Chapter 354 Eruption
"Warm Winter."
Cold Winter's body shook like she had just lost all her strength. The hand holding the black umbrella trembled, and the umbrella wobbled, almost slipping from her grasp.
"No."
Warm Winter's face was a mix of confusion and fear. Her complexion turned as white as snow, and her low voice gradually escalated into a piercing scream that echoed through the sky.
Despite her small frame, Warm Winter's scream was powerful enough to nearly burst everyone's eardrums.
"This isn't good!" Violet Moon's face turned pale. She rushed forward, grabbing a few Veridiania students who were clutching their ears and kneeling on the ground, and quickly moved them to safety.
In the next moment, the sky darkened, and a mysterious whirlwind formed, centered on the field.
Cold Winter's scream grew louder. She threw away the black umbrella, clutching her hair as if she had lost control. At the same time, a powerful force emanated from her body, surging and overwhelming.
The seven international team members and three Veridiania members present were lifted into the air by the immense force. Violet Moon was terrified. As a member of Dragon Might, she had just reached B-level strength. She used all her power to step into the field, the immense pressure causing blood to trickle from her mouth. Finally, she managed to drag the three Veridiania members out of the battlefield before collapsing from exhaustion.
Meanwhile, Brandon, the international team instructor, sat up straight, his eyes gleaming as he stared at Cold Winter. What a magnificent body! But he made no move to intervene. The international team members floated in the air, their faces contorted in pain, blood streaming from their mouths and eyes.
Their exoskeletons shattered under the immense force, unable to resist. Cold Winter's scream became even more harrowing. She crouched on the ground, clutching her head.
One international team member's arm was torn off, exploding away. The scene grew even more chaotic. The seven international team members in the air were torn apart by the invisible force, their limbs ripped from their bodies, filling the air with a mist of blood.
Arc stood frozen in shock. Suddenly, a figure with a furrowed brow and a glowing purple right eye descended from the sky.
"Idiot!" he shouted, landing beside Arc and delivering a powerful punch that sent Arc flying, crashing into the stands and burying him in debris. The figure then swiftly picked up the unconscious Warm Winter and moved to the center of the field. It was Elbert.
Even Elbert was slightly hindered by the field's force. The wind whipped his long hair, his purple right eye looking particularly eerie. Holding Warm Winter, he approached Cold Winter and softly said, "Cold Winter, Warm Winter is back."
"Warm Winter!" Cold Winter suddenly looked up, her eyes blank and white. She reached out, finally grasping Warm Winter's hand. In the next moment, Cold Winter calmed down, the invisible energy dissipating. The wind stopped, and leaves fell.
The dismembered bodies in the air fell to the ground. In just three minutes, the international team members were completely annihilated.
"Elbert, you're here too!" Cold Winter's eyes glistened with tears as she looked in Elbert's direction with a vacant gaze. Elbert, filled with sorrow, gritted his teeth and said, "I'm sorry, I was careless."
The scene fell silent. The storm had passed, but the tragedy was irreversible. Elbert held Cold Winter's hand and looked at the unconscious Warm Winter, noticing a wound on her neck, the flesh torn and charred by electricity. Arc had struck a vicious blow while taking Warm Winter.
Elbert's anger flared. A few minutes earlier, he had received a warning from Robert Williams in the Lab Graveyard, learning that the international team had returned. He had sensed trouble but arrived too late.
In the distance, the stands exploded as Arc emerged from the rubble, his body stiff from the severe injuries, his electrical powers weakened, revealing his true form—a muscular, tattooed white man. Seeing the situation, Arc gritted his teeth and shouted, "You killed the entire international team! It's all because of you, idiot!"
Elbert set down Warm Winter and charged forward. Arc's face changed, knowing he couldn't match Elbert's strength. But Arc had incredible speed. In a flash, he appeared several meters away. Despite Elbert's extraordinary physique, he was half a second too slow.
"Elbert, stop!" Violet Moon, lying on the ground, shouted anxiously. Killing Arc would escalate the conflict beyond repair. But she relaxed slightly, seeing Arc's speed. Elbert couldn't catch him.
However, Elbert was no longer the same. The second phase of the new human DNA sequence had been 20% completed in the last radiation experiment, increasing his control over liquid metal. Elbert leaped into the air, a black light splitting from his chest to form a support point. He pushed off the black light, shooting forward like a cannonball, closing the distance with Arc.
In the next moment, the black light reappeared, allowing Elbert to change direction mid-air, matching Arc's speed. Violet Moon and the Veridiania members were stunned, unable to see the figures, only the intertwining black and purple lights.
Elbert caught up to Arc, delivering a powerful punch that sent Arc spinning through the air, crashing to the ground, his electrical powers extinguished. Elbert landed heavily, ready to stomp on the barely conscious Arc.
