Chapter 155 I'm Going Crazy! You're Driving Me Insane!

Juniper tried everything but couldn't meet Grace.

Clara was a mess, crying non-stop.

With no other option, Juniper went to see Frank. The night before, she smoked on her balcony and drank beer.

Drunk, she laughed, cried, and cursed Frank's name.

At Azure Palace Hotel, Frank was in his office, legs up on the desk, stressed from his battle with the Green family.

His secretary, Lucy Young, came in looking uneasy. "Mr. Cavendish, Ms. Davis is here to see you."

'Which Ms. Davis?' Frank thought. He wanted to refuse. "Send her away! If that doesn't work, give her a check and tell her to keep quiet."

Lucy didn't leave but gently said, "It's Juniper."

'Juniper?' Frank was taken aback. He slowly put his legs down and said, "Let her in."

Lucy brought Juniper in and then left to avoid any awkwardness, knowing their history.

The heavy brass door closed with a thud.

Juniper stood at the door, quietly looking at Frank, and he did the same. They stayed silent for a long time.

Frank put away the wine and stubbed out his cigarette. He didn't want to show her his messy side anymore.

Juniper watched him tidy up.

After a while, she softly said, "Frank, I never wanted to reconnect with you. You have a wife, and I don't want to get involved. But I need to see Grace."

Frank looked at Juniper, remembering their past in this office.

Now, in the same place, they were separated by societal norms. If he didn't care, he could have kept her as a mistress, but he couldn't do that.

Frank stared at Juniper for a long time, then asked, "How have you been?"

Juniper said she wasn't well.

She looked at Frank and said, "Grace isn't well, and I can't stay calm! Frank, I know we're done, and you might not help me, but Grace is my only family. For her, I'm willing to beg you! If you want conditions..."

Frank interrupted her, not letting her say those self-deprecating words. He wouldn't let her say them, and he wouldn't let her sleep with him again. They had a child together, and in his heart, she was his wife.

Frank didn't tell her he had a vasectomy. No woman would get pregnant for him again, including Thalia.

He also didn't tell Juniper that one day, he would make Thalia pay, that he would bring her down to avenge their child.

Frank softly said, "I can help you."

Juniper's eyes welled up with tears. She looked down and whispered, "Thank you."

Frank stared at Juniper.

Juniper didn't come closer, and he didn't move either. They spoke from a distance, as if it was safer that way.

When Juniper left, he didn't say goodbye. He just sat there, quietly watching her leave, watching her walk out of the brass door.

With Frank's help, Juniper finally got to see Grace.

Henry only allowed half an hour. Juniper came prepared with baby clothes, toys, and supplements for Grace, filling a whole car.

She had so much to say, but seeing Grace's condition left her speechless.

Grace looked terrible—thin, sickly, nothing like a new mom. Juniper had seen other women after childbirth, all glowing and healthy.

Juniper's heart broke. She touched Grace and asked, "Is he treating you badly? How did you get so thin? Have you seen a doctor?"

Grace, with tears in her eyes, tried to reassure her. "It's just a poor appetite. Everything else is fine. Don't worry about me!"

But Juniper didn't believe her.

Grace didn't want Juniper to fight Henry for her; it would only make things worse.

She showed Taylor to Juniper.

Taylor was well taken care of and looked beautiful. Juniper cried tears of joy. "She looks just like you, Grace!"

Choking up, Juniper played with Taylor. "I bought you some toys. Do you like them?"

Taylor laughed, showing her tiny gums, looking adorable.

Juniper, however, cried silently, hating herself for not being able to take Grace away.

Grace gently hugged Juniper, holding her quietly.

After a while, Grace said softly, "One day, we'll see each other often. Juniper, help me take care of the store. Several stores in other cities are about to open, and you need to handle that. These are our future!"

Juniper shook a toy for Taylor, crying and promising Grace she'd take care of everything.

They talked a bit more before the bodyguard came to take her away.

Juniper cried and cursed Henry, calling him a bastard.

The bodyguard looked troubled. "Ms. Davis!"

Grace wiped Juniper's tears and smiled faintly. "When Henry gets tired of me, he'll let me go."

Juniper, trembling, still left.

After she left, Grace stood in the living room all afternoon, looking towards the courtyard where Juniper had walked.

Grace wanted to leave but knew she couldn't take Taylor with her. Henry wouldn't allow it.

Grace stood until dusk, with the sky full of colorful clouds.

Henry walked in and hugged her from behind, whispering, "Did seeing Juniper make you feel better?"

His hand felt her still-thin body. Henry frowned; after half a month of considerate care, Grace hadn't gained any weight.

Grace didn't speak to Henry. She didn't want to talk to him, but she didn't have the strength to push him away either.

Maybe her long silence angered Henry. He suddenly turned her around, half-holding her and pressing her onto the sofa.

Grace was stunned and finally spoke, "Henry, are you crazy?"

Henry grabbed her chin, staring into her eyes. "Yes! I'm going crazy! Grace, you're driving me insane!"

With that, he started kissing her, kissing her passionately.

Grace resisted, but he reached into her clothes, forcing her to feel something.
