Chapter 283 Finally Winning Her Back
Celeste took a deep breath and said, "She lost her memory and doesn't remember she's a Windsor. She feels insecure and thinks she's not good enough for you. Henry, think about how she feels."
Henry nodded and drove to Grace's apartment. He had actually arranged for her to rent that place. It was small, but the neighborhood was safe.
Just then, it started to rain.
Henry parked and was about to get out when he saw Grace walking over from the other side. She wasn't wearing the clothes he had bought for her, still looking plain and simple.
She saw him too, and the paper bag in her hand fell to the ground.
The windshield wipers swung back and forth, blurring their view.
Henry got out of the car without an umbrella and walked straight to her. Looking down at her, he asked gently, "Why did you quit? Did I do something wrong?"
He sounded really humble.
Grace's heart skipped a beat, but she just smiled casually, pretending not to care. "The reason is simple. I stayed with you for a few days and got some benefits. I don't like you, so I left. I'm going to find my husband and child."
She acted like she didn't care, but her eyes were a bit misty.
Henry stared at her and suddenly pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, handing it to her. Grace hesitated and didn't take it.
Henry's voice turned cold. "Why don't you dare to look? If you don't, I'll tell you!"
Grace tried to walk away, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back, hugging her tightly.
Leaning close to her ear, he spoke in a deep, slow voice, "Listen carefully. You don't have a husband and child. You are single; you have no husband!"
Grace was shocked, blinking up at him as the rain poured down on her face and lashes.
Henry cupped her cold face, his voice low. "There's no one else! Besides me, you have no one! Look, your marital status is blank! With me, you don't have to worry about any moral issues. You haven't betrayed anyone."
Grace held the piece of paper, slowly bringing it to her face. After a while, her lips trembled lightly. 'I have no husband,' she thought.
But could she trust Henry? Was he serious about her or just playing around? She didn't have time to ask.
In the rain, Henry gently caressed her face. His gaze was almost stern, but in Grace's eyes, it was incredibly sexy.
Then, he kissed her roughly.
He held her close, looking down at her trembling red lips, and murmured, "Do you really not like me? You're lying! Even when I treated you so badly, you still didn't leave. Why did you stay? Was it really just for the $30,000 salary? Was there really no other reason?"
Grace couldn't answer because they both knew the truth.
She looked up at him, unwilling to admit it.
But Henry kissed her again and again, forcing her to face it. He said a woman's body was the most honest, and he knew she liked him back in Harmony City.
"Why are you torturing me?" Grace couldn't help but ask.
As Celeste had said, for Grace, this affection was more of a painful struggle than sweetness.
Henry held her, shielding her from most of the wind and rain. He kissed her for a long time.
In a voice that could break a woman's heart, he said, "I'm not torturing you. I just want to love you, Grace. I've loved you for a very, very long time."
His voice even carried a hint of pain.
Half an hour later, Henry was inside Grace's small apartment.
He was soaked from the rain. Grace, worried he might catch a cold, told him to take a shower first. She rummaged through her wardrobe but couldn't find suitable clothes. In the end, she could only give him a towel to make do.
Grace's voice was low as she said, "I'll go out and buy you some later."
Henry took the small towel. The tiny bathroom was filled with steamy water vapor, but it couldn't hide his body. Grace didn't dare to look too much and turned to leave.
A strong arm grabbed her. Then, her delicate body was pressed against the wall. The tiles, warmed by the hot water, weren't uncomfortable. Instead, it was Henry's hard body that made her feel uneasy.
Henry leaned in for a kiss, but Grace dodged.
He looked down at her. Originally, he had planned for their first time to be in the villa, but now he couldn't wait. He wanted to truly have her now.
He suddenly picked her up and walked straight to the bedroom, placing her body at the foot of the bed. The soft mattress sank slightly.
Grace's voice trembled as she called out, "Mr. Montague."
Henry gently pulled off her clothes, lowered his body, and kissed her. He kissed her repeatedly while his long fingers removed all obstacles, taking possession of her.
An electric current ran through her body.
Grace's face rubbed against the sheets. She felt both comfortable and scared, and it was unbearable.
She had never known that sex could be so soul-stirring.
Henry held her slender waist, kissing her while continuously possessing her. "You want this! Your body wants me!"
At the peak of passion, Henry couldn't help but let out a groan.
He finally won her back.
