Chapter 308 Witness

In the conference room on the fifth floor, the discussion was still going strong.

With all the complex mechanical equipment involved, renovating all stores would take at least 1-2 months, even if they worked non-stop.

Elbert made it clear: no one was to leak Pioneer's business plans.

Curiosity drove people, and it was key to the store's early marketing.

Everyone agreed wholeheartedly and promised to keep their lips sealed!

They were all pumped for the grand opening, buzzing with energy!

"From now on, Melissa will be the overall head of Pioneer," Elbert announced.

With that, Elbert got ready to leave.

Everyone was a bit stunned!

No one dared to question Elbert's decisions or disrespect Melissa.

Melissa was tight with Paul Two. It was because of her that Mr. Paul Two once took down the Dragon Pride Syndicate in a fit of rage.

Despite Mr. Paul Two entrusting his child to Miss Melissa's care, and their relationship being quite obvious, she was still just a maid. Was it really wise to give her such an important job?

Dozens of other gang leaders had weird looks on their faces, thinking Mr. Paul Two was being a bit rash.

Elbert saw all this, then he smiled, walked off with dignity, and left the discussion.

He completely believed in Melissa's abilities.

She seemed weak, but for six years she had never slipped up, helping the Black Fox gang rise to the top in Wavehaven.

Soon after, Melissa stood in front of everyone, calm and collected, and when she spoke, it was clear and well-planned.

No script, yet she listed over a hundred tasks to be done before the opening.

Every detail was covered, no room for error!

Everyone was blown away!

The stuff Melissa mentioned was beyond what they could come up with, even if they tried their best!

They couldn't even remember everything after listening.

But Ashley quickly opened her handheld computer, recorded all of Melissa's tasks, and organized them into a schedule.

Her typing speed was insane.

The Black Fox members and gang leaders were all impressed.

Thank goodness they had these pros to help; otherwise, the stores would have been doomed before it even opened.

Elowen kept her eyes on the radiant Melissa on stage the whole time.

The confident demeanor, the calm mind, the black silk dress outlining an alluring figure, and the flawless face.

Out of nowhere, Elowen's face turned a bit red.

She had never realized that Melissa was also a rare beauty!

Elbert came up behind Elowen and coughed lightly.

Seeing Elowen's somewhat confused expression, Elbert felt a bit helpless.

"Mr. Paul Two?" Elowen turned her head, the blush fading from her face.

She had seen Elbert's vast capabilities and had learned to call him different names in different situations.

Elbert thought for a moment and whispered, "Melissa can withdraw funds as she pleases, with no limit, and it doesn't need my approval."

Elowen was a bit surprised.

She managed Witness Investment Company, basically acting as Elbert's financial right-hand. So Elbert needed to tell her in advance.

"Got it," Elowen said, no objections at all.

Elbert's business smarts had totally won her over.

Not to mention, just the three app companies Elbert had her acquire, which joined the Magic Gemini app and instantly gained a billion users.

Their market value shot up 1500 times, and their developers went from nobodies to superstars.

Witness, with its crazy ability to grow businesses, had banks lining up every day to throw money at them.

Banks even wanted to give Witness the right to use their funds.

Because of this, Elowen's schedule was booked solid for three months.

The only person who could make her drop everything and show up anytime, anywhere, was Elbert!

As for Witness itself, it had access to tens of trillions of dollars!

Its products brought in nearly a hundred billion dollars in revenue.

It held major stakes in over 100 internet app companies.

But Elbert didn't let Elowen reveal Witness's setup to the public.

Seeing everything running smoothly, Elbert turned his gaze to Dennis, who had been quietly listening in the corner of the conference room.

Dennis suddenly felt uneasy.

Elbert walked over, grabbed the boy by the collar, and took him to a private office.

Just as they sat down, the TV screen in the office automatically turned on, showing info about five schools.

There was a key elementary school in the city and a top private elite elementary school with beautiful scenery.

"Violent Bear, what are you up to?" Dennis frowned, a sense of foreboding looming in his mind.

Elbert leisurely took out a cigarette, about to light it, but considering Dennis was there, he put it back.

"Pick one," Elbert said.

"No," Dennis's face was full of resentment, "I want to stay here and study mechanics. I can be your mechanical engineer for free."

Elbert shook his head slightly, "That's not an option."

"Elbert, you can't do this!"

"Elbert, you can't do this. If you make me stay with those little kids, I'll go nuts!" Dennis jumped up from the sofa and came to Elbert's desk.

Unfortunately, he wasn't even as tall as the desk.

Dennis's voice came from behind the desk, "Violent Bear, I've already known everything they teach at school. Besides, I can even understand the quantum mechanics papers from the Hughes Research Lab."

Elbert ignored him.

After a long time, Dennis's voice became weak and pitiful, "Please, don't send me to school."

Elbert sighed lightly, "I know you're a little genius, but you need to do what kids your age do. You need to learn to get along with your peers so you can gradually fit into society. And don't try to pull any tricks on me."

Elbert stood up and took a small pill from Dennis's hand.

It was an acute fever reducer, which would cause a low fever if taken without symptoms.

This kid was something else. He had already planned to fake being sick.
