Chapter 430 Guide

Late at night.

The surroundings were pitch black.

In this desolate, monster-infested area contaminated by nuclear pollution.

Two humanoid figures suddenly appeared.

Anyone else would have been scared to tears!

"What... are you?" Elbert stood firm, squinting at the two figures before him.

The burly man with the strange physique remained expressionless and silent.

The "villager woman" had half of her skin peeling off her face, making her expression unreadable. But her eyes flickered inexplicably.

She pursed her peeling lips, "The village chief said you wouldn't mind our appearance."

Quentin leaned forward, looking at the "beautiful" woman, "Why would we mind?"

Elbert subtly pulled Quentin behind him. His right eye flashed purple, "Answer my question, what are you?"

The "villager woman" continued in a pleasant voice, "We are the original inhabitants here."

At that moment, a child's voice came from behind the burly man, speaking in the local Lumaria language.

Elbert frowned.

Robert instantly translated, "Mike, let me see."

Mike Allen turned around woodenly, revealing a refrigerator-sized iron cage on his back, containing two black-skinned boys. They were so thin that their skin clung to their bones, and their limbs were unusually long for boys their age!

One of the boys, with bulging eyes, was gnawing on a giant corn kernel.

Elbert then realized these two children seemed to be the ones who had been spying on him from the bushes!

Quentin sniffed like a dog, moving closer to the corn kernel.

The boy looked at Elbert for a moment. He reached out from the cage and handed the corn kernel, which was at least the size of an adult's palm, to Quentin.

He spoke in the local Lumaria language, "Eat."

Elbert quickly pushed Quentin aside, took the corn kernel, and hid it behind him, but not before nodding to the boy.

The "villager woman" continued, "The village chief said two esteemed guests would arrive today, and we are here to guide you to the village."

As she spoke, a large piece of skin on her face, like wallpaper losing its adhesive, slowly peeled off.

Elbert's scalp tingled slightly at the sight.

The "villager woman" forced a stiff smile, "If you have any questions, you can ask the village chief."

She paused, then added, "The village chief knows you want to go to the stone coffin, and he wants to help you."

Elbert was stunned! No one knew about his plan to go to the stone coffin! Not even Quentin knew the destination of this trip! How did the village chief know this?

Elbert's mind was filled with intense curiosity!

Strangely, he felt that the two bizarre figures before him, despite their grotesque appearance, seemed to harbor no hostility!

After a moment of contemplation, Elbert, confident in his skills, spoke in a low voice, "Then take me to see this village chief."

"Is there food in the village?" Quentin grinned foolishly, his body swaying from hunger.

Mike's Adam's apple moved.

The "villager woman" covered her mouth and giggled, showing a hint of girlishness, "Mike, he's afraid of hallucinogenic toxins, and he seems to be starving. Give him a ride."

Then, Mike reached out and lifted Quentin by the collar, placing him on the iron cage on his back.

Quentin chuckled, "A ride, too? You guys are really hospitable!"

And so, the two strange villagers walked ahead with lanterns. Quentin rode on the burly man's iron cage, with two curious children looking up from below. Quentin sat high, grinning foolishly, swaying back and forth, quite pleased with himself.

Elbert kept an eye on Quentin, his expression vigilant, following closely behind.

This scene: six people traveling together, the atmosphere harmonious yet bizarre! Eerie, with a touch of tranquility!

After a while, Elbert asked in a low voice, "What village are you from?"

The "villager woman" replied while walking, "Yulia Village, but no one knows that name."

Elbert nodded.

In the next moment, Robert instantly searched the entire internet for information!

Seconds later, the information appeared!

Yulia Village.

Located 90 miles directly east of the Galaxy District nuclear power plant.

During the reactor explosion, it was monsoon season, and a level 6 wind blew a massive amount of radioactive distilled gas eastward!

Ultimately, the dust settled entirely in a place called Yulia Village!

A month later, Lumaria officials discovered that the 300 villagers had not evacuated in time and all perished due to excessive nuclear material exposure!

They were buried on the spot.

And Yulia Village was completely sealed off due to excessive radiation.

This tragic event was known as the Galaxy District Disaster!

The information included some images.

The village was covered in black dust, burning, ruins, and rotting, festering corpses everywhere!

Elbert's brow furrowed, his mood instantly heavy.

Immediately, he connected everything and arrived at an answer!

Elbert tentatively asked, "Are you survivors of the nuclear explosion?"

"Not exactly," the "villager woman" shook her head, "We are reborn... See the children Mike is carrying? During the explosion, they were still in their mother's womb."

Elbert's heart skipped a beat!

He looked again at the two children in the iron cage.

These were so-called radiation babies.

Their mothers were pregnant during the radiation exposure, causing them to be born as mutants.

In other words, they were the offspring of survivors!

In an instant, Elbert thought of a horrifying fact.

The Galaxy District explosion happened 33 years ago.

These "children" were at least 32 years old!

Yet due to nuclear radiation, they appeared as children!

Elbert looked at the "villager woman" and Mike again!

Mike's half face was burned by corrosive substances!

And the "villager woman" seemed worse, her entire body covered in burns!

Her skin was still continuously dying and peeling off!

However, Mike's physique couldn't have originally been this way.

Elbert was somewhat stunned.

He had encountered mutated animals due to radiation.

And now, he faced mutated humans!

These rumors were true!

Instinctively, Elbert lowered his guard.

He felt a surge of sympathy.

He hesitated, "Why didn't you seek help from the outside world?"

The "villager woman" shrugged.

"We've been abandoned long ago."

"And look at us, who would help us?"

"Hehe, the outside world not capturing us for research is already good enough!"

The "villager woman" said, jumping over a large rock ahead, agile and lively.

Elbert had a momentary illusion.

She was just outwardly strange, but in other aspects, how was she different from an ordinary girl?

In fact, she seemed stronger and more optimistic than most ordinary girls!

Elbert was inexplicably moved, "I'm Elbert, what's your name?"

The "villager woman" giggled, mimicking Elbert's way of speaking, "I'm Wendy Allen."

She pointed to Mike, "He's Mike, my brother. His throat is damaged, so he can't speak."

She pointed to the two children in the cage, "This is Erik and Flynn."

Elbert nodded silently, "Nice to meet you."

"I'm the greatest warrior in the universe, Quentin."

The shameless man in the cage waved foolishly.

Elbert shook his head helplessly, asking again, "Who else is in your village?"

"Many!"

"We have over 100 people living here for many years!" Wendy replied.

Elbert frowned, "No one discovered you?"

"No!"

At this point, Wendy suddenly stopped and pointed behind her, "Because we have this!"

Elbert finally realized.

Unknowingly, they had walked a long way.

And the scene before him was shocking!

In the darkness, there was a massive vine!

The roots were thick, the leaves lush, intertwined to form a huge circular dome!

Needless to say, this vine must be a mutated plant.

And beneath this dome.

Undoubtedly, it should be the Galaxy District Disaster, Yulia Village!
