Chapter 297 If This Continues, Mrs. Windsor Will Die

Zoey was totally caught off guard.

She thought, 'Wait, didn't Oliver divorce Sarah? And wasn't he just making out with Ellie? Why's he thinking about Sarah again?'

But Zoey, with all her work experience, could still figure out what Oliver was up to.

Sure, Oliver was divorced, but deep down, Sarah was still his girl, so he kept supporting her.

Zoey gently reminded him, "Mr. Windsor, your divorce with Mrs. Windsor is finalized. The papers are with the lawyer. I'll bring them to you later."

Oliver shot her a displeased look.

Zoey quickly lowered her head, "I overstepped."

With that, she left.

In the big office, Oliver was left alone. He thought for a bit and then called the villa at Dawnstar.

Olivia picked up, and as soon as she heard Oliver's voice, she brought up Sarah, "Mrs. Windsor has been locked in her room, not eating or drinking! I'm really worried! Mr. Windsor, could you come over? Maybe if you talk to her, she'll eat."

By the end, Olivia's voice was all choked up; she really felt for Sarah.

Oliver was silent for a moment, then said coldly, "I'm super busy right now, so I won't be coming over. Take good care of her, and tell her I'm not changing my mind. She needs to get it together."

Olivia was really upset.

She usually took care of Sarah and knew Sarah was faking being sick. That was why she had pleaded for Sarah a few days ago, but she hadn't expected Oliver to be so heartless.

Sarah was only 24.

Olivia didn't know what to do. She wanted to say more, but Oliver had already hung up.

Oliver didn't want to change his mind. Sarah had probably been crying all these days, thinking he didn't want her anymore. But after all the crying and fussing, when she got really hungry, she'd eat.

During the New Year, he'd take Jacob to see her. Seeing Jacob might cheer her up a bit.

In the evening, Oliver went back to his villa.

As he got out of the car, he saw a black Rolls-Royce parked in the driveway. He recognized it as Grace's car.

Sure enough, when he walked into the hall, Grace was holding Jacob, trying to play with him.

Jacob was being super well-behaved in Grace's arms, looking at her curiously while sucking on his fingers.

Nearby, the nanny was also playing with him, "Jacob is so cute!"

This was supposed to be a happy family scene.

But Oliver felt a sense of emptiness as he watched. He walked to the liquor cabinet, took out a bottle of wine, poured himself a glass, and slowly drank half of it.

Grace turned to look at him and said gently, "Oliver, Jacob still needs his mother."

"I've divorced her," Oliver put down the glass, walked over, and gently touched Jacob's face, saying softly, "Besides, her health isn't good enough to take care of a child. She needs someone to take care of her."

Grace had heard from Zoey that Sarah was still at Dawnstar and was being watched over by Oliver. Clara had asked her to come and persuade him, but it was clear she couldn't.

Grace lowered her eyes, looked at Jacob in her arms, and tried to persuade him a few more times.

Oliver, not wanting to upset her, responded indifferently, "We'll talk about it later."

Grace got the hint and didn't push further. She stayed for dinner, bathed Jacob, and then left.

After Grace left, the nanny, while taking care of Jacob, praised Grace, "Ms. Windsor is so kind and good with children. If Jacob could have a mother like Ms. Windsor in the future, it would be a blessing for him."

She seemed casual but had actually been bribed by Ellie.

Oliver knew it, but he said nothing, as Ellie held some importance in his heart.

At the moment, Ellie was indeed the most suitable to be his wife.

Oliver was heartless towards Sarah, but knowing she refused to eat, he started calling Olivia every day.

Olivia was always worried, "Mrs. Windsor still refuses to eat."

She didn't dare mention asking Oliver to fly to Dawnstar. She needed to keep her job, so she could only try to comfort Sarah as much as possible. Beyond that, she was powerless.

After a few days, Sarah had lost ten pounds.

Olivia cried, "If this continues, Mrs. Windsor will die."

Oliver remained unmoved. He had a doctor come to treat Sarah, and the photos sent over showed Sarah looking frail and emaciated.

On the sixth day, Sarah finally gave in and started eating.

Upon hearing this news, Oliver held his phone, tossing and turning in bed at night, unable to sleep. He wanted to call her.

He wanted to hear Sarah's voice, even if she was crying. Maybe she would beg him to come see her, maybe she would remember that he was her husband, and that she had given him a son.
