Chapter 57 Young and Talented

The Brown Family estate was nestled in the picturesque hills to the west of Wavehaven. The elevated terrain ensured that even during the summer heat, cool breezes provide relief, making it a well-known summer retreat.

In the early morning, sunshades and long tables with cold dishes were already set up on the lawn in front of the main building. A dozen servants stood respectfully, awaiting instructions.

Wavehaven's richest man, Alan Brown, had returned to the estate a day earlier. Except for the second daughter Lisa, who was abroad, the other four daughters of the Brown Family had all arrived, along with the son-in-law, Rex. Today, the Brown Family was hosting guests.

Mr. Brown was sitting under a sunshade, squinting as he looked at a young man in a white shirt and jeans, standing out among the crowd dressed in suits and formal attire.

"Jesse," he called.

"Yes, sir, I'm here," Jesse replied.

"I don't know why, but the more I look at Elbert, the more I like him. Don't you think his rebellious spirit is somewhat like mine when I was young?"

"Sir, I feel that Mr. Perry seems a bit uneasy today, as if he's not feeling well," Jesse noted.

Mr. Brown sighed. "It's understandable. Elbert comes from a modest background; he's never experienced an occasion like this. With so many prominent people gathering later, it's natural for him to feel a bit nervous. But this is something a young man must go through. I sincerely hope he can grow quickly and become a pillar of the Brown Family!"

In the distance, Elbert stood under a tree, looking somewhat dazed. From afar, it seemed like he was spacing out, but in reality, he was checking the data on the Gemini app.

Over the past three days, the Gemini APP's downloads had surpassed 800 million, almost rivaling the long-established Meta Platforms. The 'Interests' section was a huge success, with over 3,000 active hobby sections.

On the Gemini APP, 90% of users, totaling 720 million people, had already found their hobby groups. Online, various hobby forums were in an uproar, nearly driven to the brink by the Gemini APP's rapid rise.

Creator CEO Alvin had been incredibly busy these past few days. The work was already on track, staff were in place, and the company was in trial operation.

They had rejected offers from over a dozen investment companies, and companies wanting to place paid ads in the 'Interests' section were lining up.

Gemini APP, Paul Three, and Alvin frequently appeared in major financial headlines. "Creator," less than a week old, had garnered numerous titles: the most promising company of the year, a star enterprise in Veridiania, and the most competitive international company.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step," Elbert murmured, smiling as he closed the data in his eyes.

He then looked back at the yard and saw a Mercedes S-Class and a Range Rover had just arrived, parking in front of the main building. Ethan and another young man with gold-rimmed glasses got out of the cars one after the other.

"Nice to see you, Mr. Brown," Ethan said.

"Hello, Mr. Brown," Aldrich added.

The two approached Mr. Brown, bowing slightly and being very polite.

"Ethan, Aldrich, I've been waiting for you two!" Rex greeted them enthusiastically, giving each of them a big hug and then standing beside Ethan. "Elbert, come here."

Mr. Brown waved to Elbert and said, "These two are the sons of old friends of mine. They have just returned from overseas, and both are exceptionally accomplished. Let me introduce you!"

Rex, however, laughed heartily, placing his arm directly on Ethan's shoulder. "This is Ethan, the president of Apex Management Group! To highlight his excellence, I'll say that the recently popular nationwide singer Paul is an artist under his management! Our group is also looking forward to cooperating with Ethan!"

"Ethan, we are glad you are coming to today's banquet. If you have any requests, just let me know. Would you mind if I personally attended to you today? "

"Sure, why not?" Ethan replied, glancing at Elbert disdainfully, full of arrogance.

Rex then moved to the young man with gold-rimmed glasses. "This one is also dazzling! Aldrich, founder of Chic Excursions, and an undisputed star entrepreneur! Chic Excursions is an international travel company that has developed 12 international travel routes and has exclusively signed three tropical islands to provide high-end custom travel services."

"Due to its popularity, Chic Excursions successfully secured $300 million in funding from Wall Street two months ago. I believe it won't be long before Aldrich takes the company public! He is definitely a role model for our younger generation!"

Mr. Brown nodded in satisfaction and looked at Elbert meaningfully. "Coincidentally, Ethan and Aldrich are both college classmates of Lori, and they both pursued Lori back then."

Aldrich laughed. "To be honest. It was because I failed to win Lori's heart that I went on to travel the world. But unexpectedly, I met lots of business friends during these trips and successfully started my company. However, Ethan is wrong about one thing. I didn't secure just one round of funding, but two rounds, totaling 800 million dollars! And I have the full trust of the shareholders, holding 70% of the company's shares, with a current net worth of about 30 billion!"

Aldrich spoke with feigned modesty, then turned to Lori. "Lori, I'm now worlds apart from who I used to be!"

Lori felt a bit awkward and pointed to Elbert, trying to change the subject. "Let me introduce you, this is..."

"No need for introductions. Elbert, right? Lori's savior?" Aldrich laughed heartily, walked up, and tightly grasped Elbert's hand.

He pretended to hug, bringing his mouth close to Elbert's ear, and whispered, "Don't think I don't know what you are! You are just a freeloading, background-less good-for-nothing! Lori is my key to rising up. Do you think you can compete with me? I can crush you with a snap of my fingers! Mr. Brown said I should inspire you? You're not even worthy!"

Elbert's expression changed instantly, and his brows furrowed tightly. Aldrich sneered and moved away from Elbert's ear, his expression becoming enthusiastic again.

He laughed loudly and said, "Elbert, we have a long way to go; let's take our time getting to know each other!"

"Ouch!"

The next moment, Aldrich's expression froze, and his face turned from red to purple! All they could hear was the sound of bones being crushed in the hand Elbert was holding!
