Chapter 755 Diana vs Dwayne: Eyes Reddened by Emotion 1

The following August.

Elliot and Molly were hosting a Sip and See party for their newborn. Molly had given birth to a son, named Austin Windsor—a name chosen by Jacob, which Molly adored.

Jacob and Serafina's youngest son was Anthony Windsor.

Austin and Anthony... the next generation of boys in the Windsor family.

But the first child was still Abigail—the family's only little princess so far. She loved trailing after Diana everywhere she went. Abigail was now three and a half, almost ready for preschool.

On the day of Austin's Sip and See party, Diana arrived with Abigail as usual. She hadn't expected to run into someone from the past.

It had truly been years.

Since the day she left the country, they had crossed paths only by chance—never with time to truly meet. She didn't dare count the years, but in her heart she guessed it had been four, maybe five.

Dwayne stood alone, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit. He was tall, composed, and at ease in a room full of Windsor relatives, as if their once-sensational romance had never happened... as if it had left no trace.

Diana's fingers tightened around Abigail's small hand. Her eyes prickled.

Abigail tilted her head up at her. "Aunt Diana, do you like him?"

"No." The answer came quickly.

But Abigail wasn't convinced. She turned her face away with a little frown. "Then why do you keep looking at him? He's handsome, sure, but girls should be reserved."

"Where did you learn that?" Diana asked.

"From Daddy! He always tells Mommy, 'Even if I'm handsome, you can't keep staring at me, Serafina—girls should be reserved.'"

Diana thought to herself, 'Jacob and Serafina are disgustingly in love.'

When she looked again, his eyes held her—calm, unyielding, and impossibly deep.

Dwayne was watching her. She meant to turn away, but his gaze pinned her in place, as if the world had narrowed to just the space between them. She stood frozen as he closed the distance.

Two steps away, he stopped.

His eyes dropped to Abigail. Before he could speak, Diana said, "My daughter."

Abigail blinked. Aunt Diana?

Dwayne's expression was unreadable. Then, without a word, he bent down and gently took Abigail's hand. "I'm Dwayne. You can call me Mr. Larson."

"Mr. Larson," she repeated, her pronunciation still a little clumsy.

Dwayne gave a faint smile, squeezed her hand lightly, then reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small gift. Diana couldn't stop him; she could only watch. Abigail, who had a weakness for handsome men, cupped his face in her little hands and planted a kiss on his cheek.

At that moment, Jacob and Serafina walked over.

Jacob bent down to lift Abigail into his arms. His gaze flicked to Dwayne—surprised, but not entirely.

"Daddy, look! Mr. Larson gave me a present," Abigail announced proudly.

Jacob's brows lifted.

Dwayne's face remained calm.

Diana's cheeks flushed. She mumbled an excuse and slipped away. Jacob glanced at Serafina. "Go check on Diana. Make sure she's not hiding somewhere crying."

Serafina nodded.

Once she was gone, Jacob turned back to Dwayne, his tone direct. "Why are you showing up in front of Diana again?"

Dwayne didn't answer right away. Instead, his voice was quiet. "She's still single."

Jacob's expression hardened. "You know she's single..."
