Chapter 303 Celebrity Hero
As soon as Bertrand wrapped up his speech, a buzzing sound filled the venue.
A figure, glowing with blue electric light, stepped out from the corner.
He zipped across the stage like a shooting star, landing right in the spotlight.
Electricity crackled all over him, hiding his face, but you could tell he was something special.
The crowd went dead silent, totally blown away by what they were seeing.
After what felt like forever, someone yelled, "Isn't that the Electric Man?"
"No way, he's real! That video wasn't fake!" another voice shouted.
"He's one of those evolved humans from BioGen Innovations," someone else chimed in.
Bertrand grinned, "Actually, he's not called Electric Man. His name is 'Arc,' the superhero Arc!"
The place went nuts!
It was like a dream come true. superheroes were real.
Cameras were flashing like crazy, reporters trying to capture every moment.
"BioGen Innovations is all about making life better for everyone. Every superhero we create is here to serve the public," Bertrand said.
He gave a little nod to Arc.
Suddenly, the electric light around Arc surged, spreading across the stage!
A nearby elevator beneath the stage started rising, and another figure rose up—a young guy in black and a baseball cap.
He looked calm, the cap hiding most of his face.
He didn't say a word, just stood there looking super cool.
The crowd lost it again.
"Baseball Cap!" a girl screamed.
"He's the one who saved that little girl, Baseball Cap!" a boy shouted.
"So he's a superhero too! I'm a huge fan," a man added.
"He's so cool!" another voice yelled.
Baseball Cap did his signature move, flicking the brim of his cap with his finger.
A bunch of young female reporters almost fainted!
Bertrand smiled again, "His name is Ironface!"
The crowd went wild! And it wasn't just the people there; billions were watching the live broadcast all over the world, just as shocked and excited.
Bertrand continued, "Veridiania has always been our closest ally. So, we're deploying our first batch of superheroes here to keep the peace, fight crime, and make sure our friends in Veridiania are safe."
Just then, the screen behind Bertrand lit up. It showed Iron Rhino clearing a runway at the airport like a boss.
As Iron Rhino gave a thumbs-up to the plane, the scene switched.
It was Iron Rhino himself, being interviewed at the airport.
He waved at the camera, "Hey everyone, I'm Iron Rhino. Sorry I couldn't be at the press conference; I was busy with a rescue mission."
The crowd went wild again. Turns out, Iron Rhino was another superhero from BioGen Innovations.
Everything started to click for the audience.
Their constant cheers made Bertrand even more pumped. He adjusted his glasses and kept going, "You don't need to worry about these superheroes causing any trouble. We've got the internationally recognized strongest organization on board! The International Cyborg Supervision Committee, FIC!"
He added, "They'll be the watchdogs to make sure our heroes from BioGen Innovations don't misuse their powers!"
Right after he said that, a handsome, burly blond guy stood up and waved to the media from the corner of the stage.
Elbert, watching from the screen, took a good 10 seconds to remember the guy's name—Robbins.
Elbert was confused. Since when did FIC become the top dog internationally?
And today, Robbins didn't look as heroic as usual, more like he was feeling guilty!
On the screen behind Robbins, a rundown of FIC's operations popped up.
There were two major divisions, a few superheroes, nearly 200 offices worldwide, a vast info network, and almost 1,000 agents.
The crowd buzzed with excitement. FIC was no joke!
The superhero field was way more advanced than anyone thought.
Bertrand suddenly raised his voice, "Next, I'm super proud to introduce BioGen Innovations' strongest hero, Skywalker!"
All eyes were on the stage, but nothing happened.
Then, a rumbling sound came from the sky! A white dot was getting closer.
It was a figure, flying with a personal flight device, wings about six feet long, and a fuel pack on his back!
Skywalker flew over the stadium, leaving a white trail in the blue sky, looking absolutely stunning.
After a loop, Skywalker slowly descended, landing right in the center of the stage. He took off his helmet.
Golden long hair, high nose bridge, blue eyes—he was incredibly handsome and dashing.
His powerful presence and grand entrance made everyone else look like amateurs.
The crowd went silent.
Reporters forgot to take pictures, totally mesmerized by Skywalker's heroic look.
He was like a prince from the tech era, descending from the sky, radiating brilliance.
The screen behind the stage changed to a group photo of Skywalker, Ironface, Arc, and Iron Rhino.
They appeared solemn and enigmatic, emanating an aura of heroism that was palpable.
Quentin, fresh out of the shower, stared blankly at the sky. "These rookies' skills are even better than Quentin's!"
He added, "Those young girls are gonna scream their lungs out!"
Then, Quentin looked at Elbert, "As the second strongest person in the world, why don't you have any fans?"
Elbert shook his head, "It's all just for show!"
