Chapter 316 The Little Inventor

Unknowingly, Elbert fell into a deep sleep.

Suddenly, his shoulder was gently nudged.

Of course, without Robert Williams' warning, there was no danger!

Elbert slightly opened his eyes and saw Summer standing beside him. "Elbert, sorry to disturb your rest, but Dennis's school needs your there."

Elbert stretched and woke up.

From Summer, he learned that today was the 'Handmade Invention Award Day' at the little boy's school.

The children would display their works, and parents would be there to support them.

Summer was too young, and if Elbert didn't go, the little boy would be left alone.

Elbert nodded; of course, he had to support this!

After a quick wash, Elbert looked at himself in the mirror.

Because of his fast metabolism, his hair had been growing like crazy lately.

Elbert reached out with one hand, smoothing his long hair back, revealing his chiseled, flawless features.

After a brief thought, Elbert decided not to shave, to look a bit less attractive and avoid too much trouble!

He then drove to Hero Elementary School.

Just as he arrived at the entrance of the school auditorium, several graceful mothers' eyes widened.

"Is that a parent? So handsome!" someone screamed.

"Such a handsome face, and with stubble, so manly!" someone praised.

"I want his contact information!" another one added.

The mothers looked at Elbert with shining eyes, their moral defenses instantly crumbling!

Elbert slightly held his forehead, using his hand to cover his face, and quickly entered the auditorium, which was similar to a large lecture hall!

He found it had already packed with people.

Each child held their handmade invention, looking expectantly towards the stage.

Parents were also accompanying their children.

Elbert immediately spotted two little boys in the corner.

One was Dennis while the other was a chubby boy, half a head taller than him.

Elbert walked over to them and casually ruffled the little boy's head.

"Violent Bear, I thought you weren't coming. You almost missed my killer invention." Dennis shot Elbert a look, trying to play it tough, but the grin gave him away.

"Meet Conrad," Dennis said, gesturing to the chubby kid next to him. "His parents are swamped, so they couldn't make it."

"Hello, Conrad," Elbert nodded, looking at the obviously downcast but trying-to-hide-it chubby boy.

He couldn't help but feel some sympathy.

In such occasions, the absence of parents could cause significant psychological harm to a child.

"And, Conrad is also clumsy, he didn't make an invention on time," Dennis shrugged, like it was no big deal. "So I slapped both our names on mine. He's now my partner. Violent Bear, cheer for us later."

Conrad scratched his head and chuckled, "Elbert, Dennis is very righteous, he helped me out! Actually, I didn't do anything!"

Elbert smiled, "No matter what, in my heart, you both get first place!"

Dennis pouted, "What's the point of you giving us an award? I wanna blow those teachers away."

Elbert smiled again, "What's the point? It's coming from the strongest man on the planet!"

"No one knows that," Dennis muttered, looking at the stage.

After a round of applause, the first child walked onto the stage. "Hello everyone, I... I turned a basketball into this globe! I mapped out all the countries and even threw in the equator. P-pretty cool, huh?"

The child displayed it for a while and quickly got a crash of applause.

The judges beside also lowered their heads to score.

Then, the second child went on stage.

This time, the handmade work was different. It was actually a miniature wind turbine!

With a fan blowing, the small light bulb behind it slowly lit up!

Thunderous applause!

After all, this was the work of a first-grader!

Dennis slightly pursed his lips, "Stuff to fool kids."

Elbert held back his laughter and asked, "What about your work?"

Dennis turned his head, "It's a secret."

Then, more than a dozen children went on stage, Dennis disdained each one.

Finally, the host called out the names 'Dennis, Conrad.'

Dennis walked towards the stage calmly.

Conrad nervously rubbed his hands, ran to the back of the stage, and slowly pushed out a rack taller than a person.

The rack was entirely covered with a black cloth, emitting a sense of mysteriousness.

Dennis went on stage, completely unperturbed like the other children, calm as could be.

He cleared his throat and said loudly, "Next, I will show you an invention that is enough to shock the world."

The judges and teachers raised their eyebrows, playful smiles flashing across their faces.

Dennis spoke methodically, "As we all know, our clothes are made of cotton and various fibers, with a wear life of less than a year! According to our current level of technology, there are at least dozens of materials that can replace the current clothing materials!"

The judges and teachers nodded continuously, 'The child's words were quite reasonable! The parents must have put in a lot of effort!'

"So I spent 3 days at home making a piece of clothing." Dennis extended his hand, and Conrad slowly pushed the covered rack onto the stage, keeping it under wraps while standing next to it like a bouncer. His awkward stance got the crowd cracking up!

As for the piece of clothing, no one paid much attention.

Dennis raised his voice again. "I didn't use regular materials for this jacket—I went with carbon fiber, the same stuff they use in rockets. Carbon fiber's insanely strong and heat-resistant. I blended it with spandex to create the yarn for this piece. It's got 500 feet of carbon fiber woven in, making it super tough and durable. Oh, and the whole thing? Just 34 ounces. Lightweight but built to last."

The judges and parents present widened their eyes!

Although no one believed the little boy really made a carbon fiber garment, at least the terms he used were correct!

Dennis continued, "Originally, the carbon fiber garment weighed only 15 ounces, but why is it 34 ounces? That's because I sprayed a high-temperature resistant coating on the surface of the garment and added cushioning gel underneath the material!!"

The little boy puffed out his chest, "In other words, the garment I made is bulletproof, fireproof, and built to last. No regular weapon's getting through it—it'll stop handgun bullets dead. Wear this in combat, and your odds of survival jump by 50%. I call it '100Years' because it's not going anywhere for a century!"

As Dennis wrapped up, the crowd gasped, heads swiveling as they scanned the audience, hunting for his parents.

In the crowd, a guy in white was beaming at the kid with pride, then turned to wave at everyone.

Another gasp rippled through the room!

This dude was seriously good-looking! So how come his kid turned out so... unique?
