Chapter 479 President's Face

"Those murderers have no mercy."

"They treat regular folks like garbage!"

Elbert turned his head and looked at the president of the Apocalypse Association, his right eye flickering with a purple glow. "Do you think they deserve to die?"

The president of the Apocalypse Association trembled with fear. "You... you killed Gallup from the second division!"

Elbert suddenly smiled mysteriously. "Your Apocalypse Association has all this advanced tech, installing control devices in all your minions?"

"Well, I just hijacked your main control satellite and now I have 100% control!"

The president of the Apocalypse Association was completely panicked. "What... what are you gonna do?"

Elbert's voice turned low. "I'm gonna help you test if the equipment is working properly."

Elbert gently tapped the table. The president of the Apocalypse Association felt a chill in his heart.

Elbert shook his head slightly, as if blaming himself. "Not right."

Tap!

Elbert tapped the table again and shook his head once more. "Not right."

Tap!

When Elbert tapped the table for the third time, a muffled sound came from outside the conference room. A corrosive acidic smell followed.

Through the crack in the door, the president of the Apocalypse Association clearly saw a guard who had just fallen to the ground. The "mission device" in his brain had exploded, and strong acid was pouring out, dissolving his body.

The president's pupils contracted sharply. "You're killing my Apocalypse Association members!"

Elbert remained silent, a chilling smile on his lips. The Apocalypse Association had once shown such disdain for life, and now Elbert showed the same disdain for them.

He continued tapping the table. Meanwhile, in Apocalypse Association research centers around the world, members were being killed one by one.

The president of the Apocalypse Association was terrified. "Stop it!"

"Now I finally have the chance!"

"To avenge Wendy!"

"To avenge Jace!"

"To avenge the villagers of Yulia Village!"

With a roar, Elbert's strength slightly lost control. Boom! The conference table beside him was completely smashed.

The next second, the satellite sent a unified signal to 530 members of the Apocalypse Association. The "mission devices" in their brains all flashed simultaneously. The command was simple—self-destruct immediately!

In an instant, chaos erupted in Apocalypse Association bases worldwide, accompanied by muffled explosions. Blood-stained researchers suddenly had their eyes bulge out and fell, turning into pools of blood.

On planes, muffled sounds followed one after another. "Warning, warning! Lost pilot command, entering autopilot mode!" The entire plane's alarms flashed, and emergency notifications played continuously.

The president of the Apocalypse Association's voice trembled. "You killed them all!"

"They deserved it!" Elbert slowly approached, glaring at the president. "Have you heard of a unit called the Apex Guardians in Veridiania?"

The president, pressed against the wall, stammered, "I don't know!"

Elbert frowned and spoke softly. "I've been thinking about this. Even I had to go through a lot to find your Apocalypse Association. How did the Apex Guardians, who just returned from the border, get your location so quickly?"

"Who gave them the information?"

"Is someone setting them up?"

Elbert's gaze was icy, and the temperature in the cabin seemed to drop. The president couldn't speak for a long time.

Elbert's face turned fierce. "The phrase 'responding to a call from a thousand miles away' often echoes in my ears. Now, they can't come; they all rest underground."

"I haven't given Autumn Red Brow's gift yet because I feel guilty for not exposing your Apocalypse Association sooner!"

"Someone dared to frame my brothers who fought alongside me?"

"I'll make them disappear!"

As Elbert spoke, on the other side of the world, a high-ranking official from Veridiania's information department was in a luxurious villa, far beyond his means, with women on either side. Suddenly, his eyes bulged, and he collapsed, his body dissolving into liquid.

On the plane, Elbert had reached the president. "I must admit, your Apocalypse Association managed to control nearly 200 high-ranking officials worldwide. Your plan is impressive, but unfortunately, you met me!"

As Elbert finished speaking, muffled sounds and screams echoed from official buildings worldwide. The hidden agents of the Apocalypse Association were all dead, along with assassination plans and post-nuclear explosion riot plans.

"You know killing them will have serious consequences!" The president tried to sound tough, but he was filled with fear.

"Consequences?" Elbert sneered. "I swore to wipe out the Apocalypse Association completely!"

Elbert's thoughts activated the electric shades in the cabin, letting in blinding sunlight that dispelled the darkness, revealing the president's appearance. He wasn't a complete human. The left half was a bald middle-aged man, while the right half was a high-precision mechanical body with a red-glowing infrared camera for an eye. He couldn't move freely, connected to the wall by numerous wires, only able to move his left arm or stand up.

Robert commented, "His technology achieved brain-machine interface, human brain and electronic chip working together, similar to our cooperation but a hundred times less advanced. The wall likely houses his power source and computer processor."

Elbert looked at the president with disdain. "No wonder you had no combat power in my detection. You're a half-human, half-machine thing! And you're foolish."

Elbert snatched the antique flintlock pistol from the president's hand. "I've never heard of someone keeping gunpowder and bullets in an antique gun!"

Elbert cocked the gun, extended his arm, and aimed at the president's head. The president's forehead was instantly covered in cold sweat.

Elbert spoke softly. "The gunpowder in this gun has been stored for so long, it might misfire, or it might shoot."

"Let's see if this antique gun decides your fate!"

Elbert pressed the gun to the president's forehead. The president trembled, unable to escape.

Elbert's lips curled up. "Your Apocalypse Association leads the world in technology. If the president dies by a 200-year-old gun, it would be quite ironic!"

The president swallowed hard, eyes wide, the device on his chest beeping erratically, his heart rate abnormal.

Elbert sneered. "Good luck."

The president tightly closed his eyes. Elbert pulled the trigger, but only a crisp click was heard. The gunpowder was damp, and the bullet didn't fire.
