Chapter 253 You Care About Me?

Grace's eyes drifted to his leg.

After a bit, she said softly, "It's snowing; you shouldn't drive yourself. I'll have the driver take you."

Henry's gaze was locked on her. "You care about me?"

He was handsome, and right now, there was a playful glint in his eyes that no woman could resist.

Grace was no exception, but she kept her cool. "I'm just worried something might happen to you! Henry, don't read too much into it."

He knew exactly what was going on.

And he knew Grace loved him!

Henry didn't say much. He just pulled her into the car, holding her close, and then the door shut with a soft click.

Outside, the snow was falling gently, making a soft rustling sound.

Inside the car, it was warm and cozy. The small space was filled with Henry's faint tobacco scent, and Grace found herself pressed against him, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Henry's blue eyes were locked onto hers, and with a press of a button, the seat reclined.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together, and even through their clothes, the movement of the seat made their breathing uneven. They were both adults, and a little friction could easily spark hidden desires, especially since they'd been intimate countless times before.

"Henry, let go of me!" Grace didn't want things to get complicated, so she started to struggle, but Henry's hand gripped her waist, and the more she struggled, the more compromising her position became.

Eventually, she could even feel Henry's physical reaction.

Grace didn't dare to move anymore. She lay in his arms, her voice low, almost with a hint of tears. "Let go of me! Henry, what is this all about?? If the servants see, how can I face them?"

Henry gently caressed her face.

He could feel her trembling under his hand, and he couldn't help but ask in a hoarse voice, "You feel it too, don't you?"

Before she could answer, he captured her lips, kissing her passionately.

Grace resisted, but he kissed her even deeper; his heavy breathing sounded like the best aphrodisiac, enticing her body.

Her coat was unbuttoned and tossed aside.

Her thin wool dress was lifted by his hand. Henry skillfully excited her; he kissed her gently as she whimpered, comforting her.

Grace couldn't take it, she kept murmuring no.

"Grace, I can feel it!" Henry's voice was extremely hoarse. He really wanted to hold her, but he could only satisfy her lightly, making her feel good on the narrow seat.

When it was over, Grace lay limp in his arms, feeling a bit self-loathing, refusing to speak.

Henry gently stroked her back, looking down at her, and said softly, "Do you remember that time at Mrs. Young's party? When I took you back, we kissed like this in the car."

Grace said angrily, "I don't remember!"

Henry didn't mind, he took out a small necklace from his suit pocket, the one he had given her before, and wanted to put it on her.

Grace refused, she took the necklace, looked at it in her palm for a long time, and then handed it back to Henry.

Henry grabbed her hand. "You didn't refuse me just now!"

Grace got up, sat aside, and combed her hair, her expression calm. "It's just a physical response! Henry, I'm not a young girl anymore, I won't care too much about this!"

The car was dimly lit, and Henry's eyes were even more unreadable.

After a while, he said roguishly, "You seemed to enjoy it just now! If you need it, you can always find me, after all, we're quite familiar with each other."

Grace didn't want to be outdone, she said casually, "Alright! Mr. Montague, whenever you need it, we can get in touch."

Henry was annoyed by her, he sneered, "I always need it."

Grace put on her coat and got out of the car.

She held the car door, looking at Henry's handsome profile, and deliberately said, "That's a problem! You should get it treated!"

With that, she called the driver.

From start to finish, she kept her eyes on Henry, and he didn't drive away.

He was just being a rogue, but he respected her wishes. When the driver arrived, he moved the car and said to Grace outside, "Mrs. Montague, I'll be waiting for you!"

Grace glanced at him and turned to leave.

But as she turned, a small piece of the softest part of her heart quietly collapsed.

Inside, Clara asked her, "Did you call the driver?"

Grace thought of what had just happened and felt a bit guilty, she just hummed softly.

Clara, being experienced, could tell at a glance, she just smiled. "I see, independent women are wary of men's clinginess"

Henry returned home, it was already close to ten.

Unexpectedly, there was a shiny luxury car parked in the courtyard, which was Aurora usually used.

Henry looked at it for a while, then walked into the hall.

As expected, Aurora was sitting in the dining room.

The table was set with dishes, all untouched, and Aurora sat quietly in front of it, staring at the food. It was clear that she had been there for a long time.

Hearing footsteps, Aurora looked towards the door.

Handing his coat to a servant and having changed his shoes, Henry approached with an air of indifference, saying, "Why are you here?"

Aurora looked haggard, she didn't answer directly, instead, she asked Henry, "Did you go to Grace's place? How are you two now? Has she forgiven you?"

Henry sat at the head of the table, looking at Aurora with deep eyes.

After a while, he said to the servant, "Reheat the dishes!"

Aurora's expression improved a bit, her voice even choked with emotion. "Henry, are you really willing to have a meal with me?"

The servants came and went, and after they left, Henry said, "It's just a meal."

Though he was cold, Aurora was still very happy.

During the meal, Aurora asked about Grace again. Henry lightly swirled his wine glass, thinking about what had happened in the car earlier. He simply wanted to confirm that Grace still had feelings for him.

If she truly hated him, she wouldn't have let him touch her.

When Henry's fingers moved between them, Grace trembled in his arms, her whole body was soft and wet. He knew her body didn't reject him.

After a while, Henry came back to his senses. "She's still angry."

He didn't want to say more.

Aurora didn't ask further, she just kept trying to make up for it by speaking for Grace. "Women are reserved. Considering what you did to her, it's only natural for her to seek some dignity. Just don't make her sad anymore."

She hesitated for a moment, then said, "Henry, I hope you can be happy for the rest of your life! It was my fault back then."

Under the crystal chandelier, Henry's handsome face was slightly stiff.

After a moment, he smiled faintly, "It's water under the bridge."

Aurora wanted to cry but held back. Although their relationship had improved, there was still some distance between them.

Late at night, she was going back to The Montague Mansion.

Before leaving, she took out two gift boxes and handed them to Henry, asking him to give them to Taylor and Avery.

Henry took them.

Seeing him accept, Aurora breathed a sigh of relief.

When she got into the car, she opened her handbag and took out a delicate box, inside was a jade bracelet she had always wanted to give to Grace; but Grace never accepted it.

Aurora knew Grace would never forgive her.

Grace had been kind enough to her, not sending her to prison, probably out of past sentiments.

Late at night, in the luxury car, Aurora cried out loud.

On the steps, Henry quietly watched the car, which didn't drive away for a long time. He guessed Aurora was probably sad, but he didn't go to comfort her.

Walking back into the house, Henry thought, 'everyone has wounds in their hearts, and these wounds can't be healed by others.'
