Chairman Jacob, who hadn't attended any company meetings in nearly two years, was personally present. On both sides of the long conference table sat many Meta Platforms Company executives and core technical staff.
Jacob frowned as he looked at the headlines on his phone about Creator's declaration of war and sighed slightly. Then he chuckled lightly.
'The battle hadn't even begun, and this kid, Elbert, had already attracted a wave of attention! The kid's got some brains,' thought he.
Jacob's fingers tapped the table, the sound echoing in the tense silence. Every eye in the room was fixed on him, waiting for his next move.
"How's your countermeasure research coming along?" Jacob pondered.
The executives, fully aware of the gravity of the situation, were ready to present their findings. This was the first time in two years that Mr. Russell had shown such interest in their work. Cassius, in particular, had put in a sleepless night to perfect the plan.
"Mr. Russell, we've already come up with the first step of the plan! First, we'll block all mentions of Creator and the Gemini app in all our company's products! This includes comments, discussions, shares, ads—everything is banned!" Cassius reported.
"This will limit their information spread by at least 40-50%! But that's just the beginning. We're also looking into their financial backers, their server providers, and their app distribution channels. We're leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to counter their influence."
Jacob nodded slightly, showing no particular reaction.
"Of course, that's just the basics!" Cassius quickly added, his voice filled with determination.
"As a new startup, Creator is definitely backed by investors! Our company is connected with almost all the venture capital firms, and I've already sent someone to investigate. Once we find out, we'll demand they withdraw their investments!
"Cut off all their potential follow-up funding! Additionally, I've also sent people to contact all the server providers. As far as I know, Creator Company doesn't have its own server units! Once we find the source, we'll pull their servers and scatter their data!
"At the same time, I've notified all the app download stores under our company and our strategic partners to completely bury the Gemini app, push it to the bottom of the rankings, or even remove it entirely! We're not just reacting to their moves, and we're taking the fight to them!" Cassius finished speaking, a slight smile appearing on his lips.

Jacob continued, "Meta Platforms Company is a large corporation! In business warfare, we must win with legitimate means. Some gray tactics are acceptable, but illegal methods are absolutely not allowed! This is the bottom line; you must not violate it!"
With that, Jacob turned and walked to the door. He said over his shoulder, "I'm waiting for your good news!"
As soon as Chairman Jacob left, the atmosphere in the conference room instantly relaxed. Cassius and Benjamin were slightly sweating.
After being stunned for a full three minutes, Cassius grabbed a nearby technical director and asked, "Is the 'Soulmate' feature ready?"
The technical director lacked confidence and said, "It's still in testing!"
Cassius felt excited and said, "I'll give you another 24 hours. By tomorrow, the new feature must be online! Today, no programmer is allowed to leave the company; work overnight!"
Gemini app's network maintenance engineer, Walter Bell, was drinking coffee and scrolling through his phone with a few colleagues.
It wasn't a holiday, but the company suddenly gave them the day off! Although the café had soothing music playing, the air conditioning was set just right, and the place was filled with the scent of milk, the atmosphere among them was somewhat stifling.

When they tried typing 'Gemini app in the chat box and clicked send, only a scarlet exclamation mark appeared. And it wasn't just that; even on Meta Platforms Company's games, live streams, news, and other platforms, the words 'Gemini app' had become taboo!
Walter sighed. "Guys, our product has been banned by Meta Platforms Company."
The other programmers were well aware and sighed as well.

Everyone said in unison, "They are Trash!"
"But." A programmer looked a bit confused. "Where is Paul Three? I've been at the company for so long and have never seen him! Besides, even if our algorithm is remarkable, Meta Platforms Company's power..."
He didn't continue. But a cloud of gloom still hung over everyone's hearts!
Walter sighed heavily. "Let's hope for a miracle to happen again!"
