Chapter 475 One Thing, One Discussion
In the distance, warships from various countries watched in shock.
They had no idea what Elbert and Sith were saying to each other.
All they could see was the two of them moving out to the open sea.
Sterling was visibly excited.
"They're gonna fight!"
"This is the perfect chance!"
"They'll tear each other apart, both getting seriously hurt, or maybe Paul Five will die outright!"
"Then we can launch an all-out bombardment and take out the other one. The world will be safe!"
"Everyone, listen up!"
"Prepare heavy artillery, biochemical weapons, and get the nukes ready!"
"All ships, fall back!"
Sterling was almost delirious with excitement.
Meanwhile, Sith was in a daze on the water's surface.
"What the hell is going on?"
"How did I end up here?"
Elbert's right eye flashed with a purple light. "I've been looking for a way to let off some steam. You'd better make this worth my while!"
Sith steadied himself and threw a punch. "You're asking for it!"
Elbert met his punch with one of his own, shattering Sith's attack effortlessly. Sith's fist twisted and deformed, unable to withstand the force.
Sith's body plunged straight into the sea!
Elbert dove after him, raining down punches on the water's surface.
It was like mountains were crashing into the sea, sending waves hundreds of feet into the air!
Underwater, it was as if bombs were exploding!
The water churned violently, creating a maelstrom.
For ten miles around, the sea was like a stormy tempest!
Elbert unleashed his fury without aiming, his raw power shaking the heavens and the earth!
The noise was deafening, almost bursting everyone's eardrums!
Each punch sent water shooting into the sky like white dragons, dispersing in the sunlight and turning the area into a misty white expanse!
In moments, waves nearly sixty feet high spread out!
Over a hundred warships in the distance were instantly rocked by the waves, bobbing up and down like tiny boats in a storm!
The soldiers on board were thrown about!
If this continued, the fleet wouldn't be able to leave!
Elbert kept punching!
The sea couldn't hold together, forming a massive crater!
The seabed's rocks were faintly visible!
Sterling's face turned pale!
The aircraft carrier he stood on was a 600,000-ton behemoth!
The deck felt like it was experiencing an earthquake!
Crew members frantically used ropes to secure planes, or they'd be lost to the sea!
Sterling looked around at the other warships, all teetering!
Commanders from various countries were busy trying to keep their ships afloat!
Underwater, several submarines in the shallows, ready to launch torpedoes, were forced to the surface by the powerful currents!
Everyone was stunned!
One man had turned the sea upside down!
How could they fight this?
Elbert kept punching for over ten minutes!
Finally, he felt a bit tired.
He stopped his assault, the water churning for a long time, the mist slowly settling!
A delayed wave crashed onto the deck, splashing against the glass in front of Sterling!
Though it didn't touch him, it left Sterling feeling chilled to the bone!
Sterling turned his head, dazed.
He saw a dark figure standing above the sea, looking right at him!
Sith was nowhere to be seen, likely dead!
Sterling shivered, clutching his chest. This had gone too far!
Elbert moved!
He became a blur, smashing through the command room's glass, standing before Sterling!
Sterling nearly fell to the ground!
Elbert spoke softly, "Sterling, explain to me where you get the nerve to keep testing me like this?"
Sterling's face was ashen, his legs trembling!
After a moment, he mustered the courage, "It's you! You're the one trying to destroy the world!"
Then, Sterling grabbed the communicator, shouting, "All units, fire on my position! I'll take Paul Five down with me!"
But there was no response from the communicator!
Sterling looked out the window in shock, seeing the warships turning and retreating!
Sterling's eyes widened, "Those bastards!"
Elbert sighed, his voice deep, "The Black Shark submarine, that's yours, right?"
"What?" Sterling shuddered again. How did he know about the Black Shark? That plan was completely off the grid! The Black Shark was supposed to use a neutron bomb to attack Phantom Island! It had been exposed!
In an instant, Sterling understood Elbert's words. He had been dancing on the edge of death all along!
"I terminated that plan a long time ago!" Sterling's face twitched.
Elbert ignored him, frowning slightly. The next moment, the communicators on various warships activated simultaneously. Elbert's voice came through, "The Apocalypse Association simulated alien signals and buried nukes in the Norden Trench to trigger a global earthquake! Those nukes have been neutralized by me! I'll send the nuke casings to the Victoria Pentagon! Each country can come and claim them! You've all been negligent, losing nukes and failing to take responsibility! You've created a massive crisis! After this, you will each apologize to the global community and explain the situation!"
The leaders on the warships froze. They knew all too well that their countries had indeed lost nuclear weapons in recent years! And many nuclear experts had gone missing! It was the Apocalypse Association! Norden Trench, nukes? They were terrified!
"Paul Five..." After a moment, a leader's voice came through the communicator. He sounded guilty, "We misunderstood you! Without you, we would never have uncovered this plot! Please don't blame us!"
"Save your flattery!" Elbert's voice was low, "One thing at a time. Who fired on my Phantom Island while I was away?"
The communicator fell silent. Sterling, standing close to Elbert, had just been relieved that Paul Five didn't know about the Black Shark. Now, Paul Five was holding them accountable! Sterling's heart nearly stopped, panic setting in! He had been the loudest just moments ago!
"You, Sterling, explain why the glass on my island shattered?" Elbert looked at Sterling, his dark armor revealing no expression.
"It wasn't me! The glass was shattered by the Apocalypse Association!" Sterling panicked. His weapons hadn't even penetrated Phantom Island's defenses! Paul Five had to know that, right?
Elbert's voice was low. "I'll pay for it! Name your price!"
Sterling took two steps back. Elbert shook his head slightly, "Seraphine's Atlas, Arcturus's Odyssey, Victoria's Vanguard, and Phoenix fired a total of 65 howitzer shells and 12 missiles at my Phantom Island."
Sterling trembled, "I didn't count!"
Elbert's voice was low, "Those ships aren't going anywhere."
"What?" Sterling's eyes widened, "They've already sailed away! You like ships? I'll send you some!"
"I mean, they're staying forever!" Elbert looked into the distance. Underwater, two massive shadows sped toward the fleeing fleet!
Suddenly, the water around Arcturus's Odyssey churned! Giant octopus tentacles, nearly sixty feet long, emerged, wrapping around the Odyssey! The immense strength of the tentacles made the ship creak and groan, starting to deform! The crew scrambled to escape! In no time, the warship was crushed and dragged underwater!
Meanwhile, Seraphine's Atlas was suddenly ensnared by a colossal electric eel! Massive electric currents surged! The entire warship's circuits fried, equipment exploded! It sank in an instant!
Everyone was dumbfounded! They rubbed their eyes, unable to believe what they were seeing! Were those sea monsters? And they were obeying Paul Five! Was he even human? Paul Five was untouchable, with too many ways to kill them! But the two monsters seemed to have orders from Paul Five, not harming the escape boats, only sinking the warships he mentioned!
Everyone was completely stunned! Paul Five's voice echoed, "Listen up, I, Paul Five, my Phantom Island, my Punisher, now and forever. Will not tolerate anyone's prying, anyone's doubt! This time, you didn't consider who you were dealing with. I'm giving you a chance! But from now on, anyone who dares to target me. Will never return!"
