Chapter 257 Reliving a Love That Never Was

The car window had a few tiny snowflakes stuck to it.

Grace watched quietly and let out a soft sigh. "It's been snowing all winter."

Her voice was so soft, it was almost a whisper.

But Henry still caught it. Keeping his eyes on the road, he replied just as softly, "Yeah, it has. Grace, do you think we've walked all the paths we missed before and found the love we never had?"

He glanced over at her after he spoke.

A car zoomed by, its headlights lighting up Henry's face, showing his gentle expression. He looked more mature now, exuding a charm that hadn't been present before.

Henry had been rough with Grace back in the day. He also had been crazy in love with her, wanting to own her.

But now, his love for Grace was calmer. It wasn't that his love had faded; it had just deepened over time.

Henry had become more patient, maybe because he knew Grace loved him and that he was irreplaceable in her heart.

Grace didn't respond, and he didn't mind. He just kept driving. About 20 minutes later, he pulled up in front of a well-known club.

After parking, Henry unbuckled his seatbelt and said softly, "They're all people we know! Just stick with me."

Grace gave a faint smile.

Getting out of the car, Henry gently supported her waist with one hand and held her coat with the other. They looked like a couple who'd been married for years, and their good looks caught the club manager's eye as soon as they walked in.

The manager hurried over, all eager. "Mr. Montague, great to see you! Mr. Rodriguez and the others are warming up. It's the perfect time for you and Mrs. Montague to join the fun!"

Henry checked the time and chuckled, "Yeah, definitely a perfect time."

The manager led them to the third floor.

The whole third floor had just one huge private room, and when they opened the door, it was super fancy. To Grace's surprise, this college reunion was also Felix's bachelor party.

In three days, he was getting married.

When Henry and Grace walked in, the room went quiet for a moment, partly because Henry was the most successful in business, and partly because of his legendary marriage with Grace.

When Henry got married, he didn't throw a big party, so many people here had never met Grace.

Later, they heard they had divorced. But here they were, years later, still together. It was a shock.

Felix stood in the lavish room, quietly watching Henry and Grace at the door. Even after all these years, seeing Grace still stirred something in him.

But she always loved Henry.

Henry led Grace into the room. He grabbed two glasses of champagne from a waiter and handed one to Grace. Then he naturally mingled with his old classmates. Grace, playing along, stood by his side, looking gentle.

And everyone knew Grace had founded the Serene Petal Dining brand, now worth billions and even eyeing an IPO.

No one underestimated her anymore. She wasn't just Henry's gentle wife; she was a powerhouse in her own right.

One of Henry's classmates reached out to Grace, greeting, "I'm Eric Murphy, an old friend of Henry's."

This introduction was a sign of respect for Grace.

Grace shook his hand confidently. "I'm Grace!"

The crowd started to cheer. Unlike the refined Eric, they wanted to drink with Grace. They weren't like the business crowd; Henry's words didn't hold much sway here.

Grace ended up drinking a couple of glasses.

Eric shooed the crowd away, joking, "Henry's gonna be heartbroken later! He'll get back at you guys."

Everyone laughed.

At that moment, Felix stepped out from the crowd. Even though he was about to get married, there was no joy on his face. His gaze at Grace was intense.

The room quieted down.

Years ago, Felix's obsession with Grace was a big deal. His infatuation was so intense that the Rodriguez family had to send him abroad.

Someone pulled Felix aside, advising him, "Felix, calm down!"

Felix broke free, looked at Grace, and said softly, "Don't worry, I'm very calm. It's been years; I've long been calm."

But he knew deep down, it wasn't time that calmed him, but Grace's indifference.

She never really paid him any mind.

Otherwise, why would people come and go in Grace's life, yet Felix never found a place by her side? Over the years, he chased her relentlessly, but she always turned him down, treating him with indifference.

She told him, "Felix, there's no chance for us."

And she meant it.

Felix was about to get married, and soon she'd be Mrs. Montague again. They both had their own lives now.

Felix gave a bitter smile.

He placed three glasses on the small bar and filled them with champagne. Under the light, he looked at Grace and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "In the past, I made things tough for you and even made you drink three glasses of wine. Today, I'll drink three myself as a way to make up for it. After this, we're done. I wish you and Henry a happy marriage!"

For someone about to get married, saying such unexpected words left everyone silent.

Even Henry spoke up, "Felix, forget it. That's all in the past."

But Felix picked up a wine glass and drank it in one gulp. As the liquid slid down his throat, he said, "It's not in the past. It's now. Henry, I still like your wife."

Everyone was stunned, thinking, 'Felix is really brave! How can he say that?'

Henry was also taken aback. Just as he was about to speak, Grace picked up a glass of champagne. She looked at Felix's reddened eyes and said softly, "Thank you, Felix, but my heart belongs to someone else. Felix, I hope you find happiness too."

After saying that, she drank the entire glass of champagne.

Felix's eyes turned red. He knew that Grace had never liked him. She didn't even bother to use him. He was insignificant in her life, but she still gave him dignity. What else couldn't he let go of?

The atmosphere became lively again. Grace looked at Henry beside her, and he was gazing at her deeply.

Grace murmured, "Let's go!"

Others protested, but Henry knew Grace was a bit drunk. The champagne she drank earlier was quite strong, and she usually couldn't handle even one glass. To avoid losing composure, they decided to left early.

Henry wrapped his arm around her waist and said goodbye to everyone.

Originally, they wouldn't have been allowed to leave, but seeing Felix like that, it was better for them to go.

That night, Felix drank himself into a stupor.

Henry took Grace downstairs.

Once in the car, she was already half-drunk and softly murmured, "Henry, take me home."

Henry gazed at her intently.

Grace leaned against the seat, her wool dress clinging to her body, accentuating her delicate curves. Her exquisite face was flushed, her starry eyes half-closed, and her red lips slightly parted. She looked both sexy and womanly.

Henry couldn't help but lean over and kiss her red lips.

Their lips and tongues intertwined, filled with the rich aroma of champagne and Grace's warmth. The kiss deepened, intensifying until she couldn't resist any longer, gripping his neck as soft, pleading whispers escaped her lips, "Henry! Stop."

Henry paused slightly, pressing his forehead against hers, and asked in a low voice, "Then how about this?"

With that, he lifted her body and, through her clothes, directly...

Grace resisted fiercely, but perhaps due to the alcohol or because she had feelings for him, and also because women have sexual needs.

After a while, she stopped struggling and quietly looked at him, her eyes filled with desire.

Even though she was drunk, her feminine modesty remained. She silently watched him please her. When he did well, she wrapped her arms around his neck and called his name in his ear, unable to bear it. "Henry, Henry."

They had never been this wild.

They were still in the indoor parking lot, but they couldn't wait any longer. The alcohol played a part, but it was mostly the irresistible pull between them.

Henry pressed a button, and the car windows darkened, ensuring no one could see inside.

He pulled Grace onto his lap, everything was urgent, impatient. Grace's stockings were even only half-removed, hanging seductively on her ankle as they deeply connected.

Henry's belt buckle pressed against her waist and abdomen, causing pain.

Grace clung to him, her voice hoarse and unbearable, complaining about the pain. Henry's face was flushed as he pressed against her, looking down and then gently loosening the belt.

The luxurious car swayed rhythmically.
