Chapter 514 Wonderful Day at the Gymnasium
An hour later.
A logistics truck slowly pulled up at the entrance of FutureTech Group Elementary School!
Conrad had requisitioned this vehicle from his dad's company.
The middle-aged driver's face was now pale as a sheet!
The whole way here, he had no idea how he'd managed to drive!
He'd clearly seen two little kids loading a giant monster sloth onto his truck!
If Conrad hadn't kept stuffing money at him, he would've run away scared long ago!
But the guard at the school gate seemed completely unfazed, directing the huge truck toward the school's gymnasium.
Only then did Dennis and Conrad understand.
There were several other large trucks parked at the gymnasium entrance.
Quite a few students had brought what they claimed were baby elephants being boarded at circuses!
And purebred racehorses!
The school had no choice but to clear out the gymnasium to house these massive pets!
Dennis and Conrad, when no one was looking,
brought Willow in through the back door and found a huge tarp to cover her with.
Willow was drowsy by now, lying on the ground half-asleep and motionless!
"Willow, listen up."
"When it's time for your big reveal, just roar and throw off the tarp, strike a super cool pose, shock everyone, and we'll call it a day!"
Dennis crouched beside Willow, giving instructions.
He didn't want to cause too much trouble and risk angering Violent Bear—that would be a real problem!
"Roar..."
Willow gave a low growl in response.
At that moment,
a little boy from their class with a slicked-back center part, leading a group of kids, came up to Dennis.
"Dennis, your pet's pretty big."
"Can we get a sneak peek?"
The slick-haired classmate, hands holding his pants suspenders, circled around Willow.
Dennis looked disdainful. "Darcy, are you wearing diapers today?"
Darcy froze. "This young master never wears those things. I pee wherever I want, and when I wet the bed at home, we just get a new one!"
A classmate nearby added, "Darcy's family is rich. Every morning he wakes up in a 2000-square-foot bed!"
"Keep it down!"
The boy named Darcy said smugly, "Dennis, I upgraded my pet today!"
He turned and pointed to an area in the distance.
There stood a horse with sleek lines and a slightly reddish coat!
"Ever heard of an Akhal-Teke horse?"
"There aren't more than three in all of Wavehaven!"
"It takes four people just to look after it!"
Darcy said proudly, "Is your pet worth more than my horse?"
Dennis shook his head. "Not even close!"
"Haha!"
"At least you know your place!"
Darcy struck an arrogant pose!
"Hey Darcy, with Dennis's pet being so big, what if it's all for show—what if it's just inflatable under that tarp?"
A kid suddenly wondered aloud!
"An inflatable doll?"
"That would be amazing! My dad says inflatable dolls are the most understanding creatures in the world!"
Gurgle gurgle...
As they were discussing, strange sounds came from under the tarp behind Dennis!
"Why does it sound like someone's stomach growling?"
"Whose stomach could be that loud?"
"It's definitely his inflatable doll leaking air!"
"Haha!"
The kids burst out laughing!
"You kids!"
A rather stern voice came from the doorway—it was the elementary division's dean. He called out from afar, "Once you've settled your pets, head to the auditorium for the opening ceremony. The principal will bring everyone to see the pets later!"
The kids stuck out their tongues and obediently left.
Dennis also secretly patted Willow and followed along!
Shortly after,
the huge gymnasium was left with only the various pets!
Gurgle gurgle...
The very hungry Willow poked her head out from under the tarp.
To her, the scene inside looked like a buffet!
What happened next was quite bizarre!
In the empty, deserted gymnasium,
a furry giant creature, chin to the ground, alert to its surroundings, slowly crawled forward!
It came before the Akhal-Teke horse!
Willow licked the horse once!
Swallowed hard!
But remembering her master's teachings, she had to resist!
Willow licked again!
She was about to lose control!
Suddenly!
A pet box lid in the distance popped open, and a green figure shot out!
It was a 2-foot-long green snake!
Some kid's pet, apparently!
ROAR!
Willow let out an angry roar!
She couldn't hold back anymore. Sloths had few natural enemies, but unfortunately, snakes were one of them!
Even though the little snake compared to Willow's size was like a toothpick!
Willow still freaked out!
The snake was non-venomous and domesticated, but happened to be one of the fastest-crawling snake species in the world!
Whoosh!
Willow's massive body suddenly lunged forward!
One snake, one mutant sloth, began chasing each other through the gymnasium filled with various pet cages and boxes!
Willow's claws were terrifying—one swipe and a gymnasium pillar split into pieces!
But the snake's body was too small, too fast!
Not easy to catch at all!
Many animals escaped!
Dogs chasing mice!
Turtles crawling everywhere!
The horse galloping wildly!
Complete chaos!
A talking mynah bird flew up high, continuously repeating, "Hello, goodbye, darling, my husband's home!"
With two sentences, it told a complicated story!
But the gymnasium doors were locked tight—none of these animals could escape!
On the other side of campus,
in the auditorium, the principal was speaking. "This Pet Love Day is specially organized by our school to increase opportunities for children to interact with animals..."
Below,
Dennis frowned slightly. He faintly heard commotion coming from the gymnasium!
"Conrad."
"I've got a bad feeling. I'm going to check it out!"
With that, Dennis slipped out of his seat!

Robert: "Elbert, I didn't want to disturb your mood, but if you don't handle this situation..."
As he spoke, a scene from FutureTech Group Elementary School's gymnasium appeared in Elbert's view!
Elbert's chest instantly tightened!
"Oh my god!"
