Chapter 469 Finding the Source

In the past day...

The atmosphere at astronomical observatories around the world was tense.

Telescopes spun like tops, constantly rotating.

Countless astronomers and scientists calculated for a long time, ultimately arriving at a despairing conclusion.

The signals received earlier came from outer space.

The frequency was identical to previously intercepted suspected alien signals!

Current technology couldn't track or block it; it didn't seem like human technology!

The warning to humanity was real!

This news quickly shocked the upper echelons of various countries!

The 'Alien Threat Emergency Plan,' long sealed in secrecy, was activated!

National space agencies launched their stockpiled spacecraft one after another, trying to locate the source of the threat in space.

Some hardline countries held War Department meetings, immediately calibrating large-scale weapons, readying for battle.

Countries also began organizing bomb shelters and underground bunkers, stockpiling food and energy, reserving spots for high-ranking officials and societal elites, and preparing for immediate evacuation!

This fear of the unknown began to spread among the upper echelons of various countries.

Even strict lockdowns couldn't stop the spread of the news!

Midnight, 12:00 AM.

World leaders abandoned their differences and gathered via video conference to discuss a response plan.

The leader of Avalonia covered his mouth with his hands and spoke softly, "If anyone has any information, please don't hide it. Share it with us!"

The leader of Lumaria smiled lightly, "I don't think there's anything to be nervous about. This could very well be a prank by some tech enthusiasts. It's not uncommon; it happened in 1999 and 2007!"

"In the end, we cracked the encrypted signals and found out they were from some kids who couldn't even pay their rent!"

Everyone's expressions were serious.

They all hoped this was just another prank!

The leader of Seraphine spoke cautiously, "Our national space agency has done a thorough analysis. This time, it might not be that simple!"

At this moment...

Joshua Thomas, the leader of Eldoria, who had been silent and listening quietly, sat up slightly.

He coughed lightly, drawing everyone's attention.

Though Eldoria's territory wasn't large, it was one of the top ten technological powers in the world, and no one dared to underestimate it.

Joshua gently touched the bandage on the back of his head, reportedly from a horseback riding accident.

Joshua spoke in a deep voice, "If... and I say if, we survive this disaster, I suggest we lift the current technological restrictions!"

"Quantum weapons, micro-reactor engines, alloy combat machines... and other halted technologies, we need to develop them aggressively to defend against advanced civilizations!"

Everyone sighed slightly.

Now wasn't the time to discuss this!

But then, the leader of Seraphine suddenly looked at an elderly man in gray on the screen, "Mr. Smith, has Veridiania found a new Savior?"

The elderly man from Veridiania shook his head slightly.

Everyone frowned again.

Meanwhile, the leader of Victoria, Sterling, was editing a tweet on his phone that read: "Don't panic. Dad's here."

"Mr. Prescott, your Area 53 has always tried to communicate with aliens, possibly even making some deals."

"Can you give us an explanation for this incident?"

A national leader questioned.

Sterling looked up, stroked his chin, and thought for a long time.

Then his eyes brightened, as if he had made a tough decision!

"Our Area 53 has never contacted any living alien beings!"

"But, I know where this threat is coming from!"

Everyone's spirits tightened instantly, all eyes on Sterling!

Sterling gritted his teeth and projected a photo on the screen.

It was a disc-shaped spacecraft stored in Area 53.

Sterling frowned, "This is our nation's top secret, but given the situation, I have to share it."

"Every country here has specialized agencies researching alien civilizations. You should also know that alien relics are beyond our technological capabilities."

Everyone exchanged glances, all silently agreeing.

Sterling took a deep breath and said slowly, "But, there's one person who's an exception."

Another blurry photo appeared on the screen.

It showed someone about to board a UFO, turning their head slightly, with a purple glow in their right eye.

Everyone gasped!

Even Sterling, who was somewhat prepared, couldn't help but twitch at the sight of the photo.

Elbert's "What a coincidence" still echoed in his mind.

Sterling tried to calm his emotions, "I don't need to say who he is, do I?"

The leaders of various countries were present.

Veridiania's cyborg arena and PunisherPaul Five's meteoric rise, shattering an asteroid, were well-known.

Elbert, in the top-secret files of various countries, was known as SaviorPaul Five.

Once, everyone thought Paul Five had perished in the asteroid collision.

"Sterling, what do you mean by this?" Everyone was shocked.

Sterling was sweating but persisted, "This person never follows rules, acts recklessly, and does whatever he wants. I saw with my own eyes, he stole a UFO from our Area 53, and he can pilot it. And that UFO's functions are completely unknown to us; it might even contain world-destroying weapons."

Sterling's voice grew lower, "I can't think of any other possibility. I believe this space threat comes from Paul Five."

The room erupted in chaos!

Sterling observed everyone's expressions, his emotions churning.

He truly suspected Elbert was behind this.

But this incident was no small matter.

He could rally everyone to fight Elbert together.

Sterling knew Elbert was strong.

But could he be stronger than the entire world?

Not necessarily.

Elbert was a deadly threat in Sterling's mind.

Perhaps this was the chance to eliminate Elbert once and for all.

Sterling then suggested quietly, "I propose we unite and attack Punisher Island, forcing Paul Five to show himself."

"He wouldn't do such a thing," the elderly man from Veridiania spoke in a deep voice.

"Yes, the Earth Sage has a heart for the world; he would never harm us," the leader of Evalia said, standing up and adding.

Sterling frowned and looked at the leader of Arcturus, "Wasn't there a Veridiania journalist who reported that your nuclear wastewater leak was caused by aliens? I'm telling you clearly that UFO is the one we lost from Area 53! Now, do you still think it's nonsense? He spilled nuclear wastewater into the city; what do you think his intention was?"

Everyone was stunned again.

More and more, they felt Sterling's deduction was correct.

"Now we face a global threat, and we only have one chance to strike back!" Sterling said, his gaze sweeping over the other countries, "Do you have any other possibilities? Do you have anywhere else to launch your missiles?"

The leaders' faces showed struggle.

But gradually, after ten minutes of contemplation, more and more people nodded slightly at Sterling.

"I disagree!" The elderly man from Veridiania slammed the table, glaring at Sterling.

But Sterling, now determined, replied directly, "Mr. Smith, have you forgotten? Paul Five is stateless, and his Phantom Island is in international waters. You have no right to stop us!"
