Chapter 53 The Great Singer Paul?

Feeling indignant, Lori refused to be outdone and turned to fetch her own proposal. She placed both hers and Rex's in front of Ethan.

"The FutureTech Group Presents: Superstar Paul at Wavehaven Stadium Super Concert" and "The FutureTech Group and Superstar Paul: Charity Gala for Disabled Children."

Ethan looked at the two proposals on the desk, his smile growing wider.

"Rex, yours is a super concert—high-end, fashionable, explosive, and grand. Lori, yours is a charity gala—public service, compassion, and warmth."

"Exactly, and many of our new products are home devices for preventing childhood diseases, which aligns perfectly with helping disabled children," Lori added defiantly.

"This makes it difficult for me." Ethan smiled faintly, placing his hands behind his head. "You Brown Family members can't even reach a consensus and hurriedly called me over?"

"I'm here today because your dad invited me to your family's dinner in four days. I had a chat with him about what you've been up to, Lori, and that's why I heard about your team's latest product launch. Mr. Brown mentioned that there's a young, talented guy showing a keen interest in you lately, isn't there? "

Ethan grinned mischievously. "Lori, will you give me another chance? I was head over heels for you for two whole years, and I still have feelings for you."

Ethan then pointed to the proposals on the desk. "Lori, if you agree to continue developing our relationship, I would choose your charity gala without hesitation today."

Ethan's gaze shamelessly roamed over Lori's form. It dawned on her that Ethan's desires hadn't waned. Known for his playboy ways in their college years, Lori observed Ethan's alluring female secretary standing close, almost brushing shoulders with him. It was evident to her that Ethan's old habits die hard.

Lori said coldly, "Ethan, let's focus on the business. As for the two of us, things didn't work out in the past, and it won't happen in the future, either."

Ethan first frowned slightly and then burst into laughter. In his heart, Lori's aloof demeanor only fueled his desire to conquer her.

"In that case, I'll have to consider these two proposals carefully. As for when I'll give my answer, let's wait until the Brown Family's banquet. But if Mr. Brown finds out that I rejected Lori's proposal, he might be very disappointed."

Ethan smiled meaningfully. Lori's face darkened.

"By the way, is the young and talented man Mr. Brown mentioned in the company now? I can't wait to meet him." Ethan said casually with a mischievous smile.

In the quiet room, a clear metallic sound suddenly rang out. Everyone looked towards the sound and saw a young man in a white shirt leaning against the wall. He lit a cigarette with a shiny Zippo lighter.

"Jesus, I didn't even notice you. When did you come in?" Ethan was startled and cursed.

"I've been here the whole time. Are you blind?" Elbert, with a cigarette in his mouth, sat on a nearby sofa.

"What did you say?" Ethan was instantly furious and was about to get up.

Elbert flicked the ash from his cigarette and said loudly, "I am the young and talented man Mr. Brown mentioned, currently working as a driver for the FutureTech Group."

"What? A driver?" Ethan wanted to be angry but also wanted to laugh. "You dare to call yourself talented, and a driver at that."

Elbert shrugged and smiled. "Yes, I seriously doubt your eyesight. A company that has been registered for just five days dares to claim they've signed Paul? Are you sure you didn't sign a random guy just named Paul? By the way, which Paul have you signed?"

Elbert said, exhaling a ring of smoke, "Today, I'll sit here and see what your so-called Paul looks like."

Ethan laughed instead of getting angry. "I knew someone would doubt me, so before I came, I specifically asked Paul to record a video. Today, I'll let you see Paul's true face," he said, taking out his phone. He played a video for everyone.

In the video, a side profile of a man in a white shirt was sitting in front of a piano. His long fingers gently pressed the keys, and the accompaniment of "Imagine" began. Then, he slowly started singing. Although it was just a couple of lines, the beautiful voice and the heavenly high notes were mesmerizing. Even though the video volume was low, it was clear that the voice was very similar to Paul's.

Then, the young man slowly turned his head. His face was very clean and handsome. He smiled, and his voice was clear and ethereal.

"Hello, friends at the FutureTech Group; I am Paul. Regarding the cooperation and promotion of products, I leave it entirely to Ethan. Looking forward to meeting you."

Everyone was stunned. They believed this guy must be Paul.

Ethan put away his phone, looking at everyone with an air of superiority. "So, how about it? Aren't you lucky to see Paul's face? "

Elbert stayed indifferent. He knew the video was artificialized. Just as the video was playing, Robert had already analyzed the results: 1% original voice, 99% synthesized. The guy in the video was just a third-rate music school student. The whole thing was a 'Paul' made with tuning software.

Elbert faked a smile and clicked his tongue. "Mr. Johnson, impressive. "

Under everyone's envious gaze, Ethan swaggered and sat down again.

"I want to make a deal with Mr. Johnson." Elbert suddenly spoke.

"Want Paul's autograph or a photo?" Ethan, with an extremely arrogant expression, said, "Go ahead, what deal?"

"Let's make a deal. If I find out your Paul is a fake, could I break your left leg or your right leg?" Elbert looked at Ethan with a smile, sitting casually but exuding dominance.

"You..." Looking at Elbert, Ethan felt very uneasy. Such provocative words, yet he couldn't get angry. Instead, he was trembling inside. All the planned words were forgotten.

"Elbert, what are you talking about? This is too rude. The evidence is right there; don't cause trouble."

"Ethan is our important partner, and it's not your place to interfere." Rex, with a righteous look, stood directly in front of Elbert.

Lori was also helpless at this point. Although she felt something was off about the "Paul" in the video, she even had thoughts similar to Elbert's. But she couldn't let Elbert continue causing a scene.

She pressed her lips and said, "Elbert, there are works I need you to do. We agreed to deliver equipment to Gary yesterday, so go now; the sooner, the better."

"Alright." Elbert shook his head and smiled. When he looked at Ethan again, his gaze suddenly became sharp. He said word by word, "I am looking forward to your concert. We will see."
