Chapter 367 If He Really Cared About Me, He Wouldn't Have Gone to See Hher
In the villa, sprawled on the plush round bed, the heavy breathing finally started to fade. Oliver, still not quite satisfied, held Sarah close, teasing her until she shivered all over.
He pinned her hands above her head onto the soft pillow, his eyes locked onto hers without blinking.
Sarah's long lashes were dotted with glistening tears, trembling slightly, making her look so fragile. Her face was flushed, full of desire.
Oliver kissed and licked from her chin to her earlobe, his voice hoarse, "You look amazing."
Since she got pregnant, except for the occasional reluctance, she was always obedient. It felt different from usual, and Oliver couldn't get enough. He coaxed her again, "One more time, okay?"
Sarah tilted her head back and gently closed her eyes. She trembled as she spoke, "But I'm tired."
He didn't want to stop, still coaxing her, "You don't have to do anything! Sarah, open your eyes, look at me, see how much I love you."
He seemed ready to go again.
Sarah urgently called out, "No, stop."
But she couldn't resist Oliver. In the end, she could only cling tightly to his narrow waist, staring at his handsome face in a daze.
After making love, Sarah was so exhausted that she fell asleep.
Oliver lay beside her, his long fingers playing with her sweat-dampened hair, feeling a satisfaction he had never felt before.
After a moment, he picked up his phone to check it, and the next second he was stunned.
The screen showed a call log with Ellie that lasted 35 minutes, exactly during the time he and Sarah were having sex for the first time. At that time, Sarah was lying on the soft bed, trembling all over from his torment. It must have been then that the phone was accidentally answered.
Oliver stared at the screen for a long time, then looked at the sleeping Sarah. A trace of hesitation crossed his sweat-drenched, handsome face, but in the end, he took the phone to the bathroom and called back.
In the bedroom, Sarah slowly opened her eyes.
She listened to the murmured conversation coming from the bathroom, with a patient coaxing tone.
Sarah listened for a long time, then smiled lightly.
She thought, 'Thank God I didn't buy into his promises. If I had, this marriage would have completely destroyed me.'
The sounds from the bathroom were intermittent, but Sarah didn't care at all.
She didn't expose Oliver. She lay there calmly, and in the bedside table drawer, there was a box of pills she had prepared long ago. Taking one would cause the fetus in her womb to be aborted.
Sarah gently closed her eyes.
On the weekend, Oliver went out.
Ray came over again, and Sarah met him in the garden.
This time, Olivia handed over the coffee, which smelled amazing.
Ray took a sip and said, "I haven't had coffee this good in ages."
Sarah smiled, "It's no big deal."
With a glance from her, Olivia brought over two bags of top-quality coffee beans, smiling as she said, "These are for you."
Ray was flattered. He noticed an expensive Windcrest healing ointment in the bag, a rare find. He held it for a moment before asking, "Mrs. Windsor, how did you know I needed this?"
Sarah said softly, "I heard from Zoey that your wife was burned and suffers from pain and itching every winter. I happened to have this, so I thought I'd give it to you."
Ray was silent for a moment, then said, "Thank you, Mrs. Windsor; your concern means more than money."
He told Sarah everything he knew, "Ms. Johnson was furious after seeing the newspaper. She drank a bottle of strong liquor that night and ended up in the hospital. The next evening, Mr. Windsor visited her and stayed for about three hours."
Hearing his words, Sarah smiled faintly.
Ray cautiously continued, "After Ms. Johnson was discharged, she happily went to buy a pure white custom-made dress. I heard from the servants that the dress cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and she used Mr. Windsor's card."
Ray was afraid Sarah would be upset and stopped talking.
Sarah took a sip of coffee and said indifferently, "He must have made her very happy."
Ray, being a simple man, thought it was just a drama of two women fighting over a man and didn't think deeply. Sarah then said softly, "When she wears that expensive dress, be careful not to let it get dirty."
Ray quickly agreed, then sighed, "Mrs. Windsor, you are truly magnanimous. If Ms. Johnson were half as sensible as you, Mr. Windsor wouldn't be torn between you two."
Sarah just smiled faintly.
After Ray left, Olivia was indignant. "How can a mistress like her attend such high-class gatherings? No, we must tell Mr. Windsor, we can't let her get away with it!"
Sarah said lightly, "Oliver dotes on her. There's no need to tell him."
Olivia was anxious for her. "Mrs. Windsor, your status is not what it used to be! Not only are you pregnant again, but Mr. Windsor also treats you differently now, always accommodating you, clearly caring about you so much."
Sarah took a sip of coffee. "If he really cared about me, he wouldn't have gone to see her."
