Chapter 618 Serafina, Let's Remarry 1

Serafina hadn't answered yet when Oliver's voice came from outside, nagging Jacob, "Jacob, come on! The private jet's not gonna wait forever!"

That shout shattered the intimate moment.

Jacob had been joking around, but now he let Serafina go, his handsome face serious as he asked, "Are we heading home now?"

Home.

What a beautiful word!

Serafina wanted to say something, but as she looked at the bright sun outside, she suddenly felt that nothing else mattered. Because they were going home.

Two hours later, they arrived at the villa where they used to live.

Returning after a year, Serafina's expression was complex, her emotions a whirlwind.

Jacob looked at her and said softly, "If you don't like it here, we can find another place to live."

Serafina quickly replied, "No, there's nothing wrong with this place."

The servants were busy moving luggage, and Yasmin was holding Abigail, who was happily smiling at the older woman. Yasmin was so delighted that she resisted the urge to kiss Abigail, worried about passing germs to the baby.

Serafina, holding Jacob's arm, walked towards the foyer. After a few steps, Jacob intertwined his fingers with hers.

Serafina was momentarily stunned but didn't pull away.

Oliver and Sarah hadn't followed them inside.

Sarah's eyes were misty as she leaned on Oliver's shoulder, murmuring, "Jacob and Serafina should be very happy together, right?"

Oliver replied, "He better be! If not, I'll knock some sense into him."

Sarah chuckled softly, "At your age, you shouldn't be making such bold statements. The younger ones will just laugh at you."

Oliver looked down at Sarah with deep affection.

At his age?

He and Sarah still had a lifetime ahead of them.

Although Jacob had just been discharged from the hospital and wasn't fully recovered, the Windsor Group had thousands of employees depending on him.

He couldn't afford to take a full three-month rest. As soon as they got home, the company's executives came over, needing Jacob's decisions and mediation. Eventually, about ten people gathered in the study for a meeting.

Anya was in and out, serving tea, water, and coffee.

Serafina was in the master bedroom taking care of Abigail. Although there was a nursery prepared, Jacob insisted that Abigail stay with them until she was two years old. They would decide what to do after that.

Serafina didn't object.

She gently rocked the pink crib, recalling how Jacob once said that if they had a child, a professional team would take care of everything, and she wouldn't need to be hands-on.

But now, it seemed he wanted to raise the child together with her.

Serafina smiled slightly.

She thought of Lila. A month ago, when she visited Lila, Lila had advised her to return to Evergreen City with Jacob, saying that staying in Crystal City with her didn't make much sense. Cherishing her happiness was most important.

Now she was back.

Would Jacob be her lifelong happiness?

Abigail woke up, her big, gem-like eyes curiously looking around. She didn't cry in the unfamiliar environment, mainly because she had been so comfortable and secure since birth.

Abigail kicked her chubby little legs happily.

Serafina changed her diaper, fed her milk, and played with her for a while.

Then a servant knocked on the master bedroom door, "Mrs. Windsor, it's getting late. Shall we prepare dinner?"

Serafina naturally asked, "Where's Jacob? Is the meeting over?"

The servant shook her head, "Not yet! Anya just came down and said it would be at least another two hours. Mr. Windsor is very dedicated to his work."

Serafina checked the time; it was already 6 PM.

Jacob had been in the meeting for three hours, and another two hours would be too much.

He was still a patient!

Serafina thought for a moment, asked the servant to watch Abigail, then grabbed a shawl, Jacob's medication, and a glass of water on a tray, and headed to the study.

In the study on the second floor, the room was filled with smokers and the smell of smoke was overwhelming!

The Windsor Group's executives were in the middle of a heated discussion.

Jacob hadn't said much, knowing that the key to managing subordinates was to have them keep each other in check.

He wouldn't openly favor any side, as that would undermine his authority as a leader.

Amid the intense discussion, there was a knock on the door.

Jacob thought it was a servant and was a bit annoyed. He signaled Anya to check, and she opened the door to find Serafina standing there with a tray.

Anya turned to Jacob. "Mr. Windsor, it's Mrs. Windsor."

Jacob's expression changed noticeably.

As Serafina entered, he waved away the smoke, clearly not wanting her to be upset. Seeing this, the executives quickly put out their cigarettes and opened the windows.

But Serafina still smelled the smoke and coughed a few times.

She frowned but didn't say anything. She handed Jacob the water and helped him with his medication, her tone gentle and calm, "It's time for your medicine. The doctor said three times a day, eight hours apart. By the way, the doctor called to check on you, and I updated him."

She was so gentle that no man could resist her.

If it weren't for the presence of his subordinates, Jacob would have pulled her close for some affection.

But he understood Serafina's intentions; she was worried about him. In the past, he might not have listened, but now he wanted to fulfill her wishes.

So Jacob told the executives to leave and not come back for three days. He said he needed to rest properly, or Serafina would be upset.

After Jacob spoke, the room fell silent. The executives couldn't believe what they were hearing.

Jacob had changed, prioritizing Serafina over the company!

Not feeling well?

Jacob looked fine; he had just smoked a cigarette.

But they didn't dare defy him. Jacob might seem dignified, but he was tough to deal with.

The executives left, whispering among themselves as they went downstairs.

"I thought Mr. Windsor wouldn't fall for a woman, but now he seems very dependent on his wife."

"Didn't he get into that car accident to save her?"

"I never expected his ex-wife to come back! After all that, he's back with his first wife. They even had a child secretly. I heard the baby is adorable, looking like both Mr. Jacob Windsor and Mr. Oliver Windsor. She's the Windsor family's treasure now."

Anya heard these comments as she escorted them out.

She looked at the bright sunset and smiled.

In the study, only Jacob and Serafina remained.

Jacob took his medication and complained about the bitterness, hoping for a kiss.

Serafina, closing the window, said calmly, "I'll get you a piece of candy."

As she moved, Jacob grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her into his lap.

She sat on his lap, looking down at him.

Jacob looked up, his deep eyes focused on her as if he wanted to devour her soul.

Serafina blushed involuntarily.

Jacob's voice was hoarse as he asked, "Do you care about me?"
