Chapter 30 Room 6202, A Ridiculous Night

Grace had a simple plan: cure Nathan, get Oliver out of jail, and start fresh with her family.

But life had other ideas. And Henry? He was making everything worse.

That night, while she was performing at the Azure Palace Hotel, she got a call from Juniper. Juniper sounded frantic. "Grace, get to the hospital now! Something's wrong!"

Grace's heart skipped a beat. "What happened?"

Juniper hesitated, then said softly, "Clara and Elodie fought. It got loud. The police are involved, Grace. Clara might be taken away."

The phone slipped from Grace's hand.

Frank ended up driving her to the hospital. Luckily, it wasn't far, and they got there in under half an hour.

But Grace was too late. By the time she arrived, Clara was already gone.

The place was a mess, with the Williams family all there. Elodie's mom, Rebecca Wallace, was holding Elodie's burned arm, crying and yelling that Elodie's beauty was ruined and demanding Clara be jailed.

Elodie's dad, Calvin Williams, stood silently nearby.

What shocked Grace the most was seeing Henry there, with Celeste by his side.

As soon as Henry arrived, Elodie threw herself into his arms, looking all fragile and delicate.

Rebecca amped up the drama, crying, "Her leg was already bad, and now her arm is scarred. How is Elodie supposed to live?"

A nurse reminded, "The wound needs treatment fast, or it'll scar."

Elodie's wheelchair was broken. She tried to move it but couldn't.

Henry bent down to pick Elodie up, aiming to put her on a stretcher. But when he looked up, his eyes met Grace's.

Grace blinked.

She watched her husband tenderly caring for another woman. Clearly, he had chosen his lover over his wife.

Henry looked at her, too.

For a long moment, Grace said nothing.

Suddenly, Henry ditched the stretcher and carried Elodie straight into the elevator. Elodie's arm hurt, but her vanity was satisfied. She nestled her face into Henry's arm and shot Grace a triumphant smile.

People around them whispered.

"How romantic, a princess carry!"

"See, it doesn't matter how beautiful the wife is; true love wins!"

"I bet the guy will definitely get a divorce!"

Reporters were everywhere, and Grace felt like she'd been publicly humiliated.

Seeing Elodie winning, Rebecca wouldn't let it go. She suddenly slapped Grace across the face. "If anything happens to Elodie, I'll make Clara pay with her life!"

Rebecca's slap landed on Grace's cheek.

It didn't hurt much, but it felt like a harsh wake-up call. It made her past feelings seem even more ridiculous and her three years of enduring marriage even more cruel.

Over there, the elevator doors slowly closed, with Henry holding Elodie. His gaze was deep and unreadable.

Grace stood motionless, thinking, 'So this is what it feels like to be unloved.'

Inside the elevator, even Celeste sensed something was off.

No matter what, Grace was still Mrs. Montague, and Rebecca had dared to slap her. Celeste, who knew Henry best, couldn't help but glance at him. His face was expressionless.

Elodie called out sweetly, "Henry!"

Henry glanced at Calvin, who immediately understood and opened his arms to take Elodie. "Let me carry her. I wouldn't dare trouble Mr. Montague."

Elodie, feeling triumphant, was unhappy. "Dad!"

Henry said indifferently, "Alright."

As he let go, whether it was because Calvin didn't catch her properly or not, Elodie fell straight to the ground. The leg that had undergone surgery snapped again with a crack, and the skin on her scalded arm was scraped off, leaving a bloody mess.

Elodie was in so much pain that her forehead was covered in sweat.

Calvin hurriedly picked her up.

Henry looked down, his tone cold. "I have business at the company. I'm leaving."

As the elevator doors opened, he walked out. Celeste quickly followed.

Behind them, Elodie called out coquettishly, "Mr. Montague! Mr. Montague."

Calvin sighed softly as he held Elodie, "Elodie, have we gone too far? You framed Mrs. Montague, and your mother slapped her. What if Mr. Montague doesn't marry you in the future? What will we do?"

Elodie gritted her teeth in anger, biting her lip. "I can't believe I can't win Henry's heart."

Juniper returned from the police station just in time to witness Grace being slapped.

Juniper, known for her fiery temper, disregarded any potential negotiation chips Grace might hold. She swiftly approached and retaliated by slapping Rebecca back, unleashing a torrent of curses, "Who do you think you are to strike Grace? You're nothing! At best, your daughter seduced Henry. Your entire family isn't even worthy to walk in Grace's shoes!"

Rebecca only dared to bully those she perceived as gentle. Juniper's fierce nature proved too much for her to handle, and soon, her face was swollen and unrecognizable from the force of Juniper's slaps!

She screamed that she would sue Juniper.

Juniper kicked her in the ribs. "Go ahead! I'm right here, sue me. If you don't, I'll slap the other side of your face into a pig's head, too!"

Rebecca, emboldened by Henry, still wanted to act tough.

Frank stepped in. He pulled Juniper away and placed her behind him, then casually asked Rebecca, "If I cripple you right now, how many years do you think I'd get?"

Rebecca was terrified, looking at Frank, who had a refined appearance but a menacing aura, especially with a sinister tear mole at the corner of his eye.

She hesitated, and Juniper jumped out again, slapping her twice more. While it felt good to vent, Clara's case had already been filed and couldn't be changed.

Juniper was concerned that Grace might not handle the situation well. To her surprise, Grace remained remarkably calm. After washing her face, she softly thanked Frank. Juniper wished to stay by Grace's side, but Frank forcefully escorted her away.

At Frank's villa.

In the luxurious bedroom, clothes were strewn all over the floor.

Juniper cried bitterly, cursing and crying until she finally said, "Grace's family can't have any more problems. Help her, Frank. I'll even have your child!"

They had a fleeting romance.

Once, in the heat of passion, Frank had grabbed Juniper's chin and told her to have his child. Juniper was only 19 then and refused.

But now she agreed!

Frank wasn't a fool. He stopped and gently touched Juniper's face, asking with a cold smile, "Such a big sacrifice! But are you doing this for Grace or for Oliver?"

Juniper was momentarily stunned. Oliver was her forbidden love.

She thought no one had noticed!

She became angry out of embarrassment. "What does it matter to you who it's for? Frank, are you a man or not? Can you sleep with a woman and make a baby or not?"

Frank sneered as he grabbed her long, wavy hair, forcing her to look up. Pressing his face close to hers, his voice turned dangerous. "Do you truly believe I'm that easy to deceive?"

Juniper's eyes filled with tears from the pain.

Frank's voice softened, whispering in her ear like a lover, "No matter how enticing a woman sounds in bed, I know exactly what she's thinking especially since you were so young when you started with me! You're still too green to play mind games with me, Juniper!"

He tormented her mercilessly. Despite Juniper's tears and screams, her stubbornness burned fiercely within her. She scratched at Frank's arms until they bled, refusing to yield.

She shouted without any reservation, "Fine! Then let's break up. I'll find another man. I don't believe I, Juniper, can't find a man to sleep with. Who do you think you are, Frank?"

The more she shouted, the rougher Frank became.

"Still dare to talk! I really want to kill you!"

Throughout the night, Juniper's voice never ceased. The servants in the villa dared not eavesdrop too closely; what little they did catch made their faces flush and hearts quicken. Each time Frank returned with Juniper, it felt like a battle of life and death, a relentless struggle.

Finally, Frank reached his limit. He abruptly withdrew and headed to the bathroom for a shower. Upon his return, Juniper remained steadfastly in place.

She was wearing one of his shirts, with only a couple of buttons done up, exposing her long legs as she leaned against the headboard, smoking a cigarette, looking seductive.

Frank chuckled, "Crying like that just now, and still daring to act seductive!"

He took the cigarette from her fingers and took a drag himself. "Women shouldn't smoke! You'd better quit!"

Juniper, for once, didn't talk back.

Frank leaned against the headboard, smoking, while she obediently nestled against his abdomen, tracing circles on his abs with her slender fingers, her voice soft and alluring. "Mr. Cavendish, have you calmed down?"

Frank glanced down at her, chuckling, "The swelling's gone down, but I'm not calm yet!"

Juniper tried to kiss him.

Frank knew her little tricks all too well. It was all for Grace; otherwise, she would have left long ago!

Frank grabbed her long hair with one hand and put out the cigarette with the other.

He said calmly, "No matter what the relationship between Grace and Henry is, she is still Mrs. Montague. That Elodie publicly slapped Grace is like slapping Henry in the face! Henry didn't react at the time because he probably wanted Grace to beg him!"

He then laughed, "She still won't come around, will she?"

Juniper was taken aback. Sitting up, she struggled to comprehend the situation fully. "Are you saying that Henry is intentionally turning a blind eye to it?"

Frank contemplated burning her with the cigarette. Hastily, he got out of bed and dressed, securing his belt as he spoke, "Grace is aware of it as well! Henry's ruthlessness knows no bounds in this regard!"

He looked at Juniper. "If you're tired, stay here and sleep for the night!"

Juniper promptly rose to her feet. She swiftly changed into her clothes in front of Frank and, as she departed, casually slung an arm over his shoulder, remarking, "I never stay overnight at a sugar daddy's residence!"

No matter how seductive she sounded, Frank saw right through her.

He grabbed her chin, scrutinizing her. "You've been soiled so many times. Even if Oliver gets out of jail, he probably won't want you!"

Juniper felt a stab of pain.

No one knew that she had been molested as a teenager, a shadow that haunted her for life.

She had never been worthy of Oliver.

But she laughed carelessly, "Yeah! I'm so dirty that only Mr. Cavendish is a match for me!"

Frank sneered, "You wish!"

Juniper laughed until tears came out.
