Chapter 140 An Extraordinary Girlfriend

Walter and Briana finally parted reluctantly after a while. Briana then approached Elbert nervously.

"Mr. Paul, I would like to speak with you alone," she said.

Elbert was taken aback and looked at Walter. Walter chuckled awkwardly, looking at Elbert pleadingly, seemingly understanding that his girlfriend wanted to have a word with his boss.

Elbert led Briana to a secluded spot and looked at her with great interest. She was about 5'3" with a well-proportioned figure, and her face, though not particularly beautiful, had a delicate quality that evoked a protective instinct in men.

Briana rummaged through her handbag and pulled out a business card. "Mr. Paul Three, this is my phone number," she said calmly.

Elbert was slightly stunned. "What is this for?"

Briana's delicate demeanor vanished instantly. "In consideration of you looking after Walter, I have a piece of advice for you. In the next three days, enhance all your security measures."

She paused and then added coldly. "It's best not to leave your home."

This caught Elbert off guard. He hadn't paid much attention to Walter's girlfriend before, but her words were significant. The next three days were exactly when an assassin was supposed to target him.

Elbert quickly reviewed the information about Briana in his mind:

[Briana Hayes, 26 years old. Local from Wavehaven. Ordinary family. Parents are regular workers. Graduated from Binnyburg Medical College three years ago and returned home. Currently a neurologist at Wavehaven Hospital.]

His eyes narrowed slightly.

Binnyburg Medical College had come up three times: the place where Jessica Brown studied, where the assassin Spade 9 was treated, and where Briana graduated.

'It seemed like Binnyburg was a base for human modification abroad, likely related to the mysterious Card Club. Briana must be connected to them as well,' he thought.

Elbert reviewed information on Binnyburg Medical College again.

Everything seemed normal, a century-old institution dedicated to teaching and education.

"Well-disguised," he whispered.

Elbert nodded slightly, deciding a visit was necessary. He smiled faintly and pushed Briana's business card back.

"Walter is a good man, treat him fair," he said.

"Walter?" Briana frowned slightly. "You should be worried about your own safety."

"A mere Spade 9, even if your entire deck of cards comes, don't expect to return intact!" Elbert said sharply, testing her.

Briana's eyelid twitched violently, a small expression instantly captured by Robert.

"Spade 9, Card Club, when you mentioned these terms, her eyelid twitched. According to subconscious psychology, she is familiar with these terms and is extremely shocked. You guessed right, she is connected to the Card Club!" Robert reported.

Briana was stunned for a full minute.

'Who exactly is this Paul Three? He spoke about Spade 9 and the Card Club so casually, as if he knew about the assassination.' Looking at Elbert's all-consuming gaze, Briana knew he was not just an ordinary internet company boss.

"I'm not who you think I am!" Briana said fearfully, quickly shoving the business card into Elbert's hand. "With your status, you will soon understand what I do."

Briana took a few steps back, adding, "Also, you misunderstood my relationship with Walter. I truly love him!"

Elbert smiled lightly. "Of course, I know. Fortunately, you're just a doctor. Otherwise, I will make you disappear by tomorrow!"

Briana shivered instantly, glancing at Elbert in horror before turning to leave. Watching her retreating figure, Elbert crumpled the business card in his hand.

He had figured it out: Briana was working for a human modification organization and was connected to the Card Club.

"Human modification had indeed infiltrated real life." He sighed.

"Robert, keep an eye on her. I want to find her backers."

"Got it."

After seeing off Briana and her mother, Elbert and Walter walked side by side as if nothing had happened.

Elbert sighed slightly. "Walter, your girlfriend is quite something."

"Of course, she's my goddess!" Walter said, full of happiness. "Oh, by the way, boss, are you planning to have me in charge of developing the live streaming feature?"

Elbert smirked. "Of course, villas are very expensive! You need to do more to earn it!"

"Boss, don't worry. I will complete the task. You can give me the villa once I make more achievements," Walter said, patting his chest.

Elbert smiled faintly. "I'm just kidding. If I go back on my word, I'm afraid your Briana will call her friends to deal with me!"

"Boss, don't joke around. Briana is very gentle!"

Walter said seriously, "By the way, boss, you let me handle everything. What will you do?"

Elbert thought for a moment. "Me? I'll handle the publicity for the live streaming!"

Walter was puzzled. 'Publicity? How?'

Soon after, Creator Company took advantage of the celebration party and directly announced the live streaming platform plan to the employees!

"Gemini app Live had two major differences from ordinary live streaming. First, the support of a super algorithm recommendation. Different people get recommended different live content, and with the analysis of the 'Video Master,' the better the content, the more recommendations.

"Second, the trick we will use is subsidies! As long as the live content reaches a superior level, Gemini app will provide subsidies based on the streaming duration, calculated by the minute, up to $100 per minute! Even without tips, streamers can profit!"

After Elbert's eloquent speech, everyone felt extremely excited.

Although Creator's employees were very tired, they were once again filled with enthusiasm!

In their minds, this would be another revolutionary, epoch-making product! It would once again sweep the live streaming market, leaving competitors in shambles!

What surprised Alvin was that after Elbert arranged the work, he told everyone he would disappear for three days—because he had to go home to entertain guests!
