Chapter 36 Take a Gamble!
Elbert wasn't driving. He was leisurely strolling along the roadside, heading towards the FutureTech Group. Suddenly, a girl's scream came from across the street.
"Perverts, let me go. I want to go home."
Two girls, both wearing tight jeans and crew-neck T-shirts, ran out from an auto modification shop. But before they could run more than 6 feet, two men grabbed them back and rushed out after them.
Elbert frowned.
'Mary and Susan? What are they doing here?' he thought.
Then, he remembered that this auto modification shop, named 'Velocity Customs,' was one of the underground casinos owned by Black Fox.
'These two girls must have gotten themselves into trouble again.'
Elbert sighed lightly and walked towards Velocity Customs. After he went down the hidden stairs, a nearly ten thousand-square-feet underground casino appeared in front of him. All kinds of gambling equipment were available, somewhat resembling the gambling boats in movies.
In the distance, a crowd was gathered around a gambling table. On one end of the table was an arrogant young man with dyed yellow hair and earrings. At the other end were Mary and Susan, who had just been dragged back.
The young man with yellow hair raised an eyebrow and said, "Ladies, the game isn't over yet; why are you thinking of running away? "
Mary puffed out her chest and pretended to be strong. "What do you mean it isn’t over? We've already lost 6 million; we're broke. Can't we just stop playing?"
Mary deeply regretted it at that moment. She and Susan had planned to spend the 5 million Elbert had given them. Just before a short time, the two girls, on a whim, decided to try their luck at these legendary casinos. They thought that even if they lost, it didn't matter; it was Elbert's money anyway.
Unexpectedly, the two of them, who barely understood gambling, lost the 5 million in less than 20 minutes. They even lost all of their 1 million in savings. Susan, although she had received a huge reward during her livestream, wasn't ready to cash out yet. Now, the two of them were in a tough spot.
"Don't think I don't know who you are. You are the daughters of Alan, the richest man, and it's easy for you to come up with tens of millions. If you don't have money, you can ask your family."
The yellow-haired man pointed to the six cards on the table. "You bet 1 million on this round, and I bet 3 million. Are you going to call or fold?"
"Our allowance is just that much, and we can't let our family know about this." The two girls stood their ground, seemingly ready to play hardball.
"No money? Do you think this is a joke?" The yellow-haired man suddenly gave a sinister smile, his eyes instinctively ogling at the two pretty girls' bodies. "If you don't have money, you can use yourselves to pay off the debt. I've never experienced twins in bed before. You are such beautiful twins.."
The crowd burst into laughter upon hearing this, and their gazes at the two girls were filled with a special meaning.
"How dare you?" The two girls were frightened and tried to struggle but were held down tightly by the men beside them.
"You have five minutes. If you can't come up with the money by then, I'll drag you into a room and strip you naked." The yellow-haired man grinned lewdly.
"I thought it was a big deal, but it's just a few million." A young man in a white shirt walked in slowly from behind the crowd with a calm and light smile.
"Elbert." The two girls exclaimed as if seeing some hope. "Elbert, help us."
"Hey, buddy, trying to play the hero? From the way you talk, are you planning to pay off the debt for these two girls?" The yellow-haired man sneered, looking Elbert up and down. Judging by his outfit, it didn't look like it cost more than a thousand bucks.
"Actually, I didn't really want to come. These two girls are indeed a bit troublesome. But I can't just watch them get bullied by you," Elbert said casually.
The two girls looked very serious, but they had to endure it; Elbert was their only hope now.
"Elbert, can you help us pay off the debt or not?" Mary said with a stern face. But as soon as she said it, she cursed herself for being stupid.
She almost forgot that Elbert was a poor guy.
'He had put the 5 million in the card, planning to swindle money from Dad. But he hasn't succeeded yet and hasn't gotten the money.' she thought to herself.
Susan's eyes rolled, and she said softly, "Elbert, we know you don't have money, but I have an idea. You can call Lori and borrow 1 million to pay off our debt. When my reward money from the livestream is cashed out, I'll pay you back 1.1 million. How about it?"
Susan finished speaking, admiring her own wisdom.
With such high profits, she thought he would help.
"I think you two are just waiting to get raped." Elbert smirked and turned to leave.
"Elbert, wait. 200,000, I'll pay you back 200,000. Is that okay?"
"You two spoiled and willful girls. If I don't teach you a lesson, you won't know what respect is." Elbert slowly returned to the table and said to that yellow-haired man lightly, "Paying off your debt is impossible, but I don't mind gambling with you."
Elbert squinted slightly, and the information about the yellow-haired man opposite him appeared.
This guy's name was Bryan Ward, and he had some background. His father, Patrick Ward, was also on the Wavehaven rich list, with a net worth of billions. But this guy was a typical playboy. Drinking, gambling, deceiving girls, fighting, he had done all sorts of bad things. He didn't care about the 1 million win or loss because this gambling round was probably a trap he set for the two girls.
Elbert asked, "Do you dare to do it or not?"
"Alright, how do you want to play?" Bryan sneered.
"Just continue with this round; keep betting." Elbert calmly looked at his three cards and lit a cigarette without any expression. "You, you bet 3 million, right? I'll call with 5 million."
