Chapter 22 Everyone Could Be a Salesman
Elbert, who was driving, turned his head and tried to eavesdrop.
From the back seat, Lori and Carol were having a conversation.
"Miss Brown, although the order from the Elysium Care Center has reached 1 billion, they have already rejected us three times. I really don't have much confidence."
"Carol, being rejected three times is nothing. The 1 billion order is something I must secure. You know how important this order is to me!"
"But, Miss Brown, I always feel that Mr. James from the Elysium Care Center has bad intentions towards you... I'm afraid he wants to..."
"Carol, stop talking. This deal concerns my ranking, my reputation, and my father's reputation! I must fight for it!"
Hearing this, Elbert understood everything.
The FutureTech Group's main business was producing medical equipment, and the Elysium Care Center was a large private hospital, a standard target customer!
But Mr. James seemed like an asshole who wanted to take advantage of women!
"Robert, help me check out this man."
"Got it!"
[Curtis James, Male, 45 years old;
Started by selling fake drugs, founder and legal representative of the Elysium Care Center;
Has underworld connections;
Worldly and slick, extremely lecherous;
Elysium Care Center: Large chain of private hospitals, 16 branches nationwide;

Omitting 120 other medical accidents at Elysium Care Center!
Most were settled privately or concealed. The hospital did not face related penalties!
Additionally: Elysium Care Center has issues with misreporting conditions, using fake drugs, and employing unlicensed personnel!]
"A devil among humans! How can such a person still be alive?"
The more Elbert read, the angrier he got, instinctively cursing out loud!
"Lori, don't worry. Leave this scum Curtis to me!"
Elbert said angrily.
"Elbert, you are not allowed to speak, not a single word!"
"If you mess up my business, I'll fire you!"
Lori was very cautious this time.
She could allow Elbert to fool around, but she couldn't tolerate his delayed work!
She couldn't let him break off her business!
Elbert sighed helplessly.
He thought Lori really knew nothing about his true motivation!
The Elysium Care Center, Director's Office.
The pot-bellied, bald-headed Curtis was smiling and staring at Lori, his eyes constantly ogling at her chest and hips!
"Lori, I know why you come here. But the order you're talking about is very difficult to handle for me!"
"You know, the current situation is tough. For our hospital to suddenly use such a large sum of cash would be very damaging!"
Lori frowned and said, "Mr. James, as long as you are willing to consider our products, I can make some adjustments. Everything is negotiable!"
"Everything is negotiable?"
Curtis shifted his gaze to Lori's slender waist and smiled. "Lori, you know, my shareholders trust me a lot. As long as I agree on the deal, this deal is almost certain!"
"But this isn't something that can be decided in just a few words!"
"How about this? I'll book a suite at the Sunset Oasis Resort today. We can have a meal and discuss it over dinner?"
"A suite?"
Elbert, who had been silent all along, said in a low voice. "A young lady discussing business with you in a suite? What are you thinking about?"
Curtis was taken aback and looked at Elbert. "And who might this be?"
"Elbert, stop."
Lori turned to Curtis and smiled. "Mr. James, don't mind him. He's just my new driver."
"Oh, just a driver?"
Curtis leaned back and frowned. "Just a driver? Young man, stay out of these business matters!"
"You all should watch your mouth. I think you all know that I have some friends with deep backgrounds. Don't make me mad, okay?"
After saying this, Curtis leaned back and smiled at Lori.
After a moment of silence, Lori gritted her teeth and said, "Mr. James, if I agree to have dinner with you, can we finalize the order?"
Elbert noticed that as Lori said this, she took out that metal ballpoint pen again and clicked it repeatedly.
She was clearly struggling internally!
"Of course, if you honor me with your presence, I will do my best!"
Curtis smiled with a subtle, evil look.
"Then I have a condition. I hope you don't mind, Mr. James."
Lori suddenly looked up and said, "First, we only have dinner. Second, I will bring my assistant Carol with me!"
"Of course!"
Curtis turned to look at Carol, smirking internally.
'Two beauties?'
'How lucky I am?'
'I'll just add some sedatives to the wine.'
'And you two...'
Some dirty thoughts popped up in his mind.
"Alright then, Mr. James, see you tonight!" Lori greeted him and left.
On the way to the parking lot.
Lori's brow was furrowed.
She knew very well that Curtis wasn't easy to deal with!
Elbert glanced at Lori and said, "I just forgot something at the table. You two, wait by the car for a bit!"
"Elbert, you're the driver, and you're telling us to wait for you?"
Lori looked displeased.
Elbert raised an eyebrow. "Miss Brown, didn't you say that everyone at The FutureTech Group is a salesperson and needs to find their business? Even though I'm just a driver, maybe I can talk business with Curtis."
Lori was left speechless by this and stood there stunned!
"Elbert, stop right there!"
"Give me 5 minutes!"
By the time Lori came to her senses, Elbert had already run off!
Elysium Care Center, Director's Office.
Curtis saw Elbert push the door open and enter.
He burst out laughing. "Lori's driver, huh? What's the matter. Is Miss Brown getting impatient?"
Elbert casually sat down at Curtis's desk.
He propped his legs up on the desk.
Lighting a cigarette with a limited-edition Zippo, he exhaled a smoke ring and said, "Curtis, you asshole."
