Chapter 326 Where is Jacob?

But Sarah didn't want Oliver to know she was sick, so she fibbed, "Maybe it's just my period. I need to hit the bathroom."

She struggled to get up, feeling neither happy nor sad, like nothing had happened.

That uneasy feeling hit Oliver again, and he grabbed her wrist, "I'll take you to the hospital."

Sarah shook him off, "No need!"

He was rough and a total hypocrite. Why even bother? She walked out without a second thought.

Oliver sat alone on the couch, the private space still filled with the lingering intimate atmosphere.

But he felt an emptiness all around, and in his heart as well.

Oliver's gut feeling was right. On the third day, something happened at home—Jacob was missing.

As soon as he got the call, Oliver rushed back. Zoey, worried he might have an accident while driving, came along.

As soon as Olivia saw him, she was about to kneel before him.

Olivia, wiping her tears, said, "I was playing with Jacob and bumped into someone I knew. I turned around to chat for a second, and then Jacob was gone from the stroller! Mr. Windsor, I swear I didn't leave, it was just for the time it took to say two sentences!"

Olivia, full of guilt and worry, slapped herself hard, blaming herself, 'How dare you not watch Jacob? If something happens to Jacob, you're finished.'

Sarah's eyes filled with tears. She looked at him and said, word by word, "Call Ellie, ask her if she did it."

Oliver frowned, "How could it be her?"

As soon as he finished speaking, a loud slap landed hard on his face.

The hall fell silent instantly, and all the servants were staring at them.

Sarah clutched her shawl tightly, her lips trembling as she questioned Oliver, "If it wasn't her, who else could it be? Oliver, you're the one who slept with her and didn't take responsibility. You're the heartless one. Why is she taking it out on my son?"

Oliver stared at her.

At that moment, Sarah seemed on the verge of breaking down, just one more second and she would completely fall apart.

Oliver took out his phone and dialed Ellie's number.

It connected quickly, and Ellie admitted without hesitation. Her voice was soft, "Yes! I took your precious son. I didn't do anything to him, I just left him in a garbage dump to fend for himself. Whether he survives depends on his luck. If a garbage truck comes by today and scoops him up..."

"You're insane!"

"Yeah, I am insane because you abandoned me, because you wouldn't listen to me."

Oliver took a deep breath and immediately hung up. Before he could speak, Zoey said, "I'll call the relevant departments right now to stop all garbage collection and start a thorough search to find Jacob as quickly as possible."

At 2 PM, it started pouring rain, and it got really hot and humid.

Originally, Oliver had asked Sarah to wait at home for news, but how could Sarah wait? Jacob was her life!

In the pouring rain, Sarah wore a raincoat, her slender arms disregarding the filth as she searched through trash cans, one by one.

But he wasn't there. Sarah pleaded in her mind, 'Please stop raining, Jacob is still out there. He is still a kid, he can't withstand the wind and rain.'

Sarah cried and searched in the torrential rain. "Jacob, can you hear Mommy calling you?"
