Chapter 365 I Can't Tolerate Her
In the evening, Oliver headed out.
Sarah figured he was off to see Ellie. Little did she know, he was actually on his way to the airport to pick up Olivia and Jacob. When the car pulled up downstairs, the servant rushed over to Sarah, excitedly saying, "Mrs. Windsor, great news! Jacob's here."
Sarah was in the middle of reading a book. It slipped from her hands as she bolted out, not even bothering to tidy herself up. She couldn't wait to see Jacob. When she left Vesper City, it was summer, and now the sycamore trees had turned yellow.
She hadn't seen Jacob in ages. As soon as she stepped out of the bedroom, there was Oliver, carrying Jacob into the house.
Jacob looked well taken care of by Olivia, all neat and handsome. He was rocking a thick little sweater Sarah had painstakingly knitted, paired with a dark brown knitted hat, looking like a little gentleman.
Tears welled up in Sarah's eyes as she softly called out, "Jacob!"
Jacob immediately wriggled out of Oliver's arms, toddled over to Sarah, and threw himself into her embrace. He was over a year old now and clearly said, "Mommy."
Sarah hugged him tightly, repeatedly calling his name, burying her face in Jacob's neck, feeling his warm breath.
Oliver watched quietly. Olivia, holding Nicole, kissed her and said, "Nicole's doing great too. When we left Vesper City, she was as tiny as a peanut."
Olivia's tears flowed, but she held back from crying out loud, not wanting to upset Oliver.
Sure enough, Oliver said calmly, "This is a day for family reunion; we should be happy!"
Olivia quickly wiped her tears. She looked at Sarah, and Sarah looked back at her with a gentle smile, "Finally, we're together again!"
Olivia smiled through her tears. She handed Nicole back and rolled up her sleeves, saying, "I'll cook tonight and whip up some hometown dishes for Mrs. Windsor. She's pregnant, so her cravings must be pretty particular and hard to satisfy!"
Oliver joked, "Yeah, she's been giving me a hard time these days."
He looked at Sarah with affection, then glanced at her flat belly, looking forward to the birth of their little daughter.
Sarah just smiled faintly. The colder she was, the more Oliver cherished her, holding her in the palm of his hand.
At night, the servants and kids were all asleep.
Sarah was busy until late before she took a bath and did her skincare routine. As she was applying face cream, Oliver couldn't help but get out of bed. He hugged her and took a deep breath at the back of her neck, his voice hoarse, "You've been at it for a while! Let me help you."
Sarah handed him a bottle of essential oil.
Oliver's hands roamed over her body.
Sarah leaned against him, closing her eyes, looking relaxed.
She spoke to him, "Originally, this apartment was just right for a few people, but now with Olivia and Jacob, I think it's not enough. Olivia has helped me a lot in the past, and I don't want to treat her poorly by making her share a room with someone else. That would be too much."
She opened her eyes and looked at Oliver. Taking the bottle of essential oil from his hand, she continued, "Unless we head back to the country now! Otherwise, with this big family crammed into such a small apartment, if word gets out, who knows how they'll gossip about me not being as favored as Ellie, or how they'll spread rumors about you only loving your mistress!"
Oliver chuckled. He caressed her delicate face, "Didn't I say we wouldn't go see her? But you're right, having such a big family all living together isn't ideal. Tomorrow, let Zoey take you to see the villa. It's been ready for over a month, just waiting for you, the lady of the house, to check it out."
Sarah finally seemed satisfied. She added, "There's a lot to do at home, and we might need more help, but no matter how many people we bring in, I want Olivia to have a say in things."
Oliver turned to look at her from above.
He found Sarah's old-fashioned demeanor quite charming.
When he lowered his head to kiss her, Sarah gently closed her eyes, even parting her lips to let him in. She hadn't been this compliant in a long time.
He remembered when they were newlyweds, she was really obedient. Back then, he could use any position he wanted without hesitation, unlike now, where he had to be cautious and watch her reactions, afraid she would be displeased.
That night, Oliver savored her tenderness.
The next day, Zoey took Sarah to see the new villa.
After the tour, Zoey smiled and said, "The design here was personally overseen by Mr. Windsor. He said it's the style you like."
It was indeed the style Sarah liked.
She wore a beautiful dress and walked gracefully in the garden. She took off her sunglasses and said to Zoey, "I want to ask you for a favor."
Zoey didn't think much of it, "Mrs. Windsor, please tell me what you need."
Sarah played with her sunglasses.
After a moment, she casually said, "I want people from Ellie's side. To be precise, I want to win them over."
Zoey was smart and immediately guessed Sarah's intention. She was shocked, "Mr. Windsor has no romantic relationship with her anymore! Mrs. Windsor, why not wait patiently? When Ellie's health fails, you will naturally be the winner."
"She hasn't had any rejection and she hasn't had uterine cancer either," Sarah smiled faintly, "That's why I can't tolerate her!"
Then she continued, "Zoey, you know who's going to be with Oliver in the end. I have Jacob, and I'm pregnant with another child—a little girl that Oliver is really looking forward to. I'm sure he'll love her a lot. With all this, even if I go a bit overboard, he shouldn't be too upset. Once it's all done, I'll make sure to reward you!"
Zoey was in a dilemma. She knew Sarah was forcing her to take sides.
Zoey hesitated for a long time. Finally, she said, "Okay, I'll help you!"
