Chapter 285 She Still Has Feelings for Me in Her Heart

Celeste was scratching her head. Grace quit her job in the morning, and by evening, she and Henry were already shacking up. That was quick.

Celeste had seen this play out before; she could bet Henry and Grace had hooked up.

Once a couple crossed that line, everything else just fell into place. Moving in, getting hitched—none of it was a shocker.

Celeste didn't waste any time. She picked out a nice apartment from Henry's list of properties. It was super close to the villa, just a ten-minute drive, 1200 square feet, and decked out in luxury.

First thing in the morning, Celeste brought over the keys.

Henry came to the door. He probably just rolled out of bed; his shirt was half-buttoned, with a couple of buttons undone, showing off a bit of his firm chest.

Celeste quickly looked away. She handed him a paper bag and the apartment key card. "Here are some clothes for you. The apartment's been cleaned overnight, and all the furniture's been swapped out for stuff Grace likes," she said.

Henry took them and said casually, "Celeste, you've been with me for about ten years now."

Celeste gave a small smile. "Thanks for remembering, Mr. Montague."

Henry's tone remained cool. "I'll tell finance to give you a twenty percent raise tomorrow."

Celeste felt all her hard work pay off. She beamed. "Thank you, Mr. Montague."

Henry smiled and shut the door.

He had no meetings in the morning and wanted to take Grace to see the apartment, but just as he started talking to her, his phone rang.

It was Oliver.

Henry frowned a bit. He glanced at Grace and stepped outside to take the call.

On the other end, Oliver's voice was icy. "I'm at the villa. Get back here now."

Henry figured Oliver had found out about Grace being back and was coming to get her.

When Grace vanished, Oliver rushed back from Dawnstar. He searched for two whole months. Then, when Sarah had an accident and gave birth early, he had to rush back to Evergreen City. Over the past year, Oliver never stopped looking for Grace.

Henry thought for a moment and said, "I'll be back in half an hour."

He hung up and walked back inside.

Grace was already up, making breakfast in the kitchen. She was in light-colored loungewear, her long hair casually tied up, showing off her slender neck, looking all kinds of lovely in the morning light.

Henry hugged her from behind and kissed her neck. "I have something urgent and can't stay for breakfast. I'll leave the apartment key card and address for you. When you have time, go check it out. I'll help you move in a couple of days."

Grace responded with a soft hum.

Henry kissed her a bit longer, his voice full of gentle concern. "Your leg's still hurting; don't go to the office today."

Grace couldn't help but retort, "It doesn't hurt anymore."

Henry smirked and said, "If it doesn't hurt..."

Grace pushed him away and whispered, "Don't you have something urgent? Hurry up and go."

Henry suddenly pressed her against the kitchen door, capturing her lips in a deep, passionate kiss.

After a long moment, he finally let her go and reluctantly left. Grace's face turned red as she thought, 'I truly like him!'

Oliver didn't go into the villa. His car was parked on the private road, and he stood by it, smoking, waiting for Henry.

Half an hour later, a black Rolls-Royce appeared in the distance, getting closer and closer. It was Henry's car.

When the car arrived, it turned off.

As soon as Henry got out, Oliver lunged at him.

He grabbed Henry by the collar and, in a low voice, demanded, "Why didn't you tell Grace the truth? Henry, you're treating her like a mistress now. You're happy, but what about her?"

Oliver threw a punch, but Henry dodged it.

Henry countered by pinning Oliver against the Range Rover. Holding him down, he retorted, "What else can I do? Tell her the truth and make her relive it? Her nerves are shot. I can't take that risk. I'd rather she thinks we fell in love now. I'd rather she believes Taylor and Avery aren't her kids. As long as she's safe, as long as she's with me, that's enough!"

Oliver's face twitched. He sneered and said, "But Taylor looks more and more like her! One day, she'll figure it out!"

Henry blinked lightly. After a moment, he smiled bitterly. "By then, we'll be married. By then, she'll be completely in love with me, and she'll love the two kids. Oliver, I just need time, just time! Do you understand?"

Of course, Oliver understood. He had seen firsthand how Henry had frantically searched for Grace that year.

He didn't doubt Henry's love for Grace.

Oliver slowly let go and regained his composure. He took out a cigarette and lit it, then looked at Henry. "Are you two a couple now?"

Henry knew what Oliver meant and nodded. "Yes! We're a couple."

Oliver suddenly got angry again. "Henry, did you drug my sister? How could she still fall for you so easily after losing her memory?"

Henry's eyes were deep.

After a moment, he said softly, "No, it's because she still has feelings for me in her heart."

Hearing this, Oliver was stunned for a moment. He couldn't help but think of Sarah, the girl who had lost her mind. Did she still have feelings for him, her husband? Did Sarah's past affections still exist?
