Chapter 198 Red Temptation
Elbert took out a cigarette and held it in his mouth before entering the SOUL Queen Bar.
A middle-aged waiter blocked his way inside, bowing slightly. "Sir, I'm really sorry, but it's an exclusive bar. We need to check whether you verified our criteria."
Elbert stopped ighting the cigarette, "What criteria?"
"Sir, due to certain reasons three days ago, our customer numbers surged, and seating became very limited. So, to maintain our service quality, we only accept high-status customers. Thus, we need to check your assets. For male customers, your assets must be worth over 300 million."
The middle-aged waiter looked at the young man in front of him playfully. He was experienced, and his eyes were like a money detector.
'His entire outfit probably costs less than $150, and the cigarette's worth $3. This guy doesn't look like a trust fund kid; what a pity that he's so handsome!'
After a while pondering, he quickly made his difficult decision.
The waiter's mouth twitched, but he still respectfully said, "Sir, if your assets don't meet the standards, please leave!"
Elbert suppressed his irritation.
He handed over his bank card and said coldly, "Go verify it."
The waiter took it with a slightly helpless look.
'A regular bank savings card! Does it even have $10,000?'
He felt disappointed. But out of his duty, he still handed the card to a nearby server and stayed in place, blocking Elbert's way!
Five minutes later, the server returned with a pale face.
The middle-aged waiter tilted his head, and the server whispered in his ear, trembling, "Manager, he did get..."
The waiter politely smiled at Elbert and whispered, "Get what? Explain clearly!"
"Cash, balance!"
"I've never so much money in my life! He must have over a hundred billion..."
After reporting this, the server's hands were shaking!
'Over a hundred billion?'
'Could this handsome guy be a hidden big shot?'
The waiter's eyes widened slowly. After a brief thought, he realized he couldn't afford to be negligent about Elbert!
"Sir, your asset verification is complete!"
The waiter quickly wiped Elbert's bank card with white gloves and respectfully handed it back. "Sir, I'll register you for a spot right away!"
Elbert was taken aback and asked, "Register?"
"Yes, Sir." The middle-aged waiter quickly said. "There are 170 people ahead of you. Seeing your distinguished status, I'll move you to the first spot!"
The next moment, Elbert saw a scene.
It was the waiting lounge of the SOUL Queen. A group of well-dressed, wealthy young people were waiting anxiously inside. There were various cigars and smoke swirling around. Each one of them looked anxious for waiting too long.
Robert said, "These are the 170 people in the queue. Even if you're first, you'll probably have to wait until tomorrow because no one inside wants to leave!"
Elbert was speechless.
'Fuck, is it that much trouble?' he cursed inside.
Then, Elbert took back his bank card and turned to leave.
The waiter anxiously shouted from behind. "Sir, please be patient! Only a couple of hours left for you to get into there."
Outside, a long-legged young woman, looking frustrated, saw Elbert coming out and immediately perked up.
'He didn't go in?'
'Good!'
'I'll give you another chance and forgive you for changing your mind this time!'
As she made up her mind, she saw Elbert walk into the back alley.
She pulled her short skirt up a bit and quickly followed!
In the back alley, she was stunned again.
'Where did he go?'
She looked around; there were only walls four or five meters high!
'These have barbed wire on top!'
'Where did he go? Did he fly or burrow into the ground?'
Without finishing her thought, Elbert suddenly disappeared.
She rubbed her eyes; she couldn't understand what had happened.
Meanwhile, Elbert had already reached SOUL Queen Bar's back hall.
This was where the staff prepared fruit platters and drinks.
He chose the simplest way to climb over the wall!
After straightening his clothes, he nonchalantly walked toward the main hall.
He hadn't yet seen the full view of the hall.
Soon, he heard a song.
It was the first song Elbert had sung as the singing god Paul, "Imagine."
This person's voice was okay at first listen, but upon closer inspection, it was far inferior!
Elbert shook his head slightly and opened the last door in front of him.
The hall was dimly lit and extremely luxurious, while the booths and tables were packed.
All young men, well-dressed, probably all had their assets verified by the doorman, either rich or noble!
However, these men were currently entranced.
They looked like they were going mad, staring stupidly at the center of the room.
There was a splash of dazzling red.
In the dim lighting, it seemed like only this spot deserved such a vibrant color. On a large circular sofa, a black-haired woman in a red dress was gently leaning against it.
No one dared to approach; the men seemed to regard her as the most sacred goddess, afraid of dirtying her!
In the vivid red and the soft yellow light, her beauty was unmatched in the world; her long, narrow eyes subtly watched the man singing on stage. Her gaze was like a smooth lake, captivating souls!
A group of men with pale lips watched her, trying hard to capture every expression she made.
This was the woman who had caused the SOUL Queen Bar to be packed for three days, with 170 people lining up at the door!
She was also the woman who made countless beauties feel overshadowed and inferior!
After a while, the song "Imagine" finally ended.
The performer was clearly not a singer, probably just a customer trying to win the woman's favor.
She sighed slightly. Obviously, she wasn't impressed with the song.
A handsome guy in a distant booth immediately stood up and excitedly said to the performer, "Get down! Miss Nora is not satisfied with your singing; let me try!"
The performer felt like a bucket of cold water had been poured over him, utterly disappointed! He walked off the stage dejectedly, instantly losing his spirit.
The previous rich and handsome guy quickly walked toward the stage, excitedly looking at the woman in the red dress. "Miss Nora, I know you love Paul's songs, but unfortunately, no one here can move you with their singing!"
"Miss Nora, ever since I first saw you three days ago, I've been deeply captivated by you! I've waited three whole days for my turn to sing for you!"
"To be honest, my friends even call me Paul in private. I sing just like Paul, so I'm sure I can move you!"
"Also, dear Miss Nora."
"Whether you accept me or not, I will admire you for life. I have prepared a gift for you, and I hope you like it!"
He waved his hand, and a follower from the booth stood up, licked his dry lips, and approached the woman in the red dress.
He held a tray with an open jewelry box on it, containing a pink diamond of at least 9 carats that shone brilliantly under the light!
The audience was stunned. They knew well that pink diamonds were extremely rare!
"Such a large one; how much is it worth?" someone asked.
The rich and handsome guy on stage proudly said, "A 9-carat South African pink diamond, the only one in the world, worth $120 million! For my beloved Miss Nora!"
The audience secretly clicked their tongues!
"Damn, $120 million!"
"He really went all out; what a strong competitor!"
Whispers filled the room.
The woman in the red dress casually picked up the pink diamond, played with it in her slender hand, and then tossed it aside. "Sing first."
Her red lips parted slightly, her voice lazy and alluring, making the audience's bones tingle!
"Alright!"
The rguy on stage was extremely excited; at least he was the only one who had spoken to Nora tonight!
He held the microphone, his eyes burning as he looked at her, "Then I'll sing a new song by Paul, 'Arrival'!"
The audience applauded slightly. People were reluctant because of jealousy!
Elbert sighed slightly; after wandering around, he reached the edge of the bar and ordered a glass of lemon water from the bartender.
The singing started on stage.
He listened closely; the singing was indeed good, but it completely lacked 'Paul''s essence!
But gradually, the singer's tone changed. There was a hint of hesitation and surprise in the singing! The tone inexplicably elongated!
Elbert was about to turn around to watch.
Suddenly, a white and slender arm slowly stretched across the bar in front of Elbert.
Elbert gently turned his head and was quickly attracted by the appearance of the woman.
In fact, she was truly flawless. Her skin was like white jade, her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her lips were red and sexy.
When he observed a little longer, he felt more amazed. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, as if a bit tipsy, and her eyes were full of emotion and misty, making one's heart flutter. Still in that red dress, she sat sideways on the bar stool next to Elbert, her long legs faintly visible under the skirt.
She withdrew her arm, propped her cheek, and tilted her head to look at him. She smiled lightly.
"Hey, handsome, what's that look? You wanna buy me a drink?"
