goes to… the leading actress of Endless Echoes, Molly! Four years of dedication have brought her here. Congratulations to our Molly, who has found great success in both love and film. And tonight, presenting the award is none other than the CEO of the Windsor Group, Mr. Jacob Windsor. Mr. Windsor, may I ask — how is Molly on the big screen different from Molly in real life?"
Jacob stepped forward, offering his hand to help Molly up the stairs. He was all warmth and courtesy.
Looking at her, he smiled. "On screen, Molly is captivating. In real life… I think Elliot could answer that better. After all, they've been in love for six years and living together for half a year now. But I can ask for the fans — Molly, are you happy with your husband?"
Molly's cheeks flushed. She leaned toward the microphone and said clearly, "I'm very happy. And so is Elliot."
Laughter rippled through the audience.
Elliot's gaze never left her, his eyes soft and steady.
Jacob clapped his hands lightly. "That's what matters. But if you're ever unhappy, you can always tell me or Dad."
Molly's eyes shimmered. She accepted the trophy from Jacob and let him pull her into a brief hug.
Quietly, he said, "Molly, the whole family is proud of you."
Holding the award, Molly turned to find Elliot in the crowd. Her voice trembled with emotion. "I'll keep working hard."
Elliot had once promised her a home. Now she had one — complete and unshakable. She had her own world, and behind her, the world Elliot had built for her. He stayed in his seat, never stepping onto the stage, leaving every moment in the spotlight to her. This was her achievement, and his pride.
But as Molly made her way down the steps, her vision swam. She collapsed before she reached the floor.
The room erupted into chaos.
Diana clutched her head. "But I gave her candy! Don't tell me it was expired?"
That night, at the Montague Group Hospital, the lights burned bright.
When Taylor emerged from a consultation with an obstetrician, the Windsor family crowded around.
"Well?" someone asked.
Taylor's smile broke wide. "Congratulations, Elliot and Molly. You're going to be parents."
