Chapter 441 Touch and See How Much I Miss You

Sarah stood still.

They gazed at each other under the neon lights.

Sarah felt like she was staring at a dream, a beautiful dream from her youth that brought tears to her eyes. As she walked towards him, she almost lost her composure.

Their toes were only about 30 inches apart.

They were so close.

Oliver looked at her with tenderness in his eyes, speaking as if he were comforting a little girl, "Still the same crybaby you were in your twenties."

Sarah looked up, her eyes filled with a mix of love and resentment.

Oliver repeated, "Sarah, come home!"

He did not mean his mansion, but her place.

From now on, wherever she lived would be his home.

Maybe she wasn't his.

But he belonged to her.

His body and soul, from this moment on, were entirely hers. He would be loyal to her, as long as she wanted, as long as she was willing to have him.

Oliver's heart was racing, but his face remained gentle, like a dignified man in a happy marriage.

He draped his suit jacket over her shoulders.

He held Nicole, letting her rest her head on his shoulder, while gently wrapping an arm around Jacob's shoulder. After all these years, he finally looked like a competent father, taking care of his two children.

At this moment, there were no painful memories between them, no Moore family, Nicholas, or Electra. There were just them—them and their adorable children.

It was about an hour's walk to her apartment.

Half an hour later, Nicole fell asleep on Oliver's shoulder. Sarah took off the jacket and draped it over Nicole, unable to resist touching her soft little cheeks.

The city lights shimmered.

Oliver looked down at her, his eyes filled with tenderness and a hint of desire.

Four years without a woman by his side, how could he not want her?

The stars guided their way, the neon lights paved their path.

They finally arrived at Sarah's apartment at 10 PM. She didn't disturb the housekeeper, asking Oliver to carry Nicole into her bedroom.

Her place was always elegant, with subtle decorations.

Oliver laid Nicole on the bed.

He was used to taking care of Nicole, removing the jacket and folding her little dress by the pillow. Her big head and small body looked adorable. Jacob ran to his room and brought a sea-blue shirt. "This is for Nicole to wear to sleep."

Oliver couldn't help but praise him.

Oliver dressed Nicole in the pajamas, while Jacob watched eagerly. He thought Nicole looked like a cute little doll, with her soft, slightly curly hair, pampered and precious.

He softly asked his dad, "Can Nicole stay here forever?"

Under the crystal chandelier, Oliver looked at Sarah, his eyes showing a hint of charm. But when he spoke to Jacob, he was serious, "That depends on your mom! If she agrees to remarry me, I'll move in with Nicole tomorrow."

Jacob smiled shyly.

He leaned on the bed, unable to resist touching her curly hair, thinking she really looked like a little doll.

Sarah went to the kitchen to make Oliver a cup of tea.

While making the tea,

She couldn't help but think that once he finished the tea, he should leave. They were ex-spouses now, and it was inappropriate for him to stay here so late.

She was still thinking when Oliver hugged her.

With a soft sound, the kitchen door was gently closed.

"Oliver, what are you doing?"

The tea was still brewing, making a bubbling sound that drowned out her soft protests.

Her slender back and waist, Oliver couldn't help but turn her around and press her against him. Their bodies had been apart for four years, and now, with only thin clothes between them, how could they not feel something?

Oliver's blue eyes were deep.

He couldn't resist lowering his head to kiss her.

Sarah trembled in his arms, feeling both vulnerable and overwhelmed.

She hadn't forgotten that he had a girlfriend now.

Oliver pressed against her ear, softly asking how she had been these years and if she had been with other men. His questions grew more intimate, eventually becoming downright indecent.

Sarah naturally refused to answer.

Oliver's Adam's apple moved, his gaze unfathomable.

At that moment, his phone rang in his pocket. It was Electra calling.

Electra's voice was tearful, "Oliver, save me! Someone's trying to kill me!"

In the narrow kitchen,

The light was warm, and the atmosphere was truly intimate.

Oliver wished he could strangle Electra, but she was his sister. He stared at Sarah while asking the person on the phone, "Who dares to do that?"

After a while, Electra cautiously revealed the name.

Oliver almost crushed his phone.

His voice turned icy, "Of all people, you had to provoke him? Stay put, I'll be right there."

After hanging up, he looked down at Sarah.

In an instant, their bodies cooled, and the urgency from moments ago felt like a ridiculous dream.

Sarah didn't play dumb. She asked directly, "Was that her?"

Oliver nodded lightly.

He could explain now, but he chose not to.

Sarah steadied herself by holding his arm.

She turned away, poured out the brewed tea, and slowly washed the cup. Her voice was cold, "Then go! Come back in the morning to pick up Nicole. Of course, she can stay here a few more days if you want."

Oliver was reluctant to leave.

He adjusted his shirt and belt, leaning close to her ear, "Are you mad?"

Sarah felt humiliated.

She looked down at the cup in her hand, speaking self-mockingly, "No! Let's pretend nothing happened. Go ahead, the girl is crying."

She seemed strong, but she was actually angry and jealous.

How could Oliver not see that?

He couldn't help but hug her, feeling her soft body, whispering, "Sarah, you still like me... don't you?"
