Chapter 266 Besides Love, He Also Felt Guilty

Henry glanced up and told Celeste, "Let HR know to move Neil to the President's Office. He's gonna be your assistant from now on."

Celeste forced a smile. How could she possibly boss Neil around?

Meanwhile, Neil was cramped in a tiny office. The 200-square-foot space was jam-packed with seven or eight other employees, and Neil's desk was shoved into a corner.

He wasn't in great health, and his supervisor wasn't a fan of his.

After the whole Abby incident, and no one knew the real story, the supervisor finally had a reason to get rid of Neil. Once Neil was out, he could put his own relative in the spot.

Before lunch, the supervisor knocked on Neil's desk.

Neil looked up and asked politely, "Need something?"

The supervisor pointed at Neil's stuff and said bluntly, "Pack up and go through the resignation process. You've been here two or three years, right? You'll get compensation."

Neil was shocked. "Did I do something wrong?"

The supervisor sneered, "You know exactly what you did. After that mess with Abby, don't even try to play innocent. You two have really hurt the company's reputation. So, on behalf of the Montague Group, you're fired!"

Neil just sat there, stunned.

Seeing Neil's scared look, the supervisor got even angrier. He grabbed Neil's arm and sneered, "Still hanging around? Think this company is your home? Think Mr. Montague is your son? Well, you're outta here today for sure."

Neil, always a gentleman, had never been treated like this before. He said softly, "Henry is my son."

The supervisor was taken aback.

Then he pointed at Neil and laughed mockingly, "You must be nuts."

Everyone in the office laughed, thinking Neil was crazy.

Just then, there was the sound of footsteps at the door. Shortly after, Celeste and two HR managers appeared.

They walked in with serious looks on their faces. As soon as they entered, they announced, "Starting now, Neil is officially moving to the President's Office."

Neil was surprised. "I'm fine here."

Celeste stepped forward and said gently, "It's Mr. Montague's decision. He said he feels better with you around."

Neil sighed, "I've said it before, I want a simple life. Henry is so..."

There wasn't much on Neil's desk, and Celeste took it upon herself to pack his belongings. This kind of attention was unheard of in the company because Celeste only served Henry, and even the higher-ups didn't dare to order her around.

They whispered among themselves, guessing Neil was related to Henry.

Celeste overheard and frowned. "What nonsense are you talking about? This is Mr. Montague's father, the former CEO!"

Everyone was stunned.

The supervisor fainted on the spot, and from then on, the whole group knew that Neil, who handled the mail, was Henry's father.

In the following days, Henry was busy with a case, constantly on the move, but the police had no leads.

Before they knew it, it was Saturday, the day of Taylor's school event. At 8 AM, Henry personally went to pick up Grace and Taylor. He hadn't seen them for several days, and the two kids missed him a lot.

Henry hugged them one by one.

Finally, he lifted Avery and said with a smile, "You've gotten heavier."

Taylor snuggled up to Henry and whispered, "Avery's been eating well lately."

Henry patted her little head and Taylor beamed with joy.

She clung to Henry, staying close to him. When Grace came downstairs, she saw the sweet scene of the three of them together. It would be a lie to say she wasn't moved.

She still had feelings for Henry. She thought, 'Screw it, enough with holding back, life goes on.'

Henry looked up and saw her.

Today, for Taylor's school event, Grace had dressed up specially. She wore a cream-colored silk dress that highlighted her charm. The back had delicate ties, making it very sexy.

Grace let her golden hair down, covering her tender skin, making her look particularly elegant.

Henry stared at her for a long time. When he finally spoke, his voice was hoarse, "You look beautiful."

Grace smiled faintly, took Taylor's hand, and then crouched down to comfort Avery, "Be good with Clara at home. Mommy will be back by noon."

Avery, being aloof, didn't say anything but gave Grace a kiss.

Grace smiled, got into the car with Taylor, and Henry drove. Taylor was very excited, talking non-stop along the way.

Grace was a good mother, patient and gentle.

Henry drove, occasionally glancing at them through the rearview mirror. When his eyes met Grace's, he would smile faintly, always carrying a hint of flirtation.

Grace almost didn't dare to look at him.

They went to the school event, and Taylor was especially proud. In the whole class, her parents were the most attractive. When Henry and Grace were about to leave, Taylor held Henry's hand and said, "I will eat a lot for lunch."

Henry pinched her little cheek and couldn't help but hug her again. Taylor was chubby.

He was very grateful to have the chance to make amends, to have Grace and the kids back in his life.

Taylor sensed Henry's emotions and gently patted his hair.

Henry kissed her again.

He had two children, but in his heart, Taylor was different! Not only was she his first child, but she was also the one he felt most guilty about. If it weren't for what he did to Grace back then, Taylor wouldn't have gotten sick and suffered so much.

Besides love, he also felt guilt.

Grace watched quietly from the side, her eyes slightly moist.

On the way back, she wanted to ask Henry several times but didn't. Later, when she came to her senses, she realized he had driven to the villa's underground parking lot.

Grace didn't think much of it and asked softly, "Aren't you going to the office?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Henry unbuckled his seatbelt, pulled her close, and kissed her deeply. As he kissed and touched her, Grace moaned softly. He pressed his lips to hers, his voice trembling as he said, "Your period is over, I can feel it."

Grace felt ashamed. She pushed against Henry and whispered, "You were just looking so sad, and now you're..."

"I want to make love with you. Grace, give it to me!" Henry's tone was pleading, but his actions were decisive. As he spoke, he moved Grace to the back seat, and soon, her silk dress was on the floor.

Henry adored her body, and when the time was right, he intimately connected with her.

The black Bentley rocked rhythmically.

Grace was a bit annoyed. She caressed his handsome face and murmured, "What's wrong with you now? Why do you like doing it in the car?"

"I couldn't wait." Henry was a bit embarrassed. He didn't tell her that when he saw her in that dress today, he wanted to do this.

Though he didn't say it, Grace could guess. She called him a beast.

Henry grabbed her hands and pinned them to the sides. His blue eyes were filled with desire as he whipsered, "When a man wants it, he's worse than a beast. No man is an exception."

That look made Grace tremble.

After that, they didn't speak, focusing on enjoying each other's bodies. Maybe it was because no one disturbed them, or maybe the place was too exciting, but Henry went three rounds. Towards the end, he got a bit rough, but he knew Grace wasn't in pain. In fact, she was very comfortable.

Afterwards, Grace picked up her dress and kicked Henry.

Henry laughed softly. Perhaps because a man is in a good mood after being satisfied, he patiently coaxed her, then went upstairs to get her clothes.

Henry went upstairs quietly because Grace was shy and preferred to keep their activities private from the servants.

He got her clothes and was about to go back down when he noticed a newspaper on the table. It was news from Frostgate, and a picture displayed plum blossoms adorning a graffiti-covered wall. Those plum blossoms looked so familiar.

Henry thought for a long time, then suddenly ran downstairs to the underground parking lot. "Grace! Grace!"

But as soon as he got down, he saw Grace driving the black Bentley out of the exit.
